This is my favorite Old Navy store. The two in Concord and the one in Alameda never have my size because they are so popular. This one has less foot traffic. Every summer I swing by to buy a stack of men's graphic tees for $10 and some shorts in the women's section. The shorts are comparable to Gap and Banana Republic but only a fraction of the price. I honestly forget that there's an Old Navy at Bayfair. I went on a Monday night so parking was no issue and I got front parking. I went to do a return and the cashier was very quick and nice. They had a lot of items in their clearance area so i decided to check it out since the store was empty. They have about 5 fittings rooms which are really spacious. There was a pair of pants that had the clearance sticker fall off and the staff meme bed was kind enough to match the price to another similar pair. The customer service I received from the 2nd employee was exceptional. I got 9 pairs of pants for $125, talk about a steal! I would definitely return to this location on a weekday. read more

Eek...I didn't intend to spend that much time there. I couldn't find anything in the clearance section because items were tangled and disorganized. The dressing rooms were a mess and I picked the one with the least amount of items in it. I was in line for 10-15 min with three cashiers and about 20 people in line. One employee was dealing with a customers return without a receipt (this still wasn't resolved when I finished). There was merchandise thrown everywhere (in the check out area, behind the counter, in the clearance section and I could go on). The woman who helped me at the register seemed tired and overworked yet she was polite. This experience at this particular Old Navy made me not want to return to this store. I'll stick to the Alameda location if I want to shop there again. I ended up getting a pair of jeans for about $17. Two stars for a good deal and the one employee that helped me. read more

I don't normally come to this location but I had a few online returns and I was close by. During my visit, I encountered 3 different salespeople and every one of them was very nice and helpful. I was there on a Tuesday night around 7 pm and the store only had a handful of shoppers. No line to do my return and the person helping me was efficient so I was done super fast. What a trip, this Old Navy is the same exact layout at the San Mateo O.N. The only difference is, they don't have as much out on display? Not as many employees running around fixing up the store displays. My guess is, because they don't have a constant long line of customers. Stopped by this store to quickly buy a sweater before we drove into the city on a cold Thursday morning. The first thing I noticed was that they were undergoing a store survey (when corporate walks around looking for opportunities for improvement. Therefore everyone was on their best behavior. The store was well organized, nothing was on the floor and i could see every available employee dusting or tidying up. Another plus that I saw was the customer service of one particular employee. She was helping a customer who was shopping for a new outfit. She went out of her way to make sure he was satisfied with every item of clothing he was trying on. She helped him out with every concern he had, it was nice that she took the time to help him out. I understand that my visit may have been different from many others because of the presence of corporate members, but I enjoyed that they were able to remain calm and friendly during a stressful time. read more

Can't go wrong here! Yes, it's not the neatest store, nor do they have things out and organized all the time. But the location is great, right smack in the middle of other shopping and eating places, close to Ulta and Target - it's my one stop shop. I get all my workout clothes here, the quality of the leggings are amazing! My only quarrel is that this particular store must be frequently visited by other big girls (such as myself) because the XL+ sizes are almost always out of stock that and the lines can be long, every time I've come they have the max 2 people on register. This was my first time at Bayfair Mall in like 16 years. It was obvious this place had recently been decorated and the look was nice and youthful. ALL of the salesperson were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the clothing and promotions going on. I was looking for my 1st pair of skinny/straight leg jeans and did not want to break the bank. I found as awesome pair of jeans for $19.99 and my ass/legs looked HOT! I come here every once in awhile. I use to love the store when it was in the Marina Square years ago. Now I mainly order from Old Navy online instead of visiting the stores but they were out of stock on a few items so I thought I would take a trip to the store. On my last visit they had their spring/summer items out. I saw a few cute pieces but I was interested in new workout clothes. Something about a new cute piece of workout gear makes me look forward to running 7 miles before sunrise. Hey whatever works, right? They had a huge selections of very cute and affordable pieces pants, shirts, sports bras, tanks and tees. I picked up more than I needed since the prices were so low. Tees and sports bras were $10.00 each and 2 packs of 3-pair socks for $10.00. There was a large area devoted just to sale/clearence items. All sizes and most of it was to get rid of their winter attire. I picked up a jean skirt for half the regular price, score! I did see lots of clothing misplaced, on the floor and barely hanging on the hangers correctly. It makes it a little difficult trying to shop when you are stepping over clothes or can't find what you are looking for. After finding my new threads I made my way to the checkout and wow....where did these 20 people come from? Yes the line was long but went faster than anticipated. I popped into this store due to my friend wanting to get something. I could not believe my great luck! I found 2 dresses that were returned to the store from online orders, I only paid 2 dollars for the dresses!! I love them. This store has really great deals when you are looking for them. Normally this store items are priced more than I am willing to pay. But the sales are great. I had a young child with me purchasing his own items and the sales clerk was very patient in helping him to learn how to make purchases. I stood a couple feet away so he could make the purchases himself. The store was a bit messy near the cash registers, due to all the sales and possibly not enough workers to put the items back. Not judging the quality of clothes obviously. The store is clean and always well-maintained. Normally, racks are hectic and disorganized but this place manages to keep everything looking not chaotic. On Black Friday it was freaking nuts but lines moved quickly and very peacefully which I didn't expect. It was my first time shopping on Black Friday and I thought people would be hostile and rude. My neighborhood Old Navy is always busy and always messy but dependable when you are in a time crunch and something basic like a last-last-minute Father's Day gift. Their graphic tees for guys usually include retro movie stills and comic book heroes so those are always a good choice. I always pick up something for my daughter in the clearance; this time, it was a Cute, comfy, and super affordable tee paired with their standard leggings. When I saw the line, I worried because it was quite long. However, the two cashiers moved quickly so I only waited about 10 minutes. Clothing just don't have the quality from a few years ago. *sigh* =( So I shop at Old Navy sporadically, this last trip was for some Cal gear for my kid.
