    Beef Noodles (~$12)
    Aya E.

Ordered: 8pc Steamed Beef Momos (~$12) Beef Noodles (~$12) Aya's take: Affordable, comforting, and satisfying. Om Wok serves traditional Tibetan dishes and not to mention, they were crowned the Winner of Momo Crawl in 2023! I've never had Steamed Beef Momos that were this large in size! The dough was fluffy and soft, the broth instead was so light yet rich, and the beef was well-seasoned and flavorful! They serve 2 sauces with it: the orange is less spicy while the red is spicy. Both were delicious and enhanced the flavors in each bite. I preferred the orange sauce because it was a bit more creamy. We also got the Beef Noodles which were savory, the noodles were nicely coated with all the flavors, and I liked the texture from the cabbage, carrots, and onions. Another very satisfying dish. Both are great for sharing and were just enough food for 2 people. Check them out!

Love their breakfast set. Everything in the set is great except scrambled egg. Eggs are always cold. So, you can substitute with a boiled egg. Service was fast and staffs were nice too.

Momo crawl 2025!!! There were by far the best momos we tried and low and behold they won. Feeling lucky bc we only went to three stands. Next time i fly back from laguardia excited to get back here. The vegetarian potato / cheese / spinach one was Soooooo yum. The spicy sauces are so great but be careful lol

Was craving momos and this place was open the earliest! They were still serving breakfast until 11 but kindly accommodated our request to order momos at 10:45am. We tried the fried chicken momo the steamed beef momo. This was plenty of food for two people! Both were extremely juicy! The beef momo was my favorite, it was so juicy it reminded me of a soup dumpling. The skin was perfectly chewy and not too thick. Very solid choice for momos and the staff are very nice!

I've come here several times (hence the bunch of pics) and every time it's amazing! The only place I'll go to for soup dumplings! I just live the flavor, size of the food, friendly staff, and calm stop in to get delicious food! It's good I don't live anywhere near because I'd frequent this place even more.

Food 9/10 Those momos were so so juicy and BIG. I was shocked. I think this was the first time I've ever had momos, so I was in for a beautiful meal. Their friend momos were also good, but they were dumpling shaped rather than soup dumpling round shaped. Still good, but I preferred the steamed ones. Beware, their spice is truly spicy. We ordered the cold cucumber and also mung bean noodles, and both absolutely destroyed me in their explosive flavor but also deadly spice. I kept on wanting more but my tears were welling up and nose started sniffling. I think the owner / host saw me and it was kind of funny because she kept on refilling my water. Atmosphere 8/10 A very homey local restaurant vibe in Elmhurst. Felt like a neighborhood restaurant, and I love that. Service 8/10 Great service, nothing to complain about!

My friend and I stopped in for lunch and ordered noddles with eggs, chili paneer, rice, and potato cheese spinach momos. We split all the food and had tons of leftovers to take home with us. My favorite was the momos, everything was delicious, but they were out of this world. They also gave you little sauces on the side that were so good and spicy that just added an extra bite to everything. I also had a lemon ginger honey tea that was so delicious and cozy I am still thinking about it. Definitely will be back.

Only came here for the momo, which was fantastic. It's a small place off the main road, with great servers and a friendly atmosphere. Ordered the beef c-momo and they were delicious. Extremely fresh with a perfect amount of spice/heat.

A solid Tibetan restaurant in Jackson heights! I can see why the won the momo walk twice! Food: I loved the spicy chicken momos - honestly the best thing we ordered! The Singaporean noodles with chicken was also delicious and very flavorful - full of veggies! The vegetable noodles were also solid! The paneer chili was well made but the paneer itself lacked flavor! the Himalayan Thalia offered a few different things including a fondue - esque dip, fried dough, and potato, bean soup! I was not a fan and won't order this again. The veggie dumplings with potato, cheese and spinach wasn't my favorite - it was a bit sweet, which I found odd Service: great service! The space is small but packed and our waitress was lovely! Ambience: small but ample seating with outdoor and indoor seating! Nothing special! Price: for the portion sizes - great price

