My nephew picked this place and I looked for previous YELP reviews. For lunch, the cost was pricey, but the food was great and I will definitely return, but probably for dinner. Meat Lasagna here and my nephew had chicken penne alfredo. For an appetizer, I ordered Krabby Cake (2 crab cakes) which we shared. The decor was nice and staff friendly and attentive. The food was filling and my teenage nephew said his meal put him over the line of being full (which is what he likes) and now he needed to take a nap. LOL read more

Upscale Italian food in a pleasant atmosphere at great prices. Hidden in a strip mall at the southwest corner of the Tussing and 256 intersection, this gem has about 15 tables - with linen tablecloths and napkins. My friends and I were the first dinner guests tonight, but several other tables were seated and served before we left at 6:15. The hostess had also set up a table for about 12, who were just starting to arrive. We didn't have wine, but the wine list on the table offered red, white, and sparkling choices by the glass or bottle. Prices seemed quite reasonable. The menu is easy to read: well-organized with brief descriptions listed on three pages. I saw lots of appetizers; side and dinner salads; several sandwiches; lots of pastas with beef, chicken, veal, and seafood; and pizzas. We started with side salads, rather standard house salad and Caesar. We enjoyed the toasted bread with a shared plate of olive oil. Two of us had lasagna; the third had spaghetti with meat sauce. Each large portion came with toasted, buttered bread (which I would have liked more garlic on). The service was outstanding. The owner / chef seated us and later came out to see how our meal tasted. Our server checked on our drinks multiple times, even after we had paid and were just chatting. I will definitely return and try other menu items. read more

Had a very nice dinner listening to Sinatra. We both had spaghetti with meat sauce. It was very filling and more than one person should eat. But I had no problems not stopping till it was gone and the plate was clean. I would have preferred the sauce to have a little more "spice". But not complaining!The owner was VERY nice and attentive. I had been wanting to try Omezzo for awhile so last night after the movies with our 15 & 5 year old daughters my husband and I decided to give it a try. This place totally confused me. The menu appears upscale and it's fairly pricey so when I saw the two TV's up in the corners with CNN on them I was a little surprised. The room is lighted properly and the decor is of a nice, quiet traditional Italian place but the TV's are tacky. I ordered a glass of wine and immediately regretted it, the only chardonnay on the menu tasted like it came out of a box, very cheap and poor tasting wine. It was no better when I switched it to the pinot grigio. I looked up the wine, Vista Point, $5 a bottle low end wine and charging $6 a glass for it. The waitress kept asking me if I wanted a moscato or riesling even after I said I didn't want anything sweet. She had no wine knowledge. I ordered the Omezzo pasta and my husband ordered the chicken penne carbonara, both of those dishes were middle of the road, I had to ask for extra bread because my sauce was so runny that I needed something to sop it up with. His dish was $17.50 and mine was $17.00, not worth it. The chicken was slightly chewy like it had been heated up in a microwave. Our daughters both ordered spaghetti and meatballs, $15 for a plate of bland spaghetti sauce and 2 mid sized meatballs. Our 5 year old had the child's portion at $6 with one meatball but it came out to her so hot that she couldn't even touch the plate for 10 minutes. She didn't eat because she was fixated on the TV's that were airing footage of the fires in California, she kept asking why all of the houses were burning down, it was upsetting to her. Why does this place have TV's up in the corners? For the prices they are charging they definitely need to up their game. None of the entrees came with salad or soup like most Italian places.. $88 later and it's still bothering me this morning. The wait staff was friendly. read more

