If you're looking for great sushi in west midtown with a rooftop, great service and delicious food then this is the place for you I love that it's located in the interlock so you can park in the garage or do valet parking. We choose to dine on the rooftop which was so cute. I loved our waiter, she was so knowledgeable of the menu. She gave us great recommendations, super friendly and all around pleasant .

Came this time for happy hour and still a hit! We sat on the patio and enjoyed our rolls and appetizers. Happy hour deal is a steal for the sushi.

This is my favorite sushi spot in Atlanta. The service is always amazing! Wonderful atmosphere. Not too loud and perfect for dinner with friends or date night. The sushi is AMAZING! I try something different every time and am always so pleased. I had the sake to me baby which was delicious. 10/10! I love coming here when I'm crazing some good sushi.

Feeling like sushi today. I caught them at Happy Hour menu. I haven't been to O-Ku in a very long time. I love this spot. It's elegant but yet a relax chill vibe. The food is amazing. Today I sat at the bar and decided on getting the Sake To Me Baby and the Unagi San (Makimono). My favorite dish was the Unagi San it was just a burst of flavors. Both dishes did not disappoint my appetite today for good sushi. Pervious visits did not disappoint me either. And the service has always been fantastic. Oh! This spring and summer take advantage of the roof top dining.

I came in for happy hour and i will continue to come back! The sushi was amazing, the happy hour menu was robust and didn't feel limited. I sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and helpful with recommendations. The overall vibe of the place was great, nice decors, dimly lit!

O-Ku serves excellent sushi, cocktails, and sake, and has beautiful decor. Their sashimi, nigiri, and specialty sushi rolls are fantastic. They also offer omakase. Please make a reservation so you know you will have a seat. Come for Happy Hour Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 6:30 PM. If you do get these two delectable rolls. The TUNA CRUNCH is spicy tuna, cucumber, crab, crispy leeks, spicy aioli, and eel sauce, which is $12. Also, get the MT.FUJI with crab-topped, tempura shrimp, avocado, crunchy onion finish, and eel sauce, which is $10. I love a rainbow roll, and theirs is one of the best. It costs $17 and includes yellowtail, salmon, tuna, shrimp, avocado, shiso leaf, crunchy crab, and cucumber. We also had crispy rice, which cost $21. I didn't realize the variety of food on this menu. They have a lot more than just sushi, and so much more that we wanted to try. We definitely have to come back.

Came here solo on a Saturday night for the anniversary Osusume. Every item was delicious! I kept being surprised by how each course was so different yet all were craveable. My favorites were the bun and the akami crudo and the bao bun. I wouldn't order the O-Kurr roll again bc it's just got too much going on, but was fun to try it. The dessert is when things went south. The Ube brownie was awful. It's gluten free and was not sweet. Once the condensed milk syrup was gone, I couldn't eat it. Maybe it's better with ice cream the way they serve it on the regular menu. I was really disappointed bc I think this was the first time I've ever not liked something made with Ube. My waitress was super energetic and lovely. The restaurant itself is kinda dark and romantic. It would be nice for a date night for sure.

I have been searching for a sushi spot in ATL and this one is a gem! I visited for happy hour on a Wednesday night and we were one of the first ones in the restaurant. The aesthetics of the restaurant were beautiful, intimate and grown/sexy. Our server Dylan was absolutely phenomenal! He was training a new server and I just know she is going to learn a ton. Dylan provided incredible descriptions of the menu items and drinks. He had me wanting to try one of everything. Haha! We opted for the happy hour menu and had the edamame with truffle salt and Mt Fuji roll. My friend also loved her miso soup. The Mt. Fuji roll was good but a little on the softer side than what I am used to however it was fresh. I had two Raichitinis the flavors was creamy and fruity. It took a moment to come out but it was such a delicate & delicious drink the bartender definitely took his time. Apparently it's their spin on a lychee martini and I thoroughly approve. I appreciate the manager checking in on our table. I am extremely impressed with the establishment and can't wait to return. I am interested in seeing how O-Ku operates on a busy night. I look forward to trying their lobster roll and salmon entree. See you soon O-Ku!!

Amazing quality sushi with so much freshness packed in every bite! We didn't have reservations on a Saturday night, but we're so kind to seat us at the sushi bar to be in all the action! The dark ambiance screams romantic date night. The Marbled Forest (sushi without the seaweed) was a refreshing twist on sushi with dill and basil topped for all the freshness. We love spicy rolls and the Baja California hit the spot with Serrano peppers and sriracha dotted on top. Overall, a beautiful place to enjoy high-quality sushi for the perfect date night!

I've been to this location quite a few times! Every time we go, the staff is super helpful and kind. They have an amazing midday "lunch" set that is worth every penny because you get so much food with it. We're honestly never able to finish the whole thing, but we try our best because it's so delicious! The vibe is pretty laid-back, but also super Luxe.

Always love Oku. I'm visiting from DC and the DC location is also a fave of mine. Similar menu but I appreciate the differences. I love the Follow the Yellow Brick Roll 2.0 it is seriously one of the best rolls I've ever had. It's so fresh and unique with the lemon slice on top. Seriously amazing. The Mt Fuji is also very good as well. The crispy rice was good, it was a little sticky but still pretty tasty. The sugar and spice drink was super tasty and not too spicy which was appreciated.

