It is my own damn fault for not checking the credit card receipt. We were overcharged $4 for the lamb chops from the menu price and worse $4 each for the two sides. Total $12 ripoff plus tax and tip. Before we even finished eating we had decided that better food could be obtained elsewhere - Rafina, Trella, even Kyma. Mediocre at best. Overdosing on oregano does not make for better quality. I went there for the first time last night for dinner. They did a great job with the decor, however they are clearly working out some kinks and service was below par. The server was nice and professional, however he seemed to have too many tables and did not check on us as often as he should have. There was also an issue with the pita bread. For whatever reason our table and several others were waiting a ridiculous amount of time just to receive pita bread. We had to ask for it repeatedly, and other customers were very upset about the delay in receiving the one item they should have plenty of! We ordered the tzatziki with pita, octopus, and lamb gyro and it was all very good. I will definitely give them another try in hopes they have worked out the kinks. read more

We ordered take out from here tonight. We drove up to the place and it was packed, which is crazy for a Wednesday. Unfortunately they where so packed that we had to wait about 10-15 extra min for our order to be ready, but they where sweet enough to give us a free order of fries with our food!. We got a cheese pie which was ok, but wasn't my favorite. I got a gyro which was pretty delicious, (and generous) and my bf got a pita wrap with steak which he also says was very good! Mine could've used better ingredient distribution but they where kinda in a rush so I'll give them that. The ingredients themselves where all very tasty. Oh, and the free order of fries where DELICIOUS, super crispy! A little too much pepper for my taste but it was not a big deal since the pepper came off easily ( my bf said they where perfect). My mom and I ate here at the recommendation of her friend. I am vegan so we needed a restaurant that had vegan options. We shared the veggie platter and ordered hummus for an appetizer. There was so much food, we have enough for another meal. The platter had a variety of veggies, all very good. only reason for a 4 was that they could have used less oil. The hummus was smooth and made with fava beans. It was delightful. All the staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating. We ate on the patio which was delightful. We came here one night last week and the restaurant was packed, but we were able to get a seat close to the back patio. The restaurant was beautiful decorated, and reminded me of something you would see in Manhattan. They have a chalkboard in the rear of the restaurant detailing their specials, as well as their specials on the back of the menu. We were immediately greeted with water, and our server came over for drink orders shortly after. They have a number of Greek wines and beers available, although we didn't try those this time. We placed our order shortly after and got an appetizer of the spinach pie and an assortment of kabobs. The spinach pie was excellent! It was perfectly crispy and flakey, and the spinach was amazing. The kabobs were to die for, especially the pork! We ordered the pork, beef, salmon, chicken and veggie kabobs. They seem fairly small, but fill you up quickly. The veggie kabob paired well with each kabob you mixed it with. We didn't get dessert, but the table next to us did, and they all looked to die for! I will definitely be returning! read more