Tried this place based on a coupon from restaurant.com, and SOLD! Based on service alone, the owners are wonderful people. She took care of us the entire evening and made us feel like family. She spent time at our table, as she did with everyone elses. Although the only one in the kitchen, he made it a point to come out and say hi to each guest and thank them for coming in, sincerely seemed to care. Now onto the food....spinich dip, chicken marsalla, meat pizza, cheese pizza, italian sub, all tasted perfect and homeade. Although just a plain enviornment, nothing exciting, its still relaxed. The service was great! The chef and his wife both came out regularly to make sure everything was as it should be. It felt more like we were dining in a family home than at a restaurant. Terrible. New to the area, was craving a good lasagna, looked up italian restaurants, was very encouraged by all the positive reviews for Omezzo. Sounded like authentic italian and the photos made it look delicious. Got it home and immediately noticed the lasagna looked EXACTLY like Stouffers (frozen), then tasted EXACTLY like Stouffers!! I was so mad to have paid for homemade authentic lasagna (menu says homemade marinara) when I could have bought an entire Stouffers lasagna for same price! Also ordered a margarita and a mixed topping pizza, they looked nothing like the photos and tasted terrible. Absolutely nothing tasted house made, all tasted like frozen food! We were happy to discover this wonderful restaurant so close to home! My son, Mitch enjoys gourmet cooking classes and was anxious to compare Omezzo's tiramasu to the one he learned at Sur La Table. After tasting a great meal and the dessert, he awarded Chef Z the winner ! We ordered an entire tray to take to a party! Our family has tasted nearly 50% of the items on the menu and has enjoyed everything! We love having this wonderful family run diner so convenient to our home, and love that this family business is not a chain!! Pickerington is long overdue for such a wonderful Italian bistro! The owners have recently moved to Pictown and live near us and the Pickerington Community Pool. Their 2 sons will go to school with our children. We love Omezzo's! Never had a bad meal or bad service. Always have been greeted with warmth from the owners and other wait staff. The Lobster Ravioli is my hands down favorite. Our youngest kids love the lasagna, meat or veggie. Our oldest son enjoys the chicken parmesan. My husband likes it all. Save room for dessert....chocolate cake is sharable by 2 or more and you will savor every bite. I was never a fan of Tiramisu until I had theirs. If you are local, try their $5 lunches. Over 10 choices. Something for everyone! Try them out for yourself and see what you have been missing!! read more

Went there yesterday w/ my wife and daughter for Mother's Day. When we walked in, the lady at the counter pointed us towards a table and we sat down. After a few minutes no one had greeted us. An older couple came in and sat down and was immediately greeted and given drinks. We sat there for 10 min and a waiter never approached us. This is not a large place so it would be impossible not to notice us. Terrible service, I wish I could give it zero stars...good luck read more

We watched a segment on one of the local stations about Omezzo Italian Restaurant ( http://omezzoitalian.com ), located on 256 (next to the Goodwill store). The food is absolutely wonderful!!! Everything is made fresh when you order and the portions are generous. This is true Italian cooking. They have been in existence for two years and have won first place both years at the "Taste of Pickerington." It's a quaint restaurant with linen tablecloths and napkins, great atmosphere and service. I highly recommend it and know we will be returning soon to try out more items on the menu. read more

I have been here twice in the last month, the last time with a party of 9. The food and service is fantastic! The chef visited my table several times during each visit. Their wine list is very nice, they have several good appetizers and whole list of Italian dishes, prepared to perfection. The lobster bisque is extraordinary. Both times I was here, it was not very busy but we were there at somewhat odd times. Pickerington does not have a long list of first rate restaurants. As a matter of fact it is very short. I hate to give a new locally owned restaurant a bad review but we were not impressed with Omezzo's at all. I would give it 1 1/2 stars. I realize they recently opened and are trying to save money but they only had one server for many tables. She was stretched way too thin serving and cleaning tables that she couldn't give any type of service. To begin with the soda mixture was very weak, we both had cokes. My husband got baked ziti. It was a bowl full of pasta and cheese, very little sauce. You could literally pick up a noodle and either had a glob of cheese or nothing at all. It came with a piece of toasted bread. If you wanted a salad or soup it was an upcharge. I got a small pizza which was nothing special. One thing I noticed, both dishes were heavily herbed but had very little flavor. Basically dried herbs were thrown in at the last minute, not incorporated into the dishes. I hope that makes sense. So unfortunately we won't be back. I hate not supporting a local business but this place did not provide food worth going back for. I do wish them the best and hope other patrons have a better experience than we did. read more

ordered some carry out and presented a restaurant.com gift certificate and the lady cashier started getting mad and offended telling me that i can use it only if I dine in. But when I asked her where did it say no carry out on the certificate she couldn't find anything that says no carry out. Then she started telling me she won't even get her foods worth if she accept that certificate and the only way she would let me get carry out is if she add an 18% gratuity to my bill? In my mind I was like wow but I just went ahead and told her is fine. ordered some pizza and pasta. The pizza bread tasted weird and the pasta was water down. I don't know why they wanna sell gift certificates if they going to be mad that customers use it. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars because I was pleasantly surprised after going into a restaurant inside a shopping center. I was worried at first when we got there on a Friday night and they were not busy but as we ate our meal they started to fill up rather quickly with parties and such. Service was excellent, they were very attentive but didn't hover and drinks were always full. Food came out perfectly timed and rather quickly. I would't say this a super unique Italian joint but it is GOOD food and it tastes very fresh and like it was made with care. And it sounds like their chef offers specials regularly and will cook your meal to suit you with modifications. (the friend I dined with always makes changes) Salads were crisp and fresh and I could tell the meatballs were definitely made from scratch. My bill with one of the less expensive entrees, a salad added, and splitting an appetizer was under $25 (didn't order wine, drinks ALWAYS up the price significantly). My first experience with Omezzo was excellent. The menu offered extensive options and the service was friendly and attentive.

