Sora completely blew me away. As a vegan, I'm always hoping to find something that is not only technically vegan, but actually leaves me feeling full, satisfied, and excited about what I just ate. Sora absolutely delivered -- and then some. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unbeatable. Kyle at the bar took incredible care of us throughout the entire night and made the experience feel so welcoming and personable. I started with the veggie tempura sushi roll, made vegan-friendly with sweet potato and a vegan-friendly soy sauce. I'll be honest: I'm not usually someone who reaches for sushi because I apparently spent my entire life having bad sushi experiences. But this roll completely changed my mind. I'm a HUGE texture person, and the combination of the delicious vegetables, perfectly prepared rice, and those amazingly crispy onions was absolutely phenomenal. I was genuinely almost brought to tears over how good this sushi was. For my main course, I ordered the drunken noodles with the vegan steak, and I was absolutely blown away. The vegan steak had such an incredible combination of color, flavor, texture, and seasoning that it was as close to the real thing as I could imagine. I haven't had steak in about 13 years, so getting to experience something like this was honestly mind-blowing. Chef Eric even came out to talk with me about the dish and shared some of his experience finding and curating the vegan steak himself. That kind of personal touch meant so much to me and really showed how much care goes into the food here. And then dessert somehow made the night even better. Chef Eric brought out a secret-menu mango passion fruit pudding that was phenomenal, and he also surprised me with an avocado chocolate mousse completely free of charge. I felt SO spoiled. The mousse was genuinely the best chocolate mousse I've ever had -- perfectly dense, with that beautiful tart chocolate flavor and flaky salt that brought everything together. What stood out to me most about Sora was how genuinely welcomed I felt as a vegan. There were no awkward questions, no hesitation, and no sense that accommodating a vegan diner was an inconvenience. Everyone was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to help me find things I would love. I truly felt spoiled from start to finish, and the hospitality was just as impressive as the food. Sora didn't just gain a happy customer -- they gained a lifelong diner. I'm already planning my next trip to Cleveland, and you better believe Sora will be on the itinerary. If you're vegan, non-vegan, or anywhere in between, I cannot recommend Sora enough. This was easily one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time.

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. So glad that you can still get a reasonably priced, delicious, and beyond filling meal here, even during these times of economic uncertainty.

Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place. It was clean and organized, the floor is in bad shape in the dining area but other than that it didn't feel dirty or unkempt.