Went here Saturday night at 7. Pretty early for a Saturday night and they had already run out of what I would call standard stuff. No diet soda, can you imagine running out and it's only 7 pm? Then we ordered a bottle of white wine. They only carry three brands and the one we ordered they ran out of. We proceeded to order a few apps. Salads were ok but the fava hummus was tasteless. I believe they left out olive oil, lemon, garlic etc and only ground up the beans themselves. Dinner was also awful. We ordered the mixed grill which was over cooked . The two sides we ordered were veggies and lemon potatoes. Can you believe they ran out of POTATOES!! Then our next dish arrived , the seafood plate. What a beautiful place to have lunch or dinner! Kosta is a Great welcoming host & server. The decor was simple, well thought out to create a nice ambiance! Silly, but the fries were well dome and probably the best I have ever had! I was happy to see the gyro meat was fresh and NOT the processed frozen type beef lamb ready made but I was disappointed my pita with gyro was full of lettuce and fries rather than that delicious meat I couldn't wait to eat.....even the Greek festivals PILE it in...What does it take to have a generous amount and have RETURNING customers? Well everyone said how good this restaurant was. Come here last night. I ordered the grilled shrimp they were dry could not get them out of my shell really bad. Lemon potatoes were soaked with olive oil and lemon some were well done and some were blah. My grandsons steak was well well done and dry. Place was crowded and price were moderately high which is ok for good that is worth paying for. The food is very good and the menu is varied. We enjoy dining outdoors and we can even hear the live music from the restaurant next door which is very pleasant. The downside is the service is exceedingly slow. The waiters who are very pleasant try their best. However, one person for outside is impossible so if you go expect to wait at least 45 minutes for your meal to arrive. This is a joke of a restaurant. We came in as a party of two at 4:30 on a sunday afternoon. The restaurant was completely empty. Not even one full table. The host said that they had a reservation coming in about an hour and a half to two hours and wanted to know if we could eat faster than an hour and half. I started laughing, but he was actually serious. I could possibly understand if the restaurant was full, but not a soul in the house. I was treated very poorly by one of the owners after they didn't understand their own menu online! I have now been to Oliv Pit twice. This is such an authentic Greek restaurant with a modern European vibe. The food is excellent. Super fresh salads and grilled meats or fish all nicely arranged on plates to be pleasing for the eye. It is said that the appetite starts in the eyes. We've been to this place a number of times and the food has always been excellent, but the service very slow. We went back Saturday night and the service was great but the food had gone downhill considerably. We asked for an appetizer of pita bread and hummus. We got 1 very flat 6'' pita cut into six pieces and a small container of hummus. ONE Pita for about $6. I had chicken souvlaki which was not spiced as it usually was and was very dry, while my DH got lamb souvlaki which was chewy and also not spiced well. We both ordered the rice which was not hot and very dry. Very, very disappointing. You might also note they they do not print a check (ticket) for you to even look at. The manager comes over with a device not much bigger than a phone and tells you what you owe. Yo have to ask to look and he hardly even gives you time to look at prices nor determine a tip based on food , not food + tax. Doubt we will go back. read more

Tried to order things and make some changes. Unable to do so because the computer they were using did not allow, and the girl had no common sense to just manually tell the chef. Example. We wanted grilled chicken on our Greek salad. Can not do because the computer only allows skewer chicken on Greek salad. I can only get grilled chicken on the Caesar salad per the computer. The hostess says the only way she knows how to fix this is that I must order an entire grilled chicken meal and a Greek salad. Sounds to me that they would rather have a computer system running their business then have happy customers. I figured I give them a shot only because our usual Greek restaurant that is right up the street with a better menu and a full bar was hosting a holiday party and was closed to the public. The Oliv Pit is now under new management for over a month as of this writing; Friday, January 11, 2019. This is a wonderful restaurant! We were served by Brittany who was both delightful and highly professional. We were a party of four and ordered the following dishes: The smokey grilled eggplant, spinach pie, and Fried Calamari. All were delicious. All appetizers were big enough to share and were perfectly prepared. Brittany brought out plenty of pita with olive oil and a separate dish of spices. Our main dishes were also exquisite. Three of us ordered the Grilled Prawns. I can't imagine this dish being better prepared by anyone. I ordered the fries on the side which were delicately seasoned and fresh, and our friends ordered the lemon potatoes. Our other friend ordered the "impossible plate" and loved it. We are generally a rather persnickety group and won't return to a substandard establishment for either food or lousy service. We will definitely be returning here. This place, again under new management, is a winner! BTW, there is underground parking around the back as the front parking lot was quite full on the Friday we ate here. When making reservations, inquire about this alternative parking so your adventure can start off stress-free! read more

The first thing you encounter when coming here for a meal is a friendly greeting and a very warm welcome from any staff that happens to be near the door. Seating is comfortable and very accommodating with plenty of room between tables. The menu is authentic Greek Mediterranean as expected but made with what's clearly fresh and premium ingredients. Presentation and service is not lacking in any area. The fried feta is delightful and gyro with french fried potatoes (in the pita) was a nice surprise! We. Any enough about the decor - not the typical blue/white Greek flair. They've clearly taken this to the next level. We can't say enough about Oliv Pit and will certainly return. We all ordered a different Starter to taste as much as possible - Fried Feta (amazing! who knew honey on top would taste so good!!), Zuchini Croquettes (so fresh!), Fried Calamari with their sauce (which we now call Jesus sauce! - really good!), Tzatziki with pita (THEE BEST I've ever had, and found out they actually make it there!) Tonight our family had dinner at this cozy and friendly restaurant. Our experience there surpassed our expectations. We sat outside and felt like we were actually in Greece, the waiter Bobby was excellent, he was extremely busy, but still attended our big party. Thank you!
