If you want Garrison wood floors, you can buy it direct from Old Master Products. Save yourself $1-1.5/sq foot then buying it through a showroom. We actually used Old Master Products to purchase our casings, floor base moldings, wood for the stairs and AR 2000. Great prices and service. read more

Very disappointed with the French Connection by The Garrison Collection floors we installed in our home. Within a couple of weeks of installation, they began to crack and "check." The parent company, Old Master Products, blames this issue on damp mopping the floors to clean up dry wall dust by our contractor. The real issue is due to dust and dirt sticking to the finish and the finish not creating a waterproof barrier, thus absorbing moisture. These floors do not have an easily maintainable finish as promoted by the distributor Emerson Hardwood Floors and as advertised by the Garrison Collection. Please be aware that while these beautiful floors might look great in a designer showroom they are unsuitable for their intended purpose and should never be installed in a family home. read more

45 minutes to pick up 5 pieces of T-mould with no one else in the store. Entire time the guy spent on the phone trying to verify we were who we said we were. All over a $192.50 order. I gave him $200 cash and he tried to keep the change! This guys quick on the draw when it comes to his "policies" but slow on the uptake when it comes to remembering change is due on the order? Received a call from Direct Buy, the place where we purchased the Old Master flooring. The owner of Direct Buy Anaheim is supposedly going to look into the matter. He should stop selling Old Masters flooring if they will not stand by their warranty. Old Masters even sent a guy to look at the floor and he saw how bad it looked. A couple of days after that Old Masters sent two other people to my residence, opened up the flooring boxes and took the bad product to cover their butts. How ethical. Going to be interesting to see what Direct Buy does but I highly, highly would not recommend getting product from Old Master Products. read more

I'm a contractor that has been using old master/ garrison flooring for 8 years. We had just installed 700 sqft of 1400 sqft European oak on a Friday, by Monday there were gaps and entire floor had cupping. Called old master and they had John (their floor inspector come out to inspect our floor. He tried to come up with as much excuse as possible as to why floor was cupping before he actually did inspecting. First thing out of his mouth was that we didn't buy enough glue (really). He did his test and said " there's only 2000 sqft left in stock in Vernon and that we should wait to get new shipment". The next day he emailed us that he had them deliver a box form Vernon to their Van Nuys warehouse, And he and the owner verified it was good (are you kidding me). John had us open 3 unopened boxes at our job site and every box had defected cupping. So if you buy from their non climate controlled warehouse with big open doors and have them deliver it 30 minutes away to agoura/oak park CA your floor may cup and your stuck with $10,000 of flooring. They need to stand behind their product. The owner of this company doesn't care about it customers but more about money. How much $$$ did you save buy putting an inferior substrate? Also send an ethical inspector (John) that doesn't work for you. Please do respond back Jim Hilaski and Shaul Dina (owners of Garrison). I'm sure you have an excuse. read more