After reading the reviews, and seeing that there was a new restaurant near, we finally stopped in. We were very happy. The food was outstanding and the staff was super attentive. We had crab cakes, wings, and spinach dip for appetizers, and all were excellent. We had angel hair with meatballs, penne chicken alfredo, and meat lovers pizza, all were homemade to order, served steaming hot and all were excellent. The owner recommended his homemade tiramisu for dessert and it was the best we have ever had. We will definitely be back and we will be telling all of our friends of this new found gem. read more

My wife and I stopped in for pizza last night and we were happy to find a new local Italian food destination. We started with a Meat lover Pizza and added some veggies that we prefer. We enjoyed all fresh ingredients on a thin New York style (you can fold it) crust. We noted a nice list of sandwiches and entrees that we will be back to try soon. The have some unique appetizers as well. The restaurant was very clean and inviting with white table clothes and pleasant décor. The service was attentive an gave a definite family run vibe. Prices were mostly less than $10 with some entrees and large pizzas around $13 -$15. The owners noted the will have a license for wine soon. We enjoyed our dinner and just finished the leftovers for a late lunch! read more

First visit tonight to Omezzo, we were seated and finishing dinner, there was a line of people waiting & a couple approached the female owner requesting to be seated before everyone else. The host told the female they were on the list to be seated after a few other couples, the female basically said too bad and gave them the only empty table ahead of several people!! The couple told the host they had been coming since the opened hoping to influence the host. I admire the host for telling the female owner that her decision was wrong and unfair to those waiting in line! He stood up for what was right, not many young workers woukd have done that. Probably won't go back based on the owner's lack of integrity. read more

My husband said, "If I wanted Stouffers Lasagna I could of went to Kroger's and got a whole pan for the price I paid". He swears it was Stouffers'.I had Shrimp Alfredo and only got a few shrimp and my son didn't like his meatball sandwich which is rare for him. When I make my meatball subs he will eat two of them. Don't waste your money. He got us for $60 and it was the biggest disappointment I had in a long time. Family of 5, went here for my mom's birthday. We had picked it out of reviews online and were looking for a new place to try. I live in Boston and before that NYC so authentic, real excellent ethnic food, I have had the best and do not always expect to find when I go back home to visit in Ohio. BUT this food was excellent, fantastic and the chef and staff were professional, helpful, delightful, fun and friendly. The entire family was happy with every dish, wine and service. The prices are fair and the only costly part was ordering a bottle of wine, but where isn't it. We will return, so good. read more

This is a new restaurant in Pickerington and my husband and I highly recommend it. The food is freshly prepared, the quantities are good, the prices are more than reasonable and the food is delicious. We had the Carbonara Penne Pasta and Spicy Blackened Tilapia. Both were very good; the tilapia was quite spicy. On the owner/chef's recommendation, we had Tiramisu for dessert....the best I've ever had, fresh, creamy and yummy. This place piqued my interest with the good reviews on here. Totally not worth it! It took 1 hour to get our food and we didn't even get appetizers! Nobody bothered to apologize for the wait. When I inquired the waitress asked did I need to be somewhere else? I couldn't help but tell her truthfully, no, I just arrived for dinner hungry! Finally a different waitress stopped to inquire as to the size of our party so she could bring us each ONE slice of bread while we waited! My cheese tortellini carbonara arrived with burned bacon throughout, my husbands chicken Diablo had no spice, just a creamy tomato sauce. They did give me 50% off the carbonara because of the burnt bacon . Very disappointing! PS. While there I observed 2 different customers come in for carry out that wasn't ready and I could hear them complain they had placed their orders an hour beforehand! And the owners teen children could be seen in the back room playing & messing around and one was barefoot; I just found that all very distracting. Tried it myself for the first time last evening and my wife and I were very impressed. The menu is Italian / American cuisine (pasta, pizza, hamburgers, etc..), with very decent prices (entrees under $10), great portion sizes, and the food was fantastic. You could tell everything was fresh. We had the spinach and artichoke dip which was hand made and came with excellent pita bread for dipping (just as delicious as 'Olga bread' but not as chewy/doughy) and split a pizza. The pizza sauce and crust were amazing and would highly recommend. Only downside is it's a bit of a challenge getting into the plaza traffic-wise, and the interior is a bit spartan, but otherwise a solid local gem. read more
