I had an excellent shopping experience with Phil Chiem! He was so knowledgeable, gracious and fun to work with. I ended up getting what I came in for and more - I came in to find a single leather couch/reclining unit and ended up purchasing two beautiful leather couches for my living room spaces. All of their products are first rate, beautiful and an excellent value compared to other high end showrooms. Since my original purchases, I am looking to make additional couch purchases for my son's family household from Phil. Phil did a stellar job in helping me find the right pieces in the right colors and sizes to meet my lifestyle needs for my home. His suggestions and these furniture pieces take my home environment to a new level! The delivery team was incredibly competent and professional. They had vast product knowledge in assembling the pieces and showing me how to operate the reclining pieces. They were impeccably clean and treated me as a valued customer. I would recommend this location and of course Phil. Phil was awesome, no run around, straight to the point and the prices were a good value. He followed up after the delivery to check for my satisfaction. Phil's customer service is second to none! I highly recommend this LA Furniture Store location!

I like this place the best because it's huge, clean and organized with price tags, versus the other little nearby vendor hole in the walls, whereas you can barely squeeze through walking among disorganized stacks of boxes & floral displays. Plus they seemed more approachable to me than the other places. Prices are still cheaper than the others, since I've gone there off & on for over 15 yrs now. I walk to it since I work nearby, which I don't advise unless your street savvy & familiar w/the area. Otherwise I strongly suggest driving & parking in our around it, but get there early as they open, if it's the weekend or near the holidays. I cannot begin to describe how AMAZING Steve and Beatriz were when it came to my flooring project …read more We needed a flooring installation done in our high rise condominium with an HOA. Our HOA required very stringent paperwork, insurance, etc from the contractor. After going through the nightmare of several other contractors -- one who promised they met the requirements but ended up not doing so, one who just decided midway through that they didn't want the job anymore, and one who did not send in any requested paperwork days before the HOA deadline, we made a call to Alvarez Flooring who LITERALLY SAVED THE DAY. When I explain the project to Steve, he had the paperwork sent within the day insurance was available, the contract signed, and invoice sent - this was all within 48 hours of our first conversation on the phone . He and Beatriz maintained incredible communication throughout the entire process. He was available to install the flooring the moment that we were allowed to, and he sent photo updates as the flooring was being installed. One example of his incredible integrity is that I had purchased a specific underlayment to put under the flooring, but for some reason the manufacture wants you to install it upside down from the usual configuration. When I noticed this and notified Steve, he verified and owned up to the issue and redid the underlayment completely, making sure that the job is done right. Our HOA required plastic covering of the entire hallway and elevator. -- Steve and Beatriz followed this rule, and made sure that we would not be liable from the HOA for making the common area dirty. We have worked with many contractors in the past for various remodel jobs, including multiple flooring jobs. I have never met anybody who is as communicative , honest, punctual, responsible, and just genuinely kind as Steve and Beatriz . They have won a lifelong fan. And if anybody I know ever needs flooring redone, I am referring them to Alvarez Flooring.
