Cute coffee nook nestled in the hills! We stumbled upon this coffee shop on a drive through the canyons and am so glad we did! Family owned Old Place houses a wine bar, restaurant and this coffee shop, Old Truck! Everything is pleasant to look at and be around. Plus, there are peacocks everywhere! What! Lol Coffee here was delicious and fairly priced. They have cute merch for purchase as well! If you come here, park your car and stay a while! Super fun place :)

After my initial visit on a Friday, I was back to try out their coffee truck, a.k.a. 'Old Truck' on Sunday. Flanking my reviews like I did my visits here, I figured returning the very next day on Saturday would be too much, so I decided to sleep on it and double up my visits on the following day. Not many things will get me up anymore, especially on a Sunday except for the fact that this truck currently operates on Saturday and Sunday with limited hours of 9a-2p. Arriving right before noon via the Las Virgenes exit to Mulholland Hwy, it was a lot more crowded than it was when I came on Friday. I parked off of Mulholland since I figured the designated spots in front and to the side of Old Place were taken (I was right). Most of the people at this time were there for the food, and there were only a couple people in front of me for the truck. Only one party is allowed in at a time in the small space which is understandable. Up front, there is merchandise in addition to a small condiment area with stirrers, sugar packets, etc. Drinks are made with whole milk by default while oat and almond milk are an additional charge. There is only one person working the register and acting as barista, and today it was Lauren! She was super-sweet and able to answer any questions I had about the place. While she made the beverage, I was able to poke around the limited retail which included a pamphlet on the history of Cornell. For some reason, one of their 'Washed Down The Stream' bandannas caught my eye so I ended up spending more than what I expected but it was worth it since I wanted to contribute to their business. As for the vanilla latte ($5 for the smaller size 12oz), I savored this for longer than I normally do with coffee which was pleasing. This stayed at a perfect temperature where I actually ended up making a day of staying in town last-minute. Before leaving the area, I stopped back here a few hours later to take dinner home which I reviewed under that property. I've had my fill of the Old Places for a while now, but if you are in the area and the rustic/western/history/food appeals to you, make sure you consult their website for their hours of all the businesses on site before you venture out (everything is closed Monday through Wednesday). Regardless if it's actually in Agoura Hills or Cornell, I've found an oasis settled deep within the hills. I was debating on 4 stars initially but decided to bump it up. Even though I may not 'belong' here, I still felt welcomed 'being' here.

Really good coffee. Wonderful espresso drinks. A coffee haiku For you.

Due to recent fires (2019) check for road closers. For most, the easiest and fastest (Kanan/Troutdale)route to get to Old Truck is closed (until bridge is rebuilt). Take Cornell Road which turns into Mulholland. Old Truck is nestled behind Old Place. It's a unique spot to grab a great cup of coffee, esspresso and/or pastry. You can see and feel how a lot of love poured on this property. Beautiful, peaceful & relaxing spot! Happy we live so close so we can return again and again.

Fun little stop for some tasty beverages. The service was very friendly. The drinks were made with care and the prices were fair. Location is fantastic and it's kind of cool it's all set in a truck overlooking the valley. Would certainly make this a recurring stop when passing through.

Not from the area but found on yelp. Thought my wife would love the vibe. I had no idea what the surrounding area was. A great hidden . Coffee was on point, barista was very nice and the vibe overall at this location was super laid back and relaxing. Awesome experience, would go back again! Oh and my drink was a ice americano with vanilla and a splash of milk. . Only recommendation, let's get this coffee shop some stickers to hand out! Haha

The inside is perfect, pure joy.

The food, the service, the coffee and the location is amazing. Sunday morning is the best time and day to see the car show.

Very fun little coffee shop. Small menu, but as to be expected of such a small operation. Really high quality coffee. Great service.

It's a small, charming café with a cozy atmosphere, featuring old-school car collectibles displayed on a shelf that add a unique touch. They also offer outdoor seating where you can enjoy your desserts surrounded by lush greenery, natural foliage, and a peaceful little waterfall pond. The service was great as well, they were friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. suggested I definitely I ended up picking up a chocolate and hazelnut cake with an incredibly soft, spongy interior that was perfectly balanced and rich without being overwhelming. I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The rum babas were a standout: bite-sized, soaked in Jamaican rum, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with a raspberry. So flavorful and unique--each bite was indulgent without being too heavy. And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze. It was so rich and decadent that I had to slow myself down just to fully enjoy every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and worth the drive. I'd absolutely come back again.

We were greeted right away, and we let one of the people working there know we wanted to take a look around as it was our first time stopping in, which was okay. The shop itself was empty. We took a look at the ice cream selection, the full cakes, and then the pastries. Everything looked really good. We decided on a chocolate trilogia pastry and a red velvet pastry to go. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item. The service was great, but as a red velvet lover, the flavor was not as expected. I would potentially try again but would sample some other treats.

Otherwise from the outside one wouldn't have told there's a cafe inside as the giant sign was only featuring the shop's name and not the cafe. It was such gorgeous green scenery that gave me the Alice in Wonderland tea party vibe; regardless of the seat I picked, either indoor or outdoor patio at the back. I honestly could spend hours sitting there enjoying my read as it felt like I was just sitting amidst a garden or backyard surrounded by peaceful natural ambiance sipping my drink. Selling that distinctive vibe, as expected the drinks came with pretty steep price tags. I got their Cloud Matcha, their version of Matcha Latte with cream top that I customized to get their Salted Maple cream (typically served with different drink). It wasn't like my top matcha list, but decent enough and prolly elevated by the setting. More than the drink, I was prolly more hooked by the flavored cream top which was less common and even available in non-dairy option!

They have done a really good job with the patio and I could see that getting really busy, it wasn't the day we were there as it was a colder day. I ordered the avocado toast that came with a couple of poached eggs and the side I got was a cup of barley soup, my wife ordered the french toast with a side of bacon . The quality of the food was excellent in both cases, tasted good although I felt my food was on the colder side for sure when we finally got it and it was very plain; food took a while considering they weren't that busy. The service was good but not excellent, our waiter came back to check on us once when I thought maybe I caught his eye . I think there's definitely some room for improvement but it won't hold me from coming back... I will definitely give it another try; footnote- a lot of their ingredients are organic and of what I understand they bake all of their bread and pastry items in house. definitely worth a try. Oh, my caffe latte was superb!
