Maybe it's my personal pet peeve but 2 seconds after I sit down and barely open my menu I don't want to be asked about an appetizer. I ordered chicken pomodoro and my dining companion the lasagna. Both our food came out piping hot which is a definite plus. Served by someone different than who took order. My dish was tasty with a decent amount of chicken. The lasagna was reported to be ok - too crispy on the bottom, pasta bit dense, and needed salt. We both were amazed that they did not serve even with a piece of bread to sop up sauce. What Italian restaurant does t serve bread at these prices ? Server never came back to check on us or to see if we needed anything. I finally flagged someone down to get more water. Then when we were given the check - by a person in white coat so probably the chef he went over to the next table to tell them about the special for $30. This place was perfect for our Saturday night dinner. Be sure to make reservations! They were hosting a large party when we were there but also had tables of two. Our children were with us. This place is family friendly or could be romantic, all just depending on the children there. The kids' meals were very large portions, and they had plenty to take gone. They also offered basic food for the kids' meals, not elaborate dishes that my picky kids wouldn't eat. My daughter ordered butter noodles, and I kid you not, they were the best buttered noodles I've ever tasted. I was trying to be healthy and ordered a Cajun salad. I've eaten in Louisiana. What a hidden gem! First time here, but certainly not the last! We had reservations as it was Valentines Day weekend, and we were glad we did. The atmosphere is nice, however the seating area for inside dining is very limited. There were some walk-ins that arrived as we were dining, but most people had reservations. This was our first time trying Omezzo after seeing all the reviews about the place. I was craving lasagna and after much indecision between Omezzo and another local Italian place we've been wanting to try, we chose Omezzo. I called and placed a pick up order and was told about 20 minutes. Not a problem! I arrived about 25 minutes later and another gentleman walked in ahead with a pick up order as well. He gave the woman at the counter what he ordered, then paid and was told it wasn't ready. She then asked me. I told her what I ordered, I paid my bill and was told it would be about two minutes. Again, not a problem! Then a lady picking up through Grubhub came in to get her customer's order. The woman behind the counter seemed annoyed with the Grubhub driver, told the driver it wasn't ready and she would have to wait and then went over to a table to help a customer. At that point another lady came from the back with a bag of food. She first asked the gentleman what he had and again, he repeated his order. It wasn't his. Then she asked me. I walked over to her and was telling her what I ordered when a man came from the back on a phone, taking a customer's order. As I continued on telling the woman what I had ordered, the man asked me to stop talking and wait. Seriously? You can't talk on the phone with a customer while another employee helps another customer? Absolutely rude and unprofessional. He then got off the phone, the woman I had been talking to said my name and gave me my food and I left. Now for the food: I put my feelings aside about the awful service and focused on the food itself. The lasagna I had been craving was terrible. Not good at all. I thought it may have just been me so I asked my fiancé to try it and tell me what he thought. He said it tasted like Stouffers! Stouffers from the frozen food section!!! The garlic bread it came with was just bread. It was two pieces of bread, barely toasted in one spot on one side, with almost no garlic on it. We also ordered two meatballs which were really good and the only good thing we had. The final item we ordered was Chicken Francaise. It was supposed to be in a lemon cream sauce but could barely taste any lemon at all and the breading was a little greasy. Definitely not worth the $20 for that plate and none of this was worth the trip over and money paid. We had high hopes for this place on our first time, which is now our last time. We will definitely not recommend Omezzo to anyone who asks! Quick tip: treat ALL customers with respect. Word of mouth goes a long way! read more

I had their special with cheese ravioli in a Vodka sauce and it was great, A friend enjoyed their sausage in a spicy tomato sauce and it had just enough spice. Salad was good, the dressing was light and very well made. Had a bowl of lobster bisque. That is usually were the establishment looses me. My soup HAS TO BE hot and man was it ever...LOVED IT! Then I had the lobster ravioli. Great portion size and the sauce was amazing! Finished the night with Taramassu. Found the chocolate and caramel drizzle to be an outstanding touch. Wish I could have given this place a 5 but I am reviewing the dine in experience as well. The head chef (owner?) greeted us when we came in which was cool. Nice small non chain restaurant, which is way too hard to find in Pickerington. When we sat at the table and my wife noticed a little fly in the parm cheese shaker. (Gross much?) we told the server about it and her response was, "oh that's ok, it's summer. I won't tell anyone about this, wouldn't want to upset the chef." What the heck??? So the meal went on and we placed our orders and I asked if we could get a refill on bread. The waitress said "sure, we actually have a garlic bread and cheese bread too if you would like to try." Me ,thinking these were different styles of the fresh complimentary bread, said that I would try the cheese bread. She brings out a large plate of bread with melted cheese on it. Obviously an appetizer. We really had to spell it out that we were misled by her phrasing and did not want an appetizer. She seemed personally offended. Through out the the meal she rushed us- To order, getting through the meal, bringing boxes as I am still eating and giving no visual cues we were done. All around weird vibe. Picked up a carryout order on 11/22/21 consisting of Lasagna and the Chicken Parm Sandwich. Staff were attentive and courteous. My wife thought the sandwich was pretty good. In retrospect, I wish I had followed suit. Sadly, the so-called Lasagna was simply a soupy bowl of pasta shells (perhaps manicotti) smothered in tomato sauce with meat bits (emphasis bits) and cheese. It was neither appetizing nor enjoyable. I planned to meet some of my yelp friends here for dinner since they've been raving about the restaurant for a long time. So I came in and the restaurant owner was so pleasant. He had me seated and told me I could wait till my friends came. I got the soup of the day which was mushroom soup it was hearty. Then for the main entree I went with the Eggplant Parmesan. I can never go wrong with Eggplant Parmesan anywhere I go because it's like my favorite dish. This owner just made it that much better. The outer breading was yummy with the eggplant cooked to perfection. Topped with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. On the side was pasta and that was delicious as well. By the way, I heard a previous Yelper was here before us and she complimented the owner and said his food was better than Lindey's! So I would highly recommend trying this place in Pickerington. It's right off 70 and I know that's a pain in the butt traffic, but if your willing to sacrifice it for good food you will be happy you did! The owner knows what he's doing here! He's got the ingredients and everything to make anyone satisfied. Even the ambiance of the Italian music is so romantic that I would bring my hubby here just as a date night meal! We tried this place a few years ago and we were not impressed. A guy from work recommended we try it again and they thought it was good. So, we decided to give it another try and ordered to go meals. The lobster bisque was ok. Not the best we've had but, not the worse. The food was just ok. We ordered the bruschetta, eggplant parm, veggie tortellini, and Tiramisu. The bruschetta was my favorite of the meal, but wasn't the best I've ever had... the tortellini was a little bland, but had a nice texture. The parm was good, but not outstanding. To be honest, it wasn't anything that I couldn't have produced at home, especially for the price. The environment was great though, I really enjoyed the staff - which is what bumped the review a star. I may give it a change again, but I can't say that it'll be soon. read more
