If you know us, we love a good omakase -- and we literally travel just to find and try new ones. This one is definitely high on our list. The ambience is intimate, elevated, and the service was truly on par with other Michelin-level omakases we've been to. We were seated next to a fellow foodie who said she's been here many times -- and that says a lot. As foodies ourselves, there are only a handful of places we return to often, and this would be one of them. We tried all the add-ons they offered -- and the uni gohan with truffle was especially amazing. Highly recommend getting the Grand Tasting with the pairing as well -- it includes sake and wine and elevates the whole experience even more. Also love that many women lead and own parts of this concept -- big plus for me. Every dish was thoughtfully made, beautifully presented, and several were completely unique compared to other omakases we've tried before -- especially the sushi topped with "ice cream" that was actually frozen fish liver. Surprisingly delicious and unlike anything we've had elsewhere. If you're like us and have tried many omakase experiences -- this is absolutely a must-visit when in Atlanta.

One of the best meals I've ever had! The service was impeccable - there were only 14 or so seats available for the meal and everyone was seated at the sushi bar where we could watch the chefs prepare the food, which made for a really fun and interspersed experience. Because the seating is so limited the space is not overly loud and very intimate. I provided a picture of the menu when we went, but it changes (hence omakase) so I won't get into the specific courses. What I will say is that everything we had was spectacular. We added the saki pairings and it was worth it. The entire experience was 5 stars.

One star Michelin Traditional omakase that has only 2 rooms in the parking lot of the new Publix off piedmont. One star off because I thought it was pretty pricey for the value (almost $1500 for a party of 2, but we did drink a lot lol).. The service was very attentive. I wanted less rice for my nigiri as I was leaving some rice on the sushi plate, and they made a note of that. The first uni in the tasting flight was sooo good, light and sweet. A huge contrast with the second one. The A5 waygu was good but was def too rich

We've done omakase restaurants in other major US cities, and this one may rank in the #1 spot. The service is incredible from the moment you walk in the door. The restaurant itself is located in a strip mall in Buckhead, which is definitely weird at first. However, the inside is super vibe-y, and all of the details are beautiful. The dishes the meal is served in are beautiful, the bathrooms, everything. The food was incredible. We also both got pairings (1 of us got the sake pairings and the other go the grand pairing). I'd recommend just going for the grand pairing (you basically get everything from the sake pairing + 2 wines). We both had different opinions of favorites, and there wasn't really a consensus on the best dish. Which to me means that all of the dishes were spectacular. We both came into the night not huge uni fans, but the course with the 3 tasting flight of uni really changed our minds. If you're looking for a superior dining experience in ATL, this place should be at the top of your list.

I loved everything about this place. I loved the decor. The food course was well thought out and everything was delicious. Chef was great and loved the interaction we could have with him throughout the course. The service was absolutely wonderful. I even like the Polaroid picture at the end, such a cute gift given with the menu.

Omakase Table is a 20-course dining experience and at first I was worried that I would not be able to finish all 20 courses, but Chef Paul did an amazing job with course sizes and pacing! By far my favorite omakase experience in the Atlanta area and their 1-Michelin star rating is well deserved! Chef Paul was super knowledgable about all of the cuts of fish and the history behind different aspects of Japanese culture. The restaurant itself is an extremely intimate setting with 2 small rooms so each setting is split evenly. Restaurant decor is very tasteful and it feels like you're transported to Japan once you step through the front door with the rock garden walkway and the shoji screen walls. Highly recommend this spot to any sushi lover looking for the best sushi in the Atlanta area!

This place and experience was EVERYTHING! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was super intimate and welcoming. It's like you're being invited into someone's home for a really special dinner (except that someone happens to be a ridiculously talented sushi chef). The entire experience felt personal and thoughtful. Every course was a surprise and somehow better than the last. The fish was insanely fresh! melt-in-your-mouth and the flavors were creative without being over-the-top. You could tell how much care and precision went into each piece. The staff were awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun, not stuffy or pretentious. If you're into sushi or just love trying new food experiences, check them out! It's a splurge, but 100% worth it. Can't wait to go back!