The food was amazing as they are well known for their big juicy momo's as well as Nepal/ Tibetan breakfast,However the rest of the menu is just as good .The overall restaurant is small and only has a few tables but during the weekend it can be packed so weekday is definitely better to go .As for the food spice is king here definitely trust the chili pepper rating on the menu especially if you can't handle spice ! (I've been here maybe 4 times and the menu also has Thai food and a variety of dishes )

If you didn't know, this place has been 2022 and 2023 Momo Crawl Winner, so that says something. Of course when my friends and I arrived, we knew we had to try the momos. But I thought it wouldn't be filling enough, so we decided to order a serving of the dry noodles with beef. The server did recommend the noodle soup, but thought this would be a better option to share. BEEF MOMO I'm so glad that we got to try the beef momos. The size of the momo is bigger than your typical one, so I was impressed on first impression looks. Then we got to trying it out. When I bit into it, the soup flowed out. It is so juicy and packed inside. It is almost like a Tibetan soup dumpling in a way. The beef filling tasted different than what I expected (in a good way). It was super delicious. It definitely lived up to its winner crown. This is a solid, solid choice. My friends and I were all super impressed. I would honestly come back to try their chicken and chives momo knowing that it would be great as well. NOODLES WITH BEEF The noodles were kind of thin & stretchy. The beef strips were thin. It was like your typical beef noodles. There's a variety of vegetables inside including scallions, carrots and cabbage. It's not too filling but too small either. It would be a good side supplement to another dish, so ordering this and momo was perfect for us.

1 tablespoon of hotsauce smh so disappointed

First of all I wouldn't have left this review but the girl at the counter told me leave a review because she didn't want help me out so here it is, I order constantly from this place, everytime I ask for hot sauce they be stingy like 1 table spoon, it's a condiment. Put your price up on the dish if your hot sauce is expensive stop being stingy on the hot sauce. It is ridiculous that I have to leave review for this but it's because the girl on the counter has nasty attitude. Stop being a bum give hot sauce, hot sauce makes the dish. With out it it's bland. They make u buy hot sauce, smh you guys not McDonald's, I had same issue with their restaurant on northern blvd, I left a similar review at the other ok wok on northern few years ago.

    Beef momos
    Alvin Z.

At first a bit worried bc $10 seems a bit pricey for momos, but these were HUGE! The meat filling is really big and really flavorful and was also super juicy on the inside. The skin itself was not bad but some momos had quite a thick skin so some parts were quite doughy. This also came with a delicious spicy sauce that is actually really spicy and gives and extra punch of heat to the dish. Overall really impressed and totally understand why they'd been rated best momos in Jackson Heights! Had to wait 10 minutes for the momos, but at least you know it's made fresh. Loved the calming music and scent of incense in this restaurant as well.

I've done both to go and stay, and I love the cups they serve the drinks in. Their matcha and cold brew are my usual go-tos, but what makes this place so exceptionally special is that it's also a cultural shop, selling and showcasing Tibetan craft goods and culture to the younger generation - something you don't really see much, especially being in the largest Tibetan diaspora in the US. Plenty of good seating, and I especially appreciate the signs on some tables that enforce no laptops or other forms of media to minimize loitering, which you'll see all the time at certain tables.

