This place is popular. Patrons and travelers were coming in consistently for take away and dine in orders. The waitress was very friendly. Service is slow but due to how busy they are. The restaurant is average looking. It has a few sit down tables. I found the food to be okay. They weren't the best beef momos I've had and the soup needed more spices. It was a chicken broth soup with noodles but didn't have strong flavor. Our lemon tea was very good. The spicy sauces on the side are very spicy. I will say that the food did not sit well with us after we ate. Not sure why. Mera's Tip: tea time

First time having Tibetan food, which was amazing and a great experience. It was a bit on the spicy side, but had a soup and fried momo, one with beef and one with lamb. The skin of the momo was thin, but enough to contain the juice of the meat inside. The soup based momo was spicy, but rich in flavor and texture. It is perfect for the winter. Also had a fried dough on the side that had a slight sweetness to it, and is recommended to eat with various sauces. I would definitely come back for more momo in the future!

Disappointing Shabhaley and Poor Service I've ordered from this place before and stuck to their Laphing, which is honestly the only good thing they serve. But I made the mistake of trying something new this time, and I deeply regret it. I ordered the Shabhaley, thinking it might be better than what I had experienced in the past, but I was very wrong. When the Shabhaley arrived, it didn't even look right--overly fried and falling apart. The dough broke as soon as I picked it up, and the taste was completely off. After just one bite, I let the server know that it wasn't good, hoping to get a replacement or at least an alternative dish. Instead, I was told that no substitutions or refunds were possible because I had already touched it. I ended up sending the plate back after just that one bite and was still charged for it. As someone who works in the service industry, I know the importance of ensuring customers have a good experience. This place failed on both food and service. Charging someone for something they didn't eat and not offering any solution is unacceptable. The staff didn't seem to care at all about my experience. If you're looking for Tibetan food, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Or there is other Lhasa Leng feng near Elmhurst hospital. The only thing worth ordering from here is the Laphing, but even that doesn't make up for the poor overall experience.

Chive Veg momo with side of radish salad that comes with the order .

I had a lhaphing with waiwai which i forgot to take a pic but its very delicious with the right amount of hot sauce and sesame blended well togather with wai wai noodle . This is a must try !!! Also their lemon tea is very nostalgic! If you folks are anywhere from boudha , you know that eccentric part of how everyone goes for a sip of tea or lemon tea after circumbulating in kora refreshes your soul and mind. They have exactly that tea here if you know you know !!! The chive momos were also really good , perfectly composed flavour with no much of over of anything. The momos tasted very healthy for me based on no much oil and salt. I loved it !! For anyone trying for a new place to eat tibetan food , this spot hits the light . Very nearby subway , friendly staff and kind owner . Highly recomme

Great momo jhol. I went on a "momo crawl" in the area and this was one of my favorite. The broth tastes more of a Chinese influence, somewhat like hot & sour soup, as opposed to the Indian flavor profile. Will definitely go back

C. Beef Momo

AMAZING!! This place is a hidden gem . Right under the 74th street train station and perfectly situated in Jackson Heights. I had it during the Momo Crawl 2023. My favorite meal is the Chili Momos/C. Momo C. momo beef: chili momos fried with beef inside in a red sauce with chunks of green peppers . I ask for Less Spicy and it's perfect for me. You're missing out if you haven't had it yet! The service it quick and they take Zelle/card.

Tried almost everything! Highly recommended...

Best food we've eaten on our trip. The honey chicken and the gobi Manchurian were amazing. Would come back every week (or more).

