Went to HD Supply to pick up an order, and when we came out we saw there was a mound of gravel that was poured into our trailer on top of our lumber. My bf went back inside and found the store manager Gabriel to tell him what happened, and when he came outside he said "Oh that's interesting" no apologies, nothing. Gabriel had the AUDACITY to hand my bf a shovel to start clearing it out himself with the help of one other employee. When my bf went back inside to complain about the situation, Gabriel actually laughed, he laughed as he let out a BS apology. He clearly didn't care, but found it hilarious?? My bf had to sweep out the trailer to clear it from any remaining gravel, and he wasted precious time we didn't have. I get that people make mistakes, but Gabriel could have tried to pretend that he was apologetic on behalf of his employees, and he shouldn't have made my bf clear out the trailer at all. This was their mistake and they handled it with the least amount of respect as humanly possible. read more

I've come here whenever something around the house needs a quick fixing since they are on my way home from work and they always have what I need. But every time I've come in while it's raining it's always leaking. Today the cabinet section pretty much got quarantined. I think it's very unprofessional. I see employees doing their best to clean it up and keep it contained but it shouldn't be leaking in the first place. The manager should really get that fixed, I'm sure it ruins the product and just looks bad to have puddles and buckets through out the store. I've come here for years and it always seems to leak more than the last time. read more

WARNING!!! Came here to get a dryer hose clamp, couldn't have been more than $2. The very same day my card was compromised, a charge from home depot for $247. It's all downhill from there, charges from build a bear workshop to an inmate phone charge and finally my card being declined for insufficient funds. Just don't bother looking for square tubular steel. You'll have to go to Lowes or Action Metals for that. My DIY surfboard rack will have to wait. Unlike the Home Depots, OSH & Lowes stores, this home supply warehouse is targeted more for the commercial/big project builders so don't expect that comfy one-on-one assistance from the clerks. I changed my rating from 1 to 5 stars...here's why!! I Ordered and paid for base and case for my contractor to pick up, they came the next day and were told they don't have enough to fill the order. I was told I would have to drive back to Long Beach to get a refund, I was then told that the Santa Ana location has some and I would have to drive there to place the order . Drove to Santa Ana and ordered and paid for it there, and the same thing happened the next day, my contractor drove there to pick it up and they also didn't have the order complete...boooo! . Colossal waste of time....i decided to make the general manager Miguel (Long Beach location) aware of my experience. He said "obviously this isn't experience we want for our customers", he was able to fix the whole situation, deliver then remaining long base Moulding free of charge and gave me a discount for all of the confusion and running around., I changed my rating because he cared enough to make my experience as rectified as possible. Huge selection of cabinets, wood, remodeling items. This place will be a better deal than Home Depot or Lowes depending on whether or not they have what you are looking for. They sell a limited amount of tools but they seem to be exactly what you would need for home improvement. I am now a big fan! Prices and inventory on doors inpressive! As of yesterday I would of gave them 4-5 stars Did my first return today, Rude, raised her voice to me twice, once when I rolled my cart in, then again when she wanted to to sign receipt while I had my card in machine ( I was waiting for the machine to sign, my bad it was a paper receipt she wanted me to sign ! Same trip bought another door and a few other items on checkout ( another girl. ) first thing she did not ask me if I was a member ? I told her I was a Vet (10%off) she told me I needed to prove I was a vet ! Showed her my license which clearly say In a vet, I used it here at least 10 other times at this location? She would not except, had to ask for a manager to finally check out, Sad it's like they want to go under ! read more

I really like this warehouse for materials and special items for home improvement projects and for tools that you'll need. I've only been to this location and the one in Gardena when other home improvement stores did not have exactly what I needed and I've always found what I needed here and at a reasonable price. I've also been impressed by the helpful staff who helped me over the phone before going in and in-store when I'm trying to locate something. Now that I think about it, I may save some time by avoiding the other stores first and just shop here. I have a few possible new projects on my list this year so will see you guys again soon. read more

Was recommended this place by my cousin, so I figured I'd give it a try when I needed a new sliding glass door. It's like Home Depot without the garden department or 'closet organization' section. They've got great selections of basically building materials, doors, windows, lock sets, sinks, vanities. Great for a remodel project. The lumber yard looked cool, you can drive your truck straight thru it. Ended up getting the door at Home Depot, because for the same price, I could get a door with better energy ratings, but I'm totally coming here next time I have a construction project. read more

