Located right at almost the end of Castro Street by the train station is this Turkish gem. Whenever you are in Mountain View and you want to try some real nice middle eastern food with more of a Turkish spin I would make this your stop. Whatever it is that you like they have it. Along with beers for you to savor during your meal or their "Happy Hour", they also have coffee and desserts. WE recently made a stop here for lunch and I had the Falafel wrap and it was great. It was the perfect lunch for that day. It most certainly has its own twist and was a bit different than what I have had before, but I loved it. The staff are great and friendly. I most certainly would come back again to try the wonderful looking bakery and caffe items.

GYRO

Searching for a place to grab a quick meal, my party and I stumbled upon this restaurant. I found the environment very pleasant and the food to be alright. The prices were very fair, but I felt the food was just average overall. My party did not like their items and felt that what they paid for was not met. They have a great selection of alcohol but the advice they gave to my wife on how to pour her beer backfired as she ended up drinking 40% foam. I don't know if I'd ever come here again, but do you recommend the place as it's a decent place for parties to enjoy time together. 3/5.

Tiramisu

I think the vibes were really cool, but something threw me off. There was an obvious greek theme they were going with but i felt like it was also pretty german due to the food and beer. I like the desserts. My favorite one has to be the napoleon because the taste was creamy and sweet but not enough for me to get tired of the flavor. The tiramisu tasted average but a little more on the sweeter side. My friends got beers and they liked the hibiscus one and a cider that i forgot the name of. The pistachio cake and carrot cake tasted pretty similar but not worth mentioning. My friends got the wurst platter and the sausage in the right was my favorite with the snap and string flavor. It was meaty without the gaminess. THE APPLE STRUDEL TASTED REALLY GOOD OMG I LIKED THE FLAVOR IT WAS MISSING ICE CREAM BUT OTHERWISE I LIKED IT

Gyro bowl

Really delicious but the bowl was mainly rice and the gyro was really salty for me. The hummus and veggies were awesome. The patio seating is so nice! The line to order can get long on a Friday at 6:30 pm but the food comes out pretty fast. They have wine and beer too.

Beers of the choices

It was an okay place to be dine, they have varieties of the beers, and foods and drink tastes okay. It was a relaxing Saturday, people show up after 11:30am. some People came dine here have extensive knowledges about the type of the beers they would like to orders. My friends said the foods were good. I tried their beer couple years ago.

Chicken pita with fries (6/10)
Johnathan B.

This place is a decent place to gather with a big group. They have both QR code and counter ordering, which makes it easy to have separate checks and manage people showing up at different times. Also, their patio (on the side facing the Caltrain station) has plenty of tables with bench seating. Since the patio tables are pretty close together, it's easy to spread a group across a few of them, though it makes getting out a little hard for folks in the middle of the bench. But, the food is nothing special. The quantities are okay for the price, but the flavors aren't that pronounced. The beers looked good, though, so this place may be better for grabbing a drink than grabbing a meal.

Nice place to sit alone or be with company. The staff were friendly and served my food quickly, I hope to come back and try more dishes!

Tiramisu and Iced Latte

PERFECT MV BRUNCH SPOT! this is my third time visiting this place for brunch, absolutely love it! Shakshuka is my go-to here but this time I tried Menemen and it was equally delish. Iced Latte with Hazelnut is not to be missed. It usually gets busy on Saturdays but we came here on a Sunday and no wait. Ambiance is as Californian as it gets, outdoor seating is my favorite on a good sunny day. Highly recommended!

Falafel Salad
Heather I.

The falafel salad was HUGE! I couldn't believe how full I was after eating it. We sat outside since it was a nice, sunny day. They have plenty of outside seating! Service was wonderful. They were kind and helped us a lot.

ICED TEA

I would definitely come back here! We had a mishap on the food and was brought the wrong order. After letting them know immediately of this mistake they took it back and made me my right order. We do regret ordering the Blueberry Pancakes though. The blueberry flavor was lacking and we were expecting more blueberries in it. The rest of the food did make up for it though! My partner loved her Chicken Wrap! She said it made up for the pancakes! And the fries were so delicious! I couldn't stop eating off of her plate. I also love how they give you ketchup, ranch, and hummus with the order. With the Nutella Texas French Toast I do wish that the pieces were thicker and there were more strawberries. But we did not leave one thing left on that plate!!!!!! It was so delicious and if I go back I will be getting that again! The restaurant has a tavern/pub vibe but we sat outside.

