Everything here was an absolute banger!! The short rib and truffle raviolis were absolutely to die for. I can't even explain how incredible the flavor was. I'm still thinking about it days later. The yellowtail also had such a complex and fresh blend of flavors that we ordered two rounds of it for the table. Our only complaint is that we did have a reservation and we were seated about 30 mins late because the party before us was still there (after being there for more than 3 hours). I'm not sure why management declined to politely ask them to finish, as most other establishments would. We were there for a bachelorette party so it did throw off our itinerary a bit. This was my first visit here. My friend and I planned a Tampa day and she saw this place on social media so we added it to our itinerary. We were running a bit late so we called the restaurant to let them know and they were very understanding. When we arrived, it was raining, so I am happy they had complimentary valet. We were seated shortly after we walked in. We got the sparkling water, I ordered the special cocktail which was a fun version of a mojito and my friend got a glass of wine. We ordered the roasted oysters and our waiter recommended we get the garlic bread as well. I am so glad we did. It was the best garlic bread I have ever had. I enjoyed the oysters as well. For my entree, I got the scallops and my friend got the table side chicken parm. The scallops were huge! They were served over lemon herb risotto with crispy prosciutto. We started with beverages, the Italian lemonade is delicious with you feeling like you are sitting amoungst a lemon tree farm. For appetizers we got: Garlic bread- I have never had garlic bread like this before! Delicious!!! We had the Burrata, OMG the Pesto sauce that comes with it- Never in my life have I had a creamier, smoother, fresher Pesto. Absolutely incredible! For main dishes, my husband got the restaurant special chicken parmagiana, served table side with the fresh mozerella, parmasean, fontina spicy vodka sauce. He still hasn't stopped raving about it. I would recommend getting a reservation bc it was pretty busy when we went. But even though it was pretty our bartender and server were super super nice and fast! The restaurant is lovely and there was a great crowd when I went this weekend for a graduation dinner. The service was what made the meal. We visited Olivia and found seats at the bar. Shane greeted us promptly with a big smile. Selecting what to get was difficult. Everything sounded phenomenal...and what we got, was. Shane gladly answered questions and made suggestions. My husband started with the meatballs and polenta. I stole more than a bite ot two. It was delicious! I started with the Goat Cheese Sformato. It was savory and oh so satisfying. He ordered the Tableside Chicken Parmesan. The sauce alone was decadent. Yes, I stole a bite or two of that, too. I ordered the Lemon Fettuccine. Generous chunks of lobster made this a winning choice. The pasta was prepared to perfection. I ordered a side of Brussels Sprouts. They were delicious. The portions are generous, so we each took leftovers home. We wanted to save room for dessert. He ordered Tiramisu (of course, I stole a bite!) and I ordered the Olive Oil Cake. We were not disappointed. Again, generous portions meant we took some home. This is where the attention to detail is next level. Each take-home container had the contents written in gold lettering on the outside, with a note from the chef saying he hoped we enjoyed our leftovers as much as when they served us, on the inside. The dining space is pretty tight in the sense that the seating area felt very cramped. The food was good, we ordered two drinks, two apps, and two entrees. Pictures were taken, conversations were made, but I'm not sure if this space is right for more close conversations. It seemed as if to get a conversation across, raised voices were needed. We have now been twice in two weeks. Once for a birthday dinner and once for brunch. This place has worked its way into the rotation. I give it 5+ for sure. Great service from the moment you drop your car off till the moment you're leaving. The manager is everywhere from talking to the valet, making sure things are flowing out there, cleaning tables, bringing out food when the waitress or waiter are at another table, so the food gets there right out of the kitchen, and making his rounds to the tables to make sure everybody is happy and content. The wait staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable. The manager remembered us on our second visit. And the food is incredible. Very cool chic vibe inside. My favorite thing, they have their own dough room!! Reminds me of being in Europe, where all the dough is made in house whether it's for the bread, for the pasta, for the pizza. Outstanding! Speaking of outstanding, you definitely want to get a pizza there, even if you do it as an appetizer for the group! And I cannot say enough about the sausage and pesto pizza as a brunch item with eggs! Every dish was a complete winner! Another perfect Ponte place! I worry, however, that too many Ponte places will bring everything down....they are opening another OLIVIA! This specific location has been a series of mediocre (at best) attempts at trendy and not so trendy spots and each has failed. I have held off on coming here because of that. She was smiley, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable - we asked a LOT of questions - and she was happy to help....and she knew all the answers! We learned later in the evening that that was her first night on her own. WHAT!?! She will be incredible - she already was. So, onto the wine, the food, the everything.... I had a glass (or 2) of Bonanza cabernet. It was smooth and lovely. I ordered the yellowtail appetizer, presentation was beautiful, taste was top notch! I ordered the lemon fettuccine and it had lobster claw in it! The sauce was great and not too heavy. Others around the table had the lasagna, which looked like a cinnamon bun (she described it that way too) filled with all the meat and cheese and goodies.... Also, the Osso Bucco.. and then a simple rigatoni and a side of Brussel sprouts. WOW those were fantastic! Not your run of the mill Brussel sprouts! For dessert, we got the suggested apple butter tart, WOW it was yumm-O! WHAT a fun place, it packs up and fast! Make a reservation, for sure. Also, parking is terrible! The lot is really small! And they don't need valet - in fact - it takes up a ton of parking spots! The wait to leave your car and to retrieve your car is wasteful. It's not needed!! And an unneeded/unwanted extra expense.
