When I asked for pieces from there the person behind the counter acted like it was a big ordeal or I didn't know what I was stalking about. I told her I was hoping they were more moist and maybe have a little more honey. Thats how Baklava should be. We bought some to go and after tasting it left what we bought on the table. The meat in my Shawarma somewhat dry. My daughter got the chicken plate. Chicken was great but only four small pieces. The plate was loaded with rice and little chicken. I stopped by the Olive & Lime cafe, a Mediterranean restaurant serving up a large menu of familiar favorites. They offer appetizers, entrees, sandwiches and desserts, all at relatively reasonable prices. Olive & Lime offers indoor and outdoor seating as well. I had the chicken kafta entree, which came with fresh pita bread, lentil soup and salad. The Arabic lentil soup was delicious and paired perfectly with the bread. The salad came with a light vinaigrette and was fresh. My chicken and rice were both excellent, with a generous portion of meat. The chicken kabab was juicy and tender and I'd compare Olive & Lime favorably with nearby Lavash. Overall, this is a great spot! read more

One of my favorite places in Columbus! The food is incredible and affordable with many amazing options that never disappoint, and it's a very casual and relaxed vibe there. You can get takeout easily, but I also recommend sitting in there! The servers are very kind, and you order at the front so you can choose a place to sit that suits you, there's often families there giving it a really wholesome vibe. I really enjoyed this place! The location is nice in a little strip mall with parking in the back, but it's visible from the street. When you get in you order at the front and if you want to eat in they give you a number and will bring food to your table. I got hummus and a falafel wrap. The hummus was served with their fresh pita which was warm- and it is more bread-like in texture than other places that have very flat pita. The falafel wrap was also very good, though I wish I would have gotten more pickled radish in it (I love picked radish)! The wraps do not come with any side but they can add something for you. The inside is very pretty, clean, comfortable. They have to go containers out for when you are done eating. It is not full table service, but I prefer that. I would definitely recommend for eat in or I could see their takeout holding up on the drive home! read more

If you like hummus, you'll love the new spicy hummus. The spicy hummus is really tasty and very flavorful but it won't burn your mouth off. It's actually rather mild. The regular hummus is smooth and also very flavorful. The chicken kebab sandwich is a wonderful sandwich served with tender, juicy chicken, a side of pickles and their heavenly garlic whip. The location used to be a Panera and while I wouldn't say the interior has been transformed, it was cozy and clean inside. The food is the real standout here. For the price paid it was a good amount of food. Now the food. The ruce was tender not over cooked, the meat both chicken and beef had a nice amount of spices, not dry. I recommend using the sauces that come, both were very good; one was more creamy like a whip sauce both had garlic and very tasty. I like the idea of the pita bread being made on site. This is a fairly new restaurant to this space. My personal experience is based upon the service and the space. This Christmas my family and I decided to spend the holiday apart with the hope that we'd be able to spend next Christmas together. My parents don't do a lot of cooking for themselves. One person dislikes spices and the other one is okay with them. One is trying to eat a Mediterranean diet for health reasons and the other will eat just about anything. One is adventurous with food and one is not. I ordered online the Lentil Soup, Chicken Kebab, and Beef Kabab for Christmas Eve when I got off work thinking my parents could mix and match the entrees. Each entree includes salad, rice, and pita bread. I arrived at the appointed time. I was promptly greeted and asked to wait while they checked on my order. There was a case full of lovely desserts at the counter and I wanted to try it all! The front area was very neat and clean. I know there were some indoor diners but I didn't go nosing around to see what changes had been made since the previous tenant. The food is set aside for food delivery and carryout on the counter near the soup station. The food ticket was double-checked to make sure everything was accounted for. They use a checkmark as each item is placed in the bag. The lentil soup was missing the checkmark so a container of soup was made. When he went to put it in the bag, he found another soup container. The other person left off the checkmark since it was the last item to go in. He explained that I was getting a second soup free of charge. My parents ate the food that night instead of Christmas day. They said it was really good and there was enough food for them to each have at least two meals. At least once a week it seems my parents tell me they've stopped in and gotten more food. I'm looking forward to trying it for myself. read more

First time to visit this place I called "Gem". We got invited by friends to check this place out. We were welcome by a fellow Filipina that owns this restaurant. My friends ordered the red snapper ahead of time. The food was good. We had the chicken and beef kebabs and both were tasty. My wife said the lentil soup was good. Rice was also good, basically all of the food :-) Somewhat surprisingly for me, I think the kebab could have done with an extra few pieces of vegetables, it was mostly meat. Although, when there are more vegetables I feel like I say there should be more meat, so perhaps there is no pleasing me. We did have an issue with our order - we were told because they were really busy and the staff are still in training, since they just opened (at the time of review) that's entirely believable. I ordered a family meal to go. Food was cold especially the meat. I live 15 minutes away. all meat was overcooked not medium like we asked. ( that included every single piece of meat in the order) They forgot to give me the meat and after I left the restaurant with a to go order, they had me return 10 minutes later to pick up the meat. Theyalso forgot to include the grilled vegetables that I ordered. With so many fine Mediterranean restaurants in town, I will not go back. I read other reviews so if they like overcooked food and bad customer experience, then continue to patronize the restaurant. I will not go back. I did call the restaurant the next day, The manager was nice and offered to give me another order but I didn't need the food for the next day. We had people over on Friday and overall, it was a bad experience for me in terms of food quality and service by the restaurant workers. They also had the audacity to ask for a tip online when I ordered I usually tip well but am glad I did not tip in this instance. read more

We had great lunch at this lovely little place! We shared a vegetarian plate that had cauliflower, hummus, tabbouleh, and falafel. It was served with a basket of homemade pita bread. Heavenly! I really enjoyed my first meal at Olive & Lime, and definitely want to return to try more things on their menu. This is a fast-casual join - order at the counter, take a number, they bring your food to your table. And there's plenty of seating inside. They have a nice outdoor patio area that's great for nice weather. The menu is pretty full. A little bit of a lot, so make sure you go hungry. I chose their Hummus & Lamb brunch dish. Their hummus was very good. I'd put it in my top favs along with Gyro City and King Gyro's. Slight hints of lemon but not overtly so, definitely didn't make me pucker, so that's a huge plus. The lamb is served in tiny bite-size pieces; this was nice not having to naw the protein down to manageable swallow-sizes, however, if the pieces were a tad bigger, I'm sure my tastebuds would have appreciated it that much more. O&L's pita bread is fantastic! Thick, soft and fluffy. Most places tend to serve thinner pita, so this was a delightful surprise. Plus, it makes dipping even more special! Next time, I definitely want to get their moussaka dish, because instead of what I was assuming would be a vegetable esque lasagna, OL's is in the form of a hearty, super-tasty vegetable stew-like consistency. I tasted a spoonful of my friends, and wow! The pita that comes with that dish, as well, is THE BEST mechanism to slurp up all the broth goodness. I'd highly recommend both dishes. I got a half-pint container of their rice pudding to go, and it was a pleasant surprise, in that it tasted very "natural"; not very sweet, just the extremely subtle milk-sweet. The good doused of cinnamon and ground pistachios on top rounded and melded the flavors. Kudos far a wonderful first meal!