If you're tired of Thai spots that lean too heavily on sugar, Kam Rai Thai is a breath of fresh…read moreair. The kitchen here doesn't shy away from traditional flavors--the food is unapologetically spicy and savory, avoiding the "overly sweet" profile that many Thai spots fall into. Here's the breakdown of what we tried: Tom Yum Goong: This was the star of the show. It had a sharp, clean heat and a perfect citrus punch without that syrupy finish you often find elsewhere. Crispy Pork Belly: Exactly what you want it to be. The skin was incredibly crunchy, and the meat remained tender, seasoned perfectly to highlight the savory pork flavor. Fried Fish: Deep-fried to perfection with a light, crispy exterior. The sauce paired chili and fish sauce with fresh mango. Crab Fried Rice: Generous with the crab meat and wonderfully "wok-hei" (charred) and salty. It wasn't bogged down by sweet soy sauce, allowing the delicate crab to shine. The only real sweetness of the night came from the Mango Sticky Rice, which was the perfect, cooling end to a very spicy meal. The mango was ripe and the coconut milk was rich, providing the only sugary reprieve of the evening. Service was so nice. The hostess and sever were so nice and friendly. The severer felt like a Thai uncle, he made jokes, gave us napkins, joked with my child. It felt so familial. If you want authentic, spicy Thai food that prioritizes salt, spice, and acid over sweetness, this is your spot.

Kam Rai Thai has a very cozy and warm atmosphere with fake flowers decor everywhere. Street parking can be hard at times and involve circling around a few times. Food menu can be accessed by QR code and paper menu for drinks. The first time I visited Kam Rai Thai, I shared the papaya salad with my friend and had the Pad woon sen with shrimp. The papaya salad with green papaya, string bean, tomato and roasted peanut with spicy lime juice was refreshing and light. The Pad woon sen has sauteed glass noodle, egg, onion, scallion, cabbage, celery, carrot, tomato and sesame oil. The second time I visited, I had the Pad see ew with beef. The Pad see ew has sauteed wide noodles with Chinese broccoli, black soy sauce, and egg. Both dishes were very flavorful, delicious, delectable, and appetizing. The dishes were very filling and there was a good proportion of noodles and protein. I've had the Rainfall in Loei and Fang Martini Time, both are really good drinks and not overly strong. We shared the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was good. The mango was very fresh and the sticky rice with coconut milk was sweet, but not overly. My friends ordered the Kopi De Trang, Spicy Maesai Plum, Rainfall in Loei, Thai ice tea lychee, pad see ew with chicken, pad kee mao beef (non spicy), and khao soi gai confit. I ordered a pad kee mao beef with a spice level of 2 to go. It is a great option to have a spicy and non spicy option for pad kee mao. Everyone enjoyed their food. Staff are very friendly and the food come out very quickly after ordering. There is a 5% discount if you pay with cash and a 2.95% surcharge for credit cards. Kam Rai Thai serves authentic Thai food and I can't wait to come back. It is a great place for friends to catch up.

Maybe not cozy but you're not really going to linger here. Service is good but a little hectic. Friendly staff but they get a pass as they dish out noodles, apps, drinks and more. You're spoiled for choice here but everything is pretty good so I'll call out the extraordinary items. The fish broths are amazing, sweet in the seafood way with a deep richness of flavor. The black fish slices (poorly translated from Chinese, sorry) were satisfying. Boneless and tender. It's a small cost to upgrade from regular fish (I believe it's grass carp) but it's worth it though unfortunately I can't help much in terms of naming the upgrade in English. Their popcorn chicken is well executed, with light crunchy batter and well-seasoned meat. Their fruit drinks are nice too, including the pomelo grape and the peach. Ask for less sugar if that's your thing. Portions are ridiculous but admittedly we over ordered on purpose. Also, it's a common move to ask for the free noodle refill before getting your leftovers to go though we did not partake in the excess here. The bowls are already never-ending buckets of goodies. We did take our leftover broth though. No shame. In fact I'd be more ashamed if we wasted the soup.

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. Yeah, a rather disappointing visit. Not the worst I've ever had but could be so much better.

I got the wonton soup and pork juicy buns. The soup was different from other wonton soups with the addition of cilantro and some nice balancing flavors for the salt, and the juicy buns were your classic soup dumplings with a very nice rich sauce to dip in. The dandan noodles my friend ordered were maybe my favorite, they were the perfect level of spicy and so flavorful without being overwhelming. I'd go back just for my own plate of those. The service was quite fast, and it's a cute little shop that feels like a small town Chinese restaurant. Very reasonably priced as well. Some of my favorite Chinese food I've found outside of Lower Manhattan !
