Patrick has been extremely helpful and above all, VERY patient when it came time to pick out new frames for myself. I've stopped in on 3 - 4 separate occasions to try on multiple frames, and he was able to help me narrow down my selection with each visit. I mentioned Patrick's patience because as a college student with a limited budget, I needed to be sure I picked out frames that I will love for years to come. Patrick was able to give me advice on what frames best fit my face, and was able to give me his personal opinion on each one. Patrick took the time to measure my eyes and face, and he even set aside my favorite frames and my measurements in a bag for my convenience next time I stopped in! I would very much recommend Patrick to anyone looking for new glasses from Oliver Peoples. My husband and I have been big fans of Oliver People's glasses both here in Cbicago and Florida. I stopped in this week and purchased new sunglasses for a out of town wedding. After getting home and reflecting on my choice ,and a thumbs down from my husband I decided to return the next morning. To my surprise the store has a no credit policy ! My Options were to find a new pair , or store credit .I was shocked !! Frankly in today's ever changing retail environment I found the stores policy very harsh and certainty NOT customer centric . Oh yes, and as left the store very upset the sales person said. " Make sure you keep your due bill, we don't keep any records ." NOT HAPPY ! read more

Oh yay I get to be first. so I go in but I have this real pet peeve that I hate to be 'pushed' when looking for new specs. So this lady asks is there anything she can help me with and I say NO I want to just look thank you. So like 25 seconds later she is in my face saying what did I think about a pair she thought would be interesting to me. I have always loved Oliver People but finally I understand everyone else's reviews. The store return policy sucks. The online return policy is great. I recently purchased a pair 2 days ago that is now $100 off. If I had purchased online I could receive a price adjustment however the store will not honor. Do yourself a favor and just buy your glasses online so you can receive the better corporate customer service if an issue arises. At this price point, I would have expected impeccable customer service. 5 pairs later I will no longer be a customer. read more

I stopped in Oliver Peoples at the end of the day yesterday to see if they had a specific frame that I had spotted in another store. The woman staff member I worked with (sorry - blanking on name!) was fantastic! She knew exactly which frame I was looking for and after I tried those on, she showed me some other frames that looked great on my small face. I really appreciated her style of customer service - not pushy at all but friendly, available, and supremely knowledgeable. The guy staff member introduced himself and was super nice. I have two pairs of Oliver Peoples sunglasses and have had them for over five years now. Superior products! Thanks to the continued service of the personal at the Gold Coast Oliver Peoples in Chicago my sunglass look as new as the day I purchased them. Over the years they have gratuitously provided me with a new cases if mine is worn; they adjust my glasses when they to be realigned; and clean my glasses. Shout out to Patrick, what a class act. I just brought my glasses in again to get realigned before a vacation I was leaving for in the morning, and he showed me a hairline crack in one of my lenses. Without even asking, he took it upon himself to replace the lenses in addition to cleaning them and realigning them. If and when I get a new pair of glasses, I will be as loyal to the brand as they have been loyal to me. Thank you. read more

We are extremely disatisfied with the return policy and attitude at the store in Chgo. Being loyal customers of the product we were quite surprised of there return policy. My wife bought sun glasses on a Monday afternoon and returned Tuesday morning to find that no refunds but only a due bill. REALLY ? Quite upset and we will find other options. read more

I hadn't felt particularly moved to write a yelp review before, but I couldn't get over the awesome treatment I had received at the Oliver Peoples shop on Rush Street. Thank you just wasn't enough. I shop here because the design and quality of the OP frames just really excel. I come back because of the outstanding customer service. I most recently dealt with Leah, the manager. She recognized an issue I was having with my OP glasses, and without hesitation, secured a resolution which was out of the ballpark. Michelle, another wonderful asset at this location, delivered the great news and got me on my way, quickly and professionally, and always with a sincere smile. I probably wouldn't have come to this freestanding Oliver Peoples had I not been on a mission to have my beloved aviators repaired. For the past couple of months, I'd been popping one lens back into the frames but I couldn't ignore it when both lenses disengaged from the frame, especially considering that the titanium frame was billed as being practically indestructible. I came here last Friday to drop off my glasses and received a call that they were ready on Sunday. I was impressed by the speed of service and the graciousness of the staff even considering that these were glasses I'd bought last spring. I was not charged for the repair and was thoroughly impressed by the ease of dealing with all of the customer service representatives here. Even though it is firmly January and the number of bright days can be counted on one hand, I am eager to bust out my newly repaired sunnies, if only to avert snow blindness. read more

The girls in the store have been very helpful and it was made more than clear that they would want me to leave a happy customer. Happy I was/am. I live in small town western Iowa. Went to Chicago last weekend to take my daughter to DePaul University. I had three hours to waste so decided to walk downtown & shop. I ended up disoriented & the walk took a lot longer than I expected. When I arrived downtown the first thing I noticed was this very clean and well organized Oliver Peoples store. I went inside and was immediately greeted by salesperson Patrick. I told him I was looking for a unique pair of sunglasses for my son but I had to hurry because I was concerned I wouldn't get back to my daughter on time.I was lost in Chiago! Patrick had a very calming personality. He knew their products well & immediately led me to the perfect pair of sunglasses. As I was paying for my purchase, Patrick and another salesperson Leah asked me if I would be OK getting back to DePaul. I truly felt they were both more concerned about my well being than the purchase I was making. They gave me directions to the subway and told me what to do when I got there.(I have never been on a subway before.) They wrote all the directions down for me and assured me I would be back in time to get my daughter. Huge kudos to Patrick and Leah.