Do not go or buy from this establishment. We went and bought 4 doors totaling well over $800 and customer service was non-existent. The purchase was made on December 8, 2018 at approximately 11am should the HD Supply owners actually care to look up the video. We are 3 women (ages 37, 41 and 61) and when we asked for assistance with pulling these doors from where they were placed onto the carts, the young girl who worked the register said "No one can help you, you have to do it yourself." We frustratedly muscled the 4 extremely heavy doors (two wooden and two metal security) onto the carts that really do not hold doors well. We spent almost an hour finding doors that did not have dings or dents and out of respect we put the doors we did not want back in the right spots. In retrospect, we should have just left a mess since obviously the workers are too busy organizing than to help customers anyway. We went to pay for the doors and the same young girl who told us no one could help unfortunately had to ring us up. I offered to assist her in scanning an item's barcode that was too high for her (she was short, hispanic, thin and held a bad attitude -- in case managers actually read this. Doubt it since I see no response on any other of the other Yelpers). The young girl ignored me and instead made her job more difficult and asked for a taller female associate to "tip the door"... because apparently the nearly 6 foot associate couldn't have just scanned it for her. While they tipped the door I noticed that there was moister on the bottom of the wrapped security door. I asked if we could open to check if it was rusted and the girl asked with a balking "yeah okay check it". After I checked it I started wheeling it away thinking that my partner's mother had already completed the payment since they were in the mist of it while I checked the door, but instead the young girl said in a rude tone, "Hold on, she hasn't paid!" I stopped rolling the cart and waited patiently. After the long ordeal at the cash register was complete, my parter rolled one cart and I rolled the other. I had 3 doors on mine and so my partner's mom was helping me. As we passed the threshold of the warehouse door, the doors slid off the cart and hit my partner's mother and nearly missed my head (I grabbed it and yelled). Suddenly men (who I thought were Good Samaritans) came and helped me put them back on the cart. After a few moments I noticed they were wearing HD Supply vests. My thought was... "Where the hell did they come from since the whole time we had been in the store there was no one to help us." They assisted us all the way to the rental pick up truck, and one of the security doors hit my partner on both of her shins. She now has severe bruising and pain. If my partner hadn't rented a truck for this project, I would have told her to have the guts unload the truck and return all the doors. I have never been in an establishment where they were willing to risk their customers being injured instead of offering assistance. Even while at the market, they offer you help if you have just a case of water costing less than $10... you would think over $800 and probably a weight of 10+ times more than a case of water (for each door) that this company would be more than happy to assist. Perhaps it was a social experiment for them to see how 3 women could do this task (I'm sure the manager was watching on camera or at least someone should have been)... perhaps it was just purely bad attitude and laziness... or perhaps it's just a horrible company with an equally moronic mission statement and way of doing business... whatever it may be, I will never enter that store again or any of the ones in the chain. Home Depot is closer to my house anyway... and they love helping me. read more

I just want to take some time to say how much I like this store. Prices are less expensive than other home supply stores. The drive thru lumber yard is cool and easier to load directly onto your truck. Rudy from the lumber yard was an amazing help. Without hesitation he hand loaded heavy roof shingle packs. He didn't make a face or ask me to wait he just smiled and began to load. I shop there constantly and HD can use more coworkers like Rudy!!! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. I asked about what cart should be used for four doors and where I could locate the carts, being my first time there. I received a rude, angry reply that carts were outside and that I had to choose and load the doors myself, that no one was going to help. I hadn't even ask for help but she just want it to make it clear that wasn't part of their jobs. Uh, okay. Well after an hour of moving and lifting doors and setting them in the cart she had so "nicely" suggested, we begin to roll it out to the car, only to have the doors slip and fall, hiting me right on the shins, leaving a bruise and painful to the touch. Love this place, first time visiting it and was very impressed. Staff is exceptional and very helpful. Initially spoke with Jamie West who assisted me with over the telephone in looking for a shower door, she went the extra mile to email me the model number of the one I wanted in the event when I arrived she was not there it would be easy for me to get assistance from one of the other employees. When I arrived I had Johanna assist me, she was extremely helpful and very nice. She not only got me the shower door I needed but also assisted me with buying a ceiling fan that I needed. She personally walked me over to the section where they were at and addressed all my questions I asked. She was very knowledgeable and professional. I felt the prices were very good and product variety excellent. I definitely would not hesitate to come back as I was very impressed. Johanna thank you for going the extra mile in helping me in the store and making my experience exceptional, HD Supply is very fortunate to have you as an employee and I hope they recognize that and know that this is very key to repeat business, you certainly won me over!! This place is very strange when it comes to the male/female dynamic. Either their female employees are sexist against themselves and don't even want to try to learn anything about the business, or the company doesn't train well. I've been there a few times now, and if I ask a female employee for help, it never fails that they call a male to help instead. The cash register workers are only females as well. As a female myself, I was very disappointed. One time, I went to Home Depot afterwards after not finding what I needed at this location, and was helped by a female employee who was very knowledgable about her department. Besides this issue, the materials are very dirty and unkept and they don't have a big selection of anything- especially paint. read more