The space itself is pretty big with plenty of seating. There aren't many outlets though, so I'd recommend charging your laptop beforehand if you're planning to get some work done. The store was on the emptier side probably given the weather outside, with only about a third of their 30 or so seats taken. Seating is first come first serve, no formal waiter service, you order at the counter and they bring the food when it's ready. Staff were helpful in explaining what each item was, the protein options (a choice of chicken or beef for each), and level of spiciness (not too spicy though the accompanying sauces had a kick). We ordered-- - Kothey momo $9.99: selected the beef filling, this was a lightly pan-fried dumpling with a thin dough wrapper and savory minced beef filling. Served with a medium spicy dipping sauce. Good! - Thai soup momo $12.99: came in a curry broth with vegetables, my friend ordered the chicken momos and they came piping hot in the soup. Tasty and warm comfort food for a very cold evening. - Chili momo $11.99: deep fried and served with a tangy sweet and sour chili sauce, peppers and onions, my friend ordered the beef version. The spice level on the chili sauce was pretty mild. Yummy. - Samosa chaat momo $11.99: sprinkled with diced tomato, onion, cilantro doused with green chutney and sitting in a shallow bed of yogurt sauce, these deep fried momo were so flavorful. - Tandoori momo $11.99: I'm not sure if these were baked in a tandoori oven but they were sure seasoned with spices to taste like it , and delicious! Tender and juicy chicken filling. - Sandeko momo $11.99: another deep fried momo (this time I asked for beef) topped with a chunky sauce of soybeans, tomato and onion, filled with minced meat. This was another tasty plate! All the momos we ordered came with 8 pieces, while some of the basic flavors come with a couple more pieces. A single plate is a moderate amount of food for a meal though we ended up ordering six different types to share and try. Each stood out in a different way and I'd heartily recommend all. If there was just one critique it was since it was so cold that night (in the teens Fahrenheit) and no outside wind door that whenever a new customer or delivery pickup driver came in, a rush of freezing cold air also came in. It was quite chilly inside the restaurant for that reason and I had to eat with my jacket on. However that didn't detract from the tasty momos, and I'll certainly be back!

I've walked past this place a few times and was intrigued so I decided to give it a try…read more It has a beautiful, well decorated interior and was kept warm and cozy on a snowy day. They provide complimentary popcorn, which is well seasoned and rich with ghee. I was seated in a chair that was very low to the ground. While outfitted with comfy cushions, I was not sure what the proper was to sit on this chair was and I was too embarrassed to ask. My best guess is that it's meant to be a criss cross applesauce type situation, but I had on wet snow boots and didn't particularly want to do that. This isn't a complaint, but just something to consider for anyone with mobility concerns who might be considering visiting. There are some normal style chairs in the front of the restaurant that I'm sure I would have been switched to had I requested as such. Anyway, onto the food. I ordered the "Lahana Ko Faarzi Bhoj" which arrived on a large round platter with a variety of different dishes. I am very new to this type of food, and most of it was completely unfamiliar to me, which was very exciting. The grain at the center of this platter is "chiura," a rice product which has been pounded flat and dried. It has a light and crunchy texture, and pairs well with the thinner, wet curries it was served with as it really soaks up the liquid and expands in size. I've never had this before and it was very interesting to try. The platter comes with two bowls of warm curry, one with black eyed peas and maybe some potato and the other was darker with meat which I preferred. Both were rich and deep in flavor, but the darker one (pictured on the right) was so savory and well balanced- definitely my favorite part of the meal. They both have some heat to them, the kind that builds at the back of the palette throughout the meal, but none of this food was excessively spicy. The main plate has a ring of various cold dishes around the edge, all of which were unfamiliar to me so I can't necessarily identify them. My favorites were the pieces of well seasoned dark meat chicken and the deep fried egg in the center, but it also included some pickled elements, some ground meat and a small skewer, which I found to be quite tough. I really enjoyed trying new, interesting food in such a beautiful space. The servers were kind and there are many other items on the menu that I'm interested to try. I feel lucky to have this place nearby.

I've happened to come by a few nights when there's live music playing, and the crowd has clearly been there for the performance, but if you want to talk to your tablemates, you might want to come a bit earlier in the evening. I appreciated the creativity and the cuisine-specificity of the cocktails, and the bartenders are super friendly. The food is there as a nice accompaniment to the drinks, but if you're looking for a Himalayan meal experience and no drinks, I'd probably point you elsewhere in the Jackson Heights neighborhood up Broadway. I prefer Faarzi to Kasthamandap or UpTop in Jackson Heights/Elmhurst, but all three can provide similar live music/fun vibes/cocktail experiences.
