The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor--every bite was a delight. The service was outstanding; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or special night out. I'm giving 4 stars due to smaller portion sizes for some dishes compared to the price.

Excellent sushi. I stopped in 45 minutes before closing and the staff was friendly and fast. The sushi was fresh and very good. Prices were reasonable as well. If you're catching a show at the State Theater next door, this is a great option before/after.

Such a great spot for an early dinner. We both had salads and shared the goyza. Multiple sushi rolls later, we are happy campers! Would highly recommend. Our waitress was super sweet and gave great recommendations.

A decent place for sushi and tempura, right near Playhouse Square...which is very convenient. We found the food average and the service fairly inattentive. Our food choices...tempura shrimp and veggies, shumai (served lukewarm), cucumber salad, salmon roe sushi, spicy scallop with cucumber roll, eel & cucumber roll. So many good reviews for this place had us scratching our heads a bit, but maybe it was an off night? Again, hard to beat the convenience factor if going to a theatre show so maybe we'll give them another try sometime?

I'm not a Cleveland native and was struggling to find a spot that looked good and wasn't expensive, and I'm glad I settled on this! Wasn't busy when we arrived but quickly filled up with reservations. My food was good and very filling, husband liked his as well but wasn't mind-blowing. Baby liked his gyoza!

The food was good and the wait was very short but on my second time going the miso soup was very different and it was not what I expected. But overall it was very good.

Charming new sushi restaurant in Playhouse Square. Location is ideal for theatre-goers, but comes with the typical parking headaches of its prime location. The restaurant itself isn't too big and likely fills up quickly on event days. You can probably get away with walking in but reservations are possible as well. We were greeted with a huge smile by one of the hostesses and seated quickly. A lot of the staff seems to be Korean so despite the name, you'll actually find some Korean comforts like bulgogi and bibimbap as well. The laminated menu is the one you'll want to focus on if sushi is your aim. Use the provided marker to pick which/how many rolls you want and the sushi chefs will get working right away. I'd recommend trying at least 1-2 of those based on your fish/seafood preference and rounding out the meal with the raw sushi rolls in the first column that are more basic and VERY attractively priced. Our food came out in a very reasonable time, though the restaurant also wasn't too busy that night. The Takoyaki were on the smaller side but tasty, well-presented, and bursting with fried octopus goodness. The Pork Gyoza are deep fried and just okay. If you order a bunch of rolls, they come out on a nicely decorated wooden lazy susan so no one has to reach over each other in your group to get the roll they want. Of all the chef's and specialty rolls we tried, we couldn't pick a favorite and the quality was solid. I'm only sad that they don't stay open later since it's easy to lose track of time when you're enjoying such tasty food with friends. Would definitely be able to eat my way through several more dinners here!

First of all, the place is beautiful. You will want to stand and stare a minute when you first arrive, from the cherry blossoms overhead to the gorgeous art painted on the walls. We were welcomed immediately and seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive and efficient, again this was no small task with a bit group at a very busy time. She made great recommendations and we started with several appetizers for the table: Crab rangoon Mozzarella stick, Goyza, and crunchy rice with avocado. They were all good and cooked to perfection, but the Crab Rangoon Mozzarella sticks were show stoppers. This is fun fusion at its finest, and everyone agreed we could have just lived on those. We had to put in sushi orders early as there was a bit of a backup with the kitchen, but our server did a great job of keeping us informed about the timing and made all the entrees work out so people getting hot dishes got them at the same time as people who ordered cold dishes. I had the sora roll which is another great fashion dish with a simple tempura shrimp and avocado roll upscaled by adding thin slices of wagyu beef, spicy mayo and dark sweet soy. I loved the combo. My wife had the peking duck and said it was fantastic with a good bit of flavor and a hint of kick, cooked to perfection so it didn't get dry. My son had the mushroom risotto which he said was very flavorful, and carried a bit of asian spiciness. Other people at the table had sushi, the katsu chicken, and the crab fried rice. No one was disappointed! Finally my wife and I split the smoked creme brûlée and all I can say is, you should save room for dessert because this was a fantastic spin on a classic! The only thing I would note is that it's not a quiet restaurant. Do not expect to have a hushed or private conversation here, but even with the big group I could still hear everyone, so it's not like it's ear splitting or anything. Honestly, every part of this experience impressed me and I would love to go back next time I'm in town.

While I felt bad for her I also was starving! I didn't even get an order for food in until an hour plus after I was sat and didn't get the food until an hour after that, it was a big yikes The management did give me a gift card but I honestly would rather they just staffed better. the sushi- really disappointed, especially after all the great reputation. the pricing- quite high, especially for the amount of sushi received. And if you want something specific, just special-order it -- a robot will literally bring it right to your table. So fun and feels like you're in Japan. The service is consistently quick, and the sushi itself is always fresh and flavorful. We love their classic rolls like the Ohio Roll and Spicy Girl Roll, but they also keep things exciting with creative items like sushi sandwiches and sushi tacos. They're always coming up with something new. Pricing works differently here than most places: each plate color has its own price, so veggie rolls tend to be cheaper while raw options are a bit higher. It's super easy to keep track as you go. And definitely save room for taiyaki -- a warm, fish-shaped Japanese cake traditionally filled with sweet red bean paste (they sometimes offer fun variations too). It's the perfect sweet finish. All in all, this spot impresses us every single time. Great food, fast service, and such a unique experience -- one of our absolute favorites in Cleveland.