My son took me for their omakase experience & it was mind blowing!! I was worried about trying to eat 9 courses of whatever is given to me but was truly the most amazing food experience! The flavors in every dish served to us were unique & complimented everything on the pates to even our drinks. The chef & staff were so kind taking time to explain each dish. Just loved it!

Came in for happy hour with a friend a couple weeks ago. The happy hour menu is food only; but they have some great things on there for a great price! We got the shrimp tempura, a roll and the salmon appetizer. The shrimp was soooo good! Great service and a nice atmosphere. They only do valet parking which is $5 - but it's probably better than anything else you'd find in the area. Great spot for a date night or girls night!

Can you make reservations for the rooftop.... If not what's a good time to get there on a Saturday for rooftop seating?

When I made a reservation it was only for inside. I think you can go upstairs to the roof and sit at an available basis table or bar. I did the bar but it was during the week. I suspect varying on weather and day it can get super busy. I'd plan…

    Is Happy Hour still available?

Not currently, but we will be reinstating it soon! We will keep you updated via our social media accounts.

Can you eat at the rooftop or just drinks only?

Hey Sul. The rooftop offers the same food and beverage menus as our dining room, with the exception of our draft beer selection and a frozen cocktail that is only available upstairs. So yes, you can dine on the rooftop!

Are the repairs for the rooftop completed?

Yes! The roof is back up and running, and will be open this week from Tuesday through Sunday.

    Do they have vegetarian rolls?

    Yep

What is on the happy hour menu?

Any of the O-Ku Special rolls.

Do they do anything special here for birthdays?

    No.

Is the black magic roll half off on Wednesday's?

    Nope it's never half off

I wasn't sure how all the flavors would come together, but everything surprisingly worked so well. Next, I ordered the Langoustine Roll with pressed rice. At first, I didn't think I was going to like it, but it ended up being sooo flavorful and incredibly easy to eat. If you have a smaller mouth like me, you don't have to worry about making a mess because the sushi was so soft and practically melted with every bite. Of course, I had to order their Casanova Roll since it's what they're best known for, and it definitely did not disappoint! It was on the sweeter side with plenty of sauce, which was perfect for my palate. Now onto the Miso Steak. I ordered it medium, but some bites toward the end were more well done. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either, so I personally wouldn't recommend it. Overall, I had a great experience here, but I do think the food is overpriced. Also, be prepared to squint a little at the menu because it is very dark inside!

Law of supply and demand. But given the elevation in quality of life this establishment has provided me with across the years, I feel I owe them some good marketing through a review. If there was a sushi coefficient of freshness, quality, quantity, and cost, this place wins everyday. C= (Fr*Q*q*c) Fr: 9 Q: 8 q: 10 c: 10 C(Yokohama)= 7200 Don't get me wrong - the competition is fierce for delicious sushi (Fudo, MF sushi, Nobu, all the Omakase scenarios popping up in town). What this means is the cost (c) is way too high, giving it a low 1-5 in the equation. Also, quantity (q) is low, about 4-6. So, the resulting coefficient is very low overall. From my understanding, the fish here only comes from Japan, so it's good stuff - and they really load up the rolls (a lot of the time), and they have this deal on weekend for special rolls (25% off I think). So you do get the quality, quantity, and decent price (about $12-15 per specialty roll). The regular rolls are good too, and loaded with fish. E.g. spicy salmon/tuna. So, if you're looking to go crazy on some good sushi without restraint and without breaking the bank completely, this is your spot. family owned I believe, very nice and efficient service. What a great deal - my friends and I decided to check it out and we had a great dinner. Servers were attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the Samurai Roll, as well as the Chicken Karaage appetizer. The chicken was sooo good - perfectly, lightly fried with sauce to dip. Tender and flavorful! The Samurai Roll was substantial and I appreciate the generosity of the roll. It was topped with salmon, and usually when rolls are topped with fish, it's usually a pretty thin slice of fish, but these slices of salmon were quite thick in my opinion. The pieces of sushi themselves are also fairly thick - it was a big bite for me to eat each piece in one. I made a reservation in advance and the staff already had my table ready even though I was a little early. The table was already dressed with menus, chopsticks, and some small plates/sauce dishes. That aside, let's talk about why people go to sushi restaurants........ TO HAVE GREAT SUSHI. And for a very expensive spot like this, you 100% expect perfection. It was far far from what we expected. Way overpriced, tiny and quite honestly very poor quality fish for the most part. Also way too saucy for a legit sushi restaurant. And let's talk about the "brush" aspect of the dinner. So apparently some genius came up with the clever idea to call the restaurant "brush" because instead of a small soy dish to dip your fish in, you get a tiny cup and a tiny brush to coat your fish with. Absolutely ridiculous idea. Not only is it a lame way to put a dab of soy on your sushi, it also contaminates every single piece of fish you touch with the last fish you brushed. As well as your table mates. Hard pass for all of us on this place. Sorry to be so harsh. This was a "one and done" experience.
