Was very disappointed. We ordered 3 sushi rolls (lobster, crab, shrimp), hot green tea, fried rice and udon noodles. The sushi and hot tea all had a strange fishy taste. The fried rice had no more flavor than plain rice. Service was ok. She wasn't unfriendly, but not exactly friendly either. When she brought our sushi, she set it on the table without telling us which was which. Not a huge deal, but every other sushi restaurant I've been to identifies what they are delivering when there are multiple rolls on one platter. The udon noodles were good and the only thing I can recommend. Overall, there are better places in the area, so I doubt I'll return. read more

They just opened and we stopped by to check it out. Great layout and the bar. It's very much the 'Japanese sushi bar' in decor and we loved it. Service was great. But most importantly, this was the best most creative sushi menu I have ever seen. Food and presentation were excellent. I usually like this place but service was so poor tonight. As well as the food. Sweet potato roll tasted like the sweet potatoes were out of a can and not cooked / hot. Golden dragon roll was ice cold. Had to flag server down to be given water and for a second drink. Even still waited a long time to get second drink. Saturday around 5:15 pm on 11/13. I'm sorry but quite ridiculous how slow service is. Still waiting on my second drink... it has been well over 20 min since any server has been near the bar where we are sitting. Not getting second drink. Cashing...and running out of here. I will find some place else to satisfy my hunger next time. :( read more

Such a huge selection of sushi that we didn't know where to start. We ended up getting the American Roll which was crunchy and yummy. This was the first time l ever saw Calamari as a hibachi combo option so had to try it and it was tasty with the chicken. The portions are huge so I had to take a to go box to save room for dessert. It's fine. Nothing really bad to say aside from the fact that the spicy tuna roll wasn't really spicy at all. Certainly a nice, modern-looking, trendy atmosphere. I think it will do well being by the mall. A lot of people compare it to Samurai in Strongsville, and it's a fair comparison, but I don't go to Samurai unless it's one of the days that they have their discounted menu. I think it's better than Shinto in Strongsville when you factor in cost. Mizu is still the best in Parma, honestly. If you want the more trendy atmosphere I would suggest Blue Ginger or, if you're looking to spluge, Wasabi in Independence. read more

Parma (OH) was really lacking a good sushi place, and this is my new favorite spot. Fresh ingredients, big menu (it goes way beyond sushi, actually), very nice variety of cocktails. We went there as soon as it opened. The manager approached our table after dinner and was friendly and polite. Restrooms were impeccably clean. Easy parking, as it is on a commercial plaza. This restaurant has an amazing selection of sushi rolls. They have 60 (yes, 60!!) different specialty rolls, and decently priced. Many of them are ones I haven't even seen before. It's very helpful that they have pictures of all the rolls on the menu, along with the description. My favorite I've had is the moonlight roll. A friend and I love sushi and have made it a point to try any and all sushi places in Northeast Ohio, so when I got a notification of Omizu opening we had to give it a shot. Overall, very well priced and decent food. We went for lunch and I ordered both a Chicken Katsu bento box and a 2-roll combo. The Bento box had a couple pieces California roll, white rice, a couple pieces Shumai, Chicken Katsu, and choice of soup or salad. The 2-roll combo came with 2 maki rolls and choice of soup or salad. For all of this plus a 20% tip my bill totaled $20 - not bad, especially since I am a light eater and had enough sushi to take home. Our server was polite and attentive. The hostess sat us right next to a larger party and another occupied table as well, which I thought was strange as we were the only 3 tables in the restaurant and had a 1-year-old baby with us. I prefer to sit further from larger, louder parties, especially with a young child should he become fussy. The chicken was dry and the miso soup was not very flavorful, but other than that everything was pretty good. The ginger dressing on the salad was phenomenal. I would come back again for the inexpensive lunch menu, but as a Downtowner, I wouldn't make the 25-minute drive for dinner (much pricier than lunch options). Bottom line - Omizu is a great option for lunch or dinner if you are in the area, but it does not differentiate itself from any of the other strip-mall sushi places in the area. read more

Wow! Recently relocated from San Francisco and am used to quality. I was so happy to find this place. I didn't try the kitchen side but sat at the sushi bar. The chefs we're so nice and their work was beautiful, insanely fresh and their flavors were amazing. They have many creative rolls while honoring traditions. Everything was amazing here, the food, the service, the decor even the bathrooms were extremely clean! We loved everything about this. I was in town visiting my father and we have went here twice in two weeks! We love this place! We got the pork ramen, seafood ramen and a couple of different sushi and everything was delicious. My son loves loves the ramen bowls! We cleaned our plates and let nothing on the tables. No wasted food here. lol if you are looking for some good sushi and soup, DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE IP! I usually go to a different place closer to me that is currently closed but I heard that Omizu re-opened and I was going to be in the area so I wanted to give it a try. I am sooooo glad I did! Great price and great food! I am vegetarian so I had the avocado rolls and was very happy with them (I like to call myself an avocado roll connoisseur).