Had an incredible experience dining here during a trip to Buckhead. The outside is unassuming, almost speakeasy-style in its low-key presentation. The inside was very clean and elegant. All staff members were extremely friendly, professional, and attentive. Started with welcome bubbles and caviar and then progressed through 20 delicious courses. The nigiri presentation is exquisite. Rice is warm. Highlights include the uni flight, hotate, and sharkskin nigiri. Chef was competent and kind.

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The staff was attentive and friendly. As a solo dinner, I feel like they were hanging out with me more just to make it more fun. It's a twenty course omakase and every course was amazing. Some of the standouts were the filefish, wagyu sukiyaki, lean tuna and the yellowtail. But honestly, everything was great. At $255 with 20% service charge, it's not cheap, but if you're a foodie and/ or sushi lover, this place is a must.

This place has been on my watchlist for some time so I finally decided to try it. I made a reservation via Open Table for a party of one. There was plenty of availability at the time so I was able to get a seat for the upcoming Friday. While in my uber, the driver mentioned he had been to the restaurant before and said I would really enjoy it. I hadn't eaten much that day so I was ready for a nice meal. Upon arrival, I was seated at the counter like traditional Omakase. Chef Paul introduced himself and the server introduced himself as well. They asked my water preference and provided me with a welcome drink along with cavier. The menu is pre-determined by the chef and provided when you're seated so you can follow along as the courses are provided. There are 20 courses. The seafood used is really fresh and some of the best cuts available. You can tell the chef is super knowledgeable about food and flavor profiles by the way he explains each dish. I enjoyed the experience alot. The one con is that I requested my dessert first in my reservation. When I arrived they weren't able to accommodate it because they mentioned they serve everyone the same thing together. However, the dessert was just a slice of cake. I set idle for some time in the beginning because we were waiting for another couple before beginning the dinner so I do feel it could've been served during that time. This is the only prix fixe place I've been to that wasn't able to accommodate this request. Overall I did enjoy my dining experience and would recommend this place. I could see them potentially getting a Michelin star next year.

WOW. Where do I even start? Food: There was not a bite that we did not think was absolutely out of this world. All of the fish was incredibly fresh, sliced to the perfect thickness, served at the perfect temperature, and combined with creative and unique compliments. One dish had thinly shaved freeze dried strawberries that added a touch of acidity that I loved. The caviar was of the highest quality, and was supper fatty and nutty. I was very impressed with the special uni tasting. 10/10 Service: They are knowledgeable about the dishes, techniques and reasoning behind the recommended mode of eating to experience the intended flavor. The service is outstanding. Knowledgable staff and attentive without being over-bearing. The perfect balance. All other elements I give a 10/10, ambience, etc. Very intimate and exclusive. I want to give a special review for Chef Yang who was one of the chefs handling our meal. Everything was executed with such precision and passion. You could see by the smile on her face and look in her eyes that she was very proud of what she was creating and was confident we were about to be blown away. I loved the technique she was using while creating the nigiri. It was very graceful like a dance. She kept a very clean station as she worked and maintained a clean appearance herself. 10/10 It was my birthday and the menu had the date and happy birthday on it which I could take home as a souvenir, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be going back every few months. Everything is in the details and I could go on and list many more but I would like to leave some as a surprise.

Is gratuity included in the fixed price?

They add a 20% service fee, which I took to be the tip. You pay the whole bill at the time of reservation, so there's no way to leave a tip at the restaurant unless you leave cash.

If you are close to Buford Hwy you should try this place. They have parking for a few cars right in front, a smallish restaurant inside with a full sushi bar. Their menu is pretty comprehensive and includes fried rice, noodles, sushi rolls, sashimi, soups etc. As we were a large group we ordered a bunch of things. Most of the entrees are served with a salad and soup making it quite the meal. We ordered the sashimi appetizer, the pork gyoza, shrimp shumai, omelette, combination fried rice, B-52 roll, sunrise roll, crunchy roll I think. Sashimi was fresh - yellowtail, tuna, salmon. The gyoza was delicious and table favorite Honestly, I even enjoyed the pork belly omelette. So flavorful... The fried rice was cooked well but was missing some seasoning/salt. Otherwise good. The rolls were great and we selected ones that had some spice. My favorite was the sunrise roll - a little crunchy inside yet with a slight kick. The staff felt a little overwhelmed with our group but they were polite and helpful. Food was prices reasonably and worth it (for the portion sizes).

