So when I needed wood floors for our newly-created attic office, I dreaded the thought of trying to find the right wood floors. I also sought out small business owners, despite knowing I'd pay a bit more (quality). I am proud to have supported this small local business. The team over at RWS were not only courteous and helpful with my options, they educated me and helped me to identify the best options for my space. I am grateful they were willing to take on the project, given my tiny space. The floors are gorgeous and keep in line with the house's original floors. Everything is taking longer nowadays, but I was patient. They did their best to get me the floors in a reasonable time. We plan to keep working on this house for a while so I have these guys in my recommended list of resources. They are terrific and will definitely do business with them again. Don't think twice.

One of these oak shelves for example- can be used as a floating shelf. If it no longer fits your needs, you can cut into smaller shelves, or legs on a chair. You can stain or paint one color- then if three years later- turquoise is no longer your favorite color, remove the paint with a sander or this orange scented paint remover- sand and stain oak again. I have antique furniture I have changed colors three times in 20 years. Well made pieces - not IKEA garbage. IKEA can't be moved bc once you unscrew most of the cork/ particle board- it losing its threading. It's basically more trash- made with toxic. Plus it's not even that cheap anymore! Buy real wood- not cut down from trees recently which we need to produce oxygen- but reclaimed.

He installed a sanded plywood overlay to help ensure my laminate flooring would be solid, level, and squeak-free. Steve arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the entire job in just one day. I'm very happy with the results and will definitely be calling this company again when it's time to replace the flooring throughout the rest of my house. Highly recommend!

I cannot begin to describe how AMAZING Steve and Beatriz were when it came to my flooring project …read more We needed a flooring installation done in our high rise condominium with an HOA. Our HOA required very stringent paperwork, insurance, etc from the contractor. After going through the nightmare of several other contractors -- one who promised they met the requirements but ended up not doing so, one who just decided midway through that they didn't want the job anymore, and one who did not send in any requested paperwork days before the HOA deadline, we made a call to Alvarez Flooring who LITERALLY SAVED THE DAY. When I explain the project to Steve, he had the paperwork sent within the day insurance was available, the contract signed, and invoice sent - this was all within 48 hours of our first conversation on the phone . He and Beatriz maintained incredible communication throughout the entire process. He was available to install the flooring the moment that we were allowed to, and he sent photo updates as the flooring was being installed. One example of his incredible integrity is that I had purchased a specific underlayment to put under the flooring, but for some reason the manufacture wants you to install it upside down from the usual configuration. When I noticed this and notified Steve, he verified and owned up to the issue and redid the underlayment completely, making sure that the job is done right. Our HOA required plastic covering of the entire hallway and elevator. -- Steve and Beatriz followed this rule, and made sure that we would not be liable from the HOA for making the common area dirty. We have worked with many contractors in the past for various remodel jobs, including multiple flooring jobs. I have never met anybody who is as communicative , honest, punctual, responsible, and just genuinely kind as Steve and Beatriz . They have won a lifelong fan. And if anybody I know ever needs flooring redone, I am referring them to Alvarez Flooring.

That also included demolition and minor repairs. Due to my work schedule, she was really flexible with my installation dates. I decided to make it easier for the installers and moved everything out of the house and into storage so that they can work efficiently without obstacles. The two installers arrived on time and began the demolition and minor repairs. Velia also suggested various options for the repairs needed based on her experience and expertise. Once the demolition and repairs were made, the installers began installing the luxury vinyl planks at such a mind-boggling pace. By lunch time, they were determined to finish the project in one day. They called for reinforcements and two more installers arrived. With four installers, they completed the entire project by late afternoon. I was thoroughly impressed by their efficiency, professionalism and expertise. Having an 80+ year old house, not every room has a level floor any longer. After a few days, I noticed some of the planks lifting and/or not settling correctly. I called Velia and immediately she contacted her installers. We scheduled a return visit for the installers for an inspection and necessary repair. They arrived and took care of the issues. We love our new floors! It's like a new house for us! We can't thank Velia and her team enough for the amazing work and dedication to satisfaction of their customers. I definitely recommend Jimenez Carpet and Flooring for your next project. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work they do. Thank you, Velia and team!

Beautiful and inexpensive quartz, granite, travertine, and porcelain, oh my!…read more We went to Enrique on the advice of our contractor when we were working on a complete remodel of our 1960s home 4 years ago. We purchased: - tile for our entryway, 3 baths, kitchen and laundry room, - glass tile backsplash for 3 baths and kitchen, and - two bathroom vanities. Now that we're extending our kitchen, we'll need more quartz and backsplash. We wouldn't have called anyone else. When we first visited Dave's Tile, we went with our contractor, and we were soooo overwhelmed at first. It's like a remodelaholic dream! But the staff was knowledgeable and available to present some beautiful options in just about any price and color range. I was delighted to know that they had much of the material in-stock. And the material that had to be ordered was available the same week. Because they're used to dealing with contractors, you can place an order by phone, pay by credit card, and have your contractor pick it up for you when it's ready. This is great if you're actually at work, you know... to pay for all of the beautiful tile, and you don't have time to drive over to place the order. Haha! Forget your "favorite handyman store". Great customer service, selection, and price makes Dave's a must-visit when you're in need of tile and/or backsplash.

Just look at the attached photos. No Chris, this is not a completed floor job. The pictures attached say it all. I just attached the texts to Chris so you can see he ghosted me after he discovered I learned from the workers what happened and why they left without fixing or completing the installation. The people he had install the floor called me and threatened to sue me until I showed them proof of payment to Chris. Yes, the first job Chris did was good. But the worker at that time also complained he was not paid the second half of his payment but since the job was done properly I foolishly decided it was probably just a misunderstanding between Chris and his worker. The fact it happened a second time made me realize Chris scammed these poor labor workers to do his jobs for customers. He pays them a small amount upfront and then promises to pay them later claiming the client has not paid. In reality the client paid in FULL and he cheats his workers. The most recent time I used Chris, his workers were angry so they did not do the work correctly nor did they finish the job. Just look at the photos and text messages. I am only posting this to try to save others from Chris's scam. It is really cruel to not pay workers who are desperate to feed their families. If you want to take a chance on Chris I suggest you make sure the money he promises to pay his workers goes directly to them to ensure they are compensated. Do not pay Chris and expect him to pay his workers. Also he lies about knowing the workers who did the recent job. They all said they were found on facebook and never worked with Chris before. I have no reason to post a bad review on a person who does not deserve it. I would never do that because I know it will hurt a person's business and income. But there are cruel and greedy people out there and Chris is one of them. He comes across very nice but then steals. I pray Chris you change and find it in your heart to not cheat people. I lost $2000 and had to tear everything up and hire a licensed and professional company to fix what you did.
