    Lunch sushi sashimi combo
    Carl W.

First time here. Nice comfortable interior. There were no crowds on this weekday lunch hour. Service was good and the food hit the spot! Sushi was well executed. Everything tasted fresh. There was a lot of sauce on ine of the rolls but maybe because it was intended for my daughter? Will definitely come again.

The restaurant has a wonderful set up with plenty of seating and even a sushi bar area where you can watch them make your roll. The staff was ok but I was overlooked for seating before having my order taken. They played nice music as I waited for my sushi roll which only took about 10 mins during a not so busy lunch hour. I ordered the American Dream roll which the waiter stated was a favorite. I was impressed it was very tasty and had many flavors. I would definitely try again.

Took the kids to Omizu for sushi upon their request. My daughter says this is her favorite sushi restaurant. We were seated immediately and given menus and water. I deferred to my daughter to figure out which sushi rolls to request. My son doesn't like sushi that much, so he requested teriyaki chicken. We requested edamame as an appetizer. The edamame was hot, steamy, salty, and delicious. A short while later, our food was delivered. Since we requested four sushi rolls, they were delivered on a boat. A bucket list item can officially be removed. A lot of times, when you request a sushi boat, it's the "chef's choice". But in this case, they simply placed all of our rolls on a boat, which was sweet. The sushi was very good. My daughter and I have a saying that goes, "The sauce makes the sushi". The sauces here are great. And the sushi is tasty and fresh. I see why it is my daughter's favorite sushi shop. I'm sure we'll visit again.

Can't even express the love I have for this place. I come almost weekly. The manager, Johnny, cares so much and makes sure every time I'm here is amazing. I also love the workers. They're all so kind and great at their job, with a special shout out to Efia It's hard to not order multiple appetizers and sushi rolls because they're all delicious, and the prices are super low. I even had my mom's 60th birthday here, where they gave her a cheesecake boat, decorated the room, and even gave her a gift bag with presents. This will be a life time spot for me

Excellent and sashimi! Really enjoyed the fusion salad. Very different from any salad I've had at a sushi restaurant. The presentation of the food here is over the top! The sushi and sashimi was very good and tasted fresh. Omizu also has a large selection of special rolls. I also highly recommend the banana tempura for dessert. We shared it among three of us. Excellent dessert!

Very slow with orders. And getting them correct. Food is good but service needs to improve.

How expensive are the prices and do they have a senior citizens rate?

They are pretty inexpensive. Not sure about a senior citizens discount, but I doubt that they do. I actually don't know any decent restaurants that do that.

The restaurant is on the smaller side, but we were seated fairly quickly. Most sushi plates come with 3-4 pieces, and it's easy for the plates to add up quickly if you arrive hungry because everything looks so good as it passes by. The different colored plates indicate different price levels, which is simple to follow. If you don't see what you're looking for on the belt, you can also order directly from the waitress. Overall, a great experience with fresh sushi and a fun atmosphere!

After being seated, there is an extensive picture menu to help guide you through the food choices as well as a color-coded plate system to indicate both the style of item you are choosing (i.e., raw or cooked, cold or hot, etc.) as well as the price for each style. On the belt itself are either actual dishes you can grab right off and consume (they are all covered) or small placards you pull off and a server comes by to grab and place your custom item order. We tried a wide variety of items, both off the belt and custom made. There are various kinds of sushi, sashimi, rolls, appetizer type items, desserts, drinks...honestly too many to name here, but you get the idea. In total for the two of us I think we sampled about 7-8 dishes and that seemed about right for us. Given each plate is in the $2.50-$3.75 range it made for a very affordable lunch outing. Was it the best Japanese food we've ever had? No, but don't let that stop you from immersing yourself in this one-of-a-kind dining atmosphere. We'd definitely return!

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. So glad that you can still get a reasonably priced, delicious, and beyond filling meal here, even during these times of economic uncertainty.

Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place. It was clean and organized, the floor is in bad shape in the dining area but other than that it didn't feel dirty or unkempt.

When we got sat, it took around 15 minutes for a server to greet us and when she did, the energy shifted. I understand people have bad days but the tip percentage is decided upon the quality of service. A bitter attitude and a lack of attention is not the usual expectation when dining out. When our appetizer arrived, disappointed accompanied it. The Bang Bang Shrimp has always been a crowd favorite; this time around it was burnt yet soggy pieces of shrimp. The sauce was enveloped by the taste of frying oil, causing the flavor to be bitter. By the time our entrees arrived, morale was at an all time low but the first bite of my roll made up for it. The Ichiban roll is unique- asparagus with spicy salmon and yellow tail may sound bizarre but it works. I've come to the conclusion that Sakana is purely a sushi restaurant. I have never been displeased by the quality and flavor of the sushi. Henceforth I will be ordering off the sushi menu and I recommend you do the same.

I was working at a coffee shop nearby, 10 mins away, with a friend and we both decided to walk over to Hako to grab lunch. FOOD -- Hako has lots to choose from, including sushi, rice dishes, dumplings, etc. I ordered the Dumpling Bowl ($13.95) for lunch which was delicious and fresh. The Dumpling Bowl includes sushi rice, furikake top fried chicken dumplings, and cucumbers. It is topped with spicy mayo & eel sauce. The chicken dumplings were thick, crunchy on the ends, and slightly creamy with the spicy mayo on top. The addition of the sushi rice gave for a filling lunch. The dish wasn't too salty especially with the cucumbers on the side which added a cooling effect. I will definitely order the dumpling bowl again and the price ($13.95) is a lunch special, I believe. AMBIANCE -- Simple design inside with tables and chairs. Calm atmosphere. Clean. SERVICE -- Quick and efficient customer service. The lady at the checkout counter was very friendly. We spoke about her being from South Korea. I will definitely love to come back to Hako to dine-in for dinner.