That said, locals recommended it, and I usually love sushi as a post-flight meal since it's light and fresh. The ambiance is dreamy, and I really appreciated the attentive service and bar seating. Unfortunately, they fell a bit flat for me. I ended up adding a lot of soy sauce since they sincerely lacked flavor. When the bill came, I realized this probably wasn't the best choice for a quick, light meal. The prices were comparable to California, but the quality didn't quite match. That said, the person sitting next to me mentioned she visits often and felt that the night was a bit off, so I'd be open to giving it another try next time I'm in town.

Service? Excellent. Ambiance? Relaxed and enjoyable. Food? Oh...MAN. Wow…read more.. I came here about 8 years ago with the same family members +1 family friend and we enjoyed dinner then, but it truly didn't compare to this visit. Previously, I had Kang Nam slated as an overpriced, but decent sushi place that serves meals on a more robust scale if you're dining with a party. However, the sushi back then was somewhat underwhelming. Last night, we had a phenomenal set. Hamachi, Otoro, Unagi, Ebi, and more! Every piece was delicately balanced and beautifully arranged. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting too much going in- and I'd only chosen Kang Nam as a place where I could get some decent sushi while my family got something else entirely. My mom had Don Katsu (served with a small dish of Japanese style curry sauce). My uncle got the Tempura Udon, of which they served the tempura shrimp on the side in a bed of tempura flakes. This is kind of genius, because you can make the decision on when you want to dip in your tempura instead of them bringing it and you have to down the tempura fast in order to still have it be crunchy... NOT HERE! It stays crunchy since they serve it separately. Love that. We had refillable banchan: kimchi, king oyster mushrooms, and glass noodles- all of which were delicious. We all received bowls of deliciously simple miso soup and we ordered a set of fried dumplings. Everything was great! That is...until the sushi came out. Wow. Presentation: 10/10. Flavor? 10/10. Portion-size: TEN OUT OF TEN, Y'ALL. The sushi rice was fantastic and they didn't use too much like a lot of places do with their nigiri. The toppings were functionally decorative. The sweet shrimp was especially pretty with two different colors of roe on top. The yellowtail didn't need the toppings it had- green onion and fish/squid flakes(?)- in my opinion, but they added a dimension of texture to the initial bite and a hint of flavor to the finish. The fish was perfect in every way: not too thick, no too thin, overlapping the rice by double to allow for perfect soy sauce dips without soaking the rice, and I just CAN NOT EXPLAIN how good each piece was... The sushi rolls were so delicious and every bite had wonderful textures and flavors, but my absolute favorite roll was the one with the smoked tuna on top- WOW! Absolutely stunned. Never - EVER - have I actually tasted the smoke flavor so clearly and completely. I am a HUGE fan of that one and I can't even remember the name of it...it's in the picture on the plate behind the sweet shrimp. The eel nigiri was also a highlight for me- as it's one of my favorite pieces of sushi, I always order several pieces. I was happily surprised to see they were nearly twice the size I get at other restaurants. Hands-down, the best otoro (fatty tuna) I've had in Atlanta. The sushi chef here also believes in giving special service by preparing some extra pieces for the customers as well. I only ordered one set of otoro, but next time....oh my...my bill is gonna hurt next time. Each 2-piece set of otoro is set at $17, so...yeah... It's going to be SO WORTH IT though. I will 10000% be back- soon. I might just get some Otoro, Hamachi, and one of those smoked tuna rolls...man. SO. RIDICULOUSLY. GOOD. Get in there if you haven't been in a while. Trust me!