CHICKEN SANDWICH
Jigar A.

Olympus really delivered a fantastic experience! We ordered a mix of dishes including the hummus & pita, chicken sandwich, schnitzel plate, and tres leches--and every bite was spot on. The schnitzel plate was crispy and flavorful, and the tres leches dessert was hands down my favorite--light, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending. The outdoor bar had a relaxed, inviting vibe, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate a special request for caramelized onions with the schnitzel, which honestly took the dish to the next level. We also tried two different beers, both refreshing and well-balanced, and getting them served in giant boot-shaped glasses was a fun, memorable touch. Great food, great service, and great beer--definitely a spot worth visiting again.

Atmosphere was good but right next to Caltrain so you'll hear the loud blaring of the train every few minutes. The drinks were okay, nothing super memorable. The wine was bottled and the beer was just ok. Overall an alright place to grab a drink if you're on Castro but there's better on the street for sure.

Such friendly staff and amazing food! The cocktails were perfect--especially refreshing for a warm summer day. I had one of the bowls and it was super fresh, flavorful, and very filling. Definitely coming back!

The service was also top-notch: efficient and speedy. We tried the tasting menu, and I'm so glad we did. Every single dish we tried was delicious, and we were able to try a whole range of dishes. The amount of food we got made the price worth it. By the time we were done with the cold and hot appetizers, we were already stuffed. They then brought out the entrees, which were so delicious we kept eating. And the desserts were the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Special highlights were the manti with garlic yogurt, artichoke with poached shrimp, lamb chops with dill-potato wedges, and the baklava. I highly recommend the tasting menu if you want to try a little bit of everything - the variety in the meal was really enjoyable. I will definitely be visiting again!

The server did not like my $50 tip, stating 20% minimum gratuity, which came to be $90. After that insult and spending $590, the only thing we enjoyed was the pide. We will not go to any Meyhouse never again.

As someone who likes Turkish food, this felt like a strong contender. Food: We started with the lahmacun which is made up of a thin Turkish flatbread topped with ground beef, tomato, onion, pepper, and garlic. It was beautifully thin and crispy, with just the right amount of topping. Honestly, add a small salad and you've got the kind of lunch that makes you feel satisfied. This lahmacun is one of the better versions I've had which made it extra tragic to learn it's a lunch-only situation. Why gatekeep happiness to daytime hours? For my entree, I ordered the Alinazik which was grilled tenderloin skewers over eggplant labneh. The beef was tender and the labneh was creamy, savory and a tad smoky. I saw that they offer a $44.95 prix fixe menu, which sounds great in theory, except for the small catch that everyone at the table has to commit. A bit of a "we ride together, we prix fixe together" situation which may not work depending on your dining companion(s) dietary restrictions. Atmosphere: The space is bright, airy, and stylish. The high ceilings resulted in lots of natural light, and a large bar that quietly suggests, "you could have a cocktail or two." One slightly odd note: The bathroom lighting is very dim. Like... "is this ambiance or did someone forget a switch?" kind of dim. Not a dealbreaker, just a curious contrast to the otherwise well-lit space. Overall: A solid pick for Turkish food in Palo Alto located off Emerson and a successful group lunch choice (I will be taking full credit). I'd happily come back to explore more of the menu. I'm already eyeing the Pirzola (bone-in lamb chops) or the Filet of Levrek (branzino) and maybe lobby for all-day lahmacun.

Surprisingly flavorful, and yes, you will need both hands. The restaurant thoughtfully provides plastic gloves, which you'll want. Gosh Naan (Appetizer) -- Solid, but the most forgettable dish of the meal. A fine warm-up act. Kawap Noodles (Main) -- The star of the savory lineup. Hand-pulled, chewy, and deeply flavorful. The heat isn't a punch -- it's a slow, creeping numbness on the tongue. In the best way. Uyghur Milk Tea -- Yelp reviews warned us it would be "salty." Ours wasn't, but it was silky and smooth. My partner wanted it stronger; I thought it was perfect alongside the bold noodles -- a quiet counterbalance to all that spice. Lamb Skewer Kabob -- Our unanimous favorite. Tender, juicy, and gone within minutes. Do not skip this. If you're Uyghur cuisine-curious, this is a great place to start. Come hungry, come open-minded -- and order the kabob.
