The consistency is always here I absolutely love this place. Food is always fresh and made to order! The people who work there are extremely friendly. Reasoning behind the missing star is the soda machine I love that it has the real cane sugar type of soda, butttt it's always low key flat. They do however sale these fun Japanese sodas in a glass bottle. I was truly expecting a better experience, considering the location. The steak bowl was grizzly and flavorless. I did try the tofu bowl and it was excellent. This was one of the best meals we've had in ages! We started off with fried dumplings, which were expertly cooked and not greasy. Then we ordered two bowls: one with fried rice, shrimp, veggies and Thai chili sauce. The other was basil steamed white rice, steak, veggies and sesame garlic sauce. They also offer chicken, pork and tofu, and you can have traditional, udon or soba noodles instead of rice. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted spot on. The owners are so friendly and checked in to ensure all was well. Love the fountain drink options, which include Craft 62 sodas with cane sugar (try the black cherry!). I would definitely recommend getting its namesake, the soba noodle, as they are filling and healthy. I got all the vegetables (highly recommend; they're generous with their veggies which I love). I really enjoyed my first visit to Soba! I ordered the chicken bowl with soba noodles with yellow curry sauce and mixed with all the vegetables. It was incredibly tasty and very filling. It is also pretty reasonably priced for what you get. Additionally, the place is clean and the menu is clear and easy to understand. My friend got a steak noodle bowl with no spice requested but according to her, the steak was too pepper-y and kind of ruined the whole dish for her as she cannot handle any spice. So watch out for that if you can't handle spice. read more

Such a perfect go to when you just want a bomb rice or noodle bowl. Soba opened up in the middle of the pandemic along the (usually very busy) Coventry Road. They've accommodated and have take out orders only right now. You can order online on their website, which takes you to the toast app. Or you can call. It is easiest to order online so you can customize your bowl to your liking. When I ordered, there was a promotion through the online order that gives a discount. (I also found a coupon in the mail that I'll have to bring next time)! They give a generous portion of meat (love the pork belly). I typically eat half the bowl and save the rest for later. Depending on your preference, you can choose between a few options of rice or noodles. Their traditional noodz are my go-to, with all the veggies. You get to choose between two sauce flavors, so you can play up your bowl for whatever mood you're in. I like sweet and spicy, so I usually mix the Thai chili and Sriracha one. The garlic butter is great if you go with the steak option. I'm always craving a noodle bowl, which makes it perfect that Soba is right there. Too bad they don't have in person seating right now, because they have some cool artwork. read more

Came here on a date because Tree Country Bistro didn't have dine-in and didn't announce this on their website. Luckily I spotted this joint because it was the perfect first date spot on a work night! They have both noodle and rice bowls and plenty of veggies. Portions are...not as big as Chipotle or Piada because I scarfed down my whole bowl, no problem. Meat was a generous portion but wish they could add more noodles! I got the traditional noodles which were eggy and perfectly chewy. They also have soba and udon. Got a Ramune drink and had to teach my date how to go about it, haha. He loved it! There was plenty of room to sit, eat, chat. There was even available free parking in a lot--super surprising for the area! I'm sold! The server spoke really quietly and mumbled so I didn't figure out the sauce situation but I know I ordered the garlic sesame yet it came already drenched in something like teriyaki. The taste was sooo good due to everything saturated in sugary sauces and cooking oil. Good option for a casual, quick bite! Prices were high for the portions though. Soba is Japanese fast casual pick your 1,2,3 menu. This is a small menu but very clever formula of combing Japanese and fast casual. I had the chicken, vegetable Thai chili bowl. Delicious and spicy. Plan on spending about 11 bucks for lunch. Cash and credit both. The interior is laid out the same as Jimmy John's with only minimal changes: new counter and tables, signage. I noticed that someone wrote that the food was dry, but in the times we've ordered from this restaurant, we've never experienced dry food. We do prefer the steak over the chicken. My wife and I stopped in on impulse in the afternoon. It's not eye-catching from outside, and was almost empty. We were pleasantly surprised -- both had tofu with fried rice, vegetables, and Thai chili sauce. The servings were generous, the ingredients were fresh and of good quality, and the flavors were well-balanced... not drowned as is so often the case. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. There were two other groups eating or waiting for carry out. We ordered one chicken with soba and one tofu with udon. The vegan doesn't like her food cooked with meat products and the chefs were very accommodating. It took about ten minutes to prepare the food. Both dishes were very oily. The protein, veggies and noodles were drenched in cooking oil. Both of us couldn't eat more than half without getting queasy. They should try use less oil. read more
