She answers via phone or text which is helpful to have both options. She gets you all set up with Doug the field technician. He is punctual and such a sweet guy. We have used them for the past 3 years on various things from automatic shades to door windows to restroom windows. We remodeled in three phases and after each phase we needed a set of blinds. They got us on the schedule right away for measurements and once product was in they installed right away. Top quality custom blinds and shades that really enhance the space. After finally getting "new construction" windows installed, we decided to go with larger 4 1/2" shutters. We were so nervous because not many people get that size, but we decided to go for it and boy do we love them! Everyone that comes over says our home has a "beachy vibe" with the large shutters. They look so nice with our painless windows! We only had one issue with the 2018 shutters in the bathroom rusting. ISD said to order the waterproof replacement would run us $650 for a small window but that seems a bit too much. ISD brought a new rustless magnet and made it look a lot better. Overall we are very happy with the way the new large shutters turned out, and happy with how the older 3 1/2" held up in the bedroom.

Initially we had a consultation at the empty house to discuss the ideas my wife and I had for the each room, show her our favorite colors, what we planned on using each room, and immediately on the spot she came up with great suggestions already! We got a more elaborate design document with the proposed changes that she made, and everything was extremely helpful, from choosing decoration to the furniture quality and colors that would go well. All the process was very smooth and both Sanaz and her whole team were extremely responsive all the time, taking care of our requests with a lot of thought. It was much more expensive than expected but I was willing to splurge for myself. Then came the waiting and waiting for the product. BTW if I have to pay $50 for shipping, why not send it to my HOUSE instead of making me drive to the shop (45 min from my home)? Turns out Karen didn't order two actual rolls as I requested, because wallpaper makers use imaginary units of "single rolls" (a 1/2 roll) and "double rolls" (a full roll), so I only received one roll. Next I had to return that roll and be charged a "restock fee" so they could re-order two rolls (aka 4 single rolls SMH) from the same dye lot. More waiting. No updates. I call and am told it will now be after MID-MAY before I (might) receive my product!! So I request a refund. They refund me 30% of the $400 I paid and I have ZERO rolls of that wallpaper. They don't even care.

Ana came up with a beautiful design and we couldn't be happier with the results. She really helped guide us and worked with us to help our vision come to life. She was patient with my indecisiveness but helped us keep our project moving. We're out of their usual location range and couldn't work with their contractors, so I think because of that some of the communication was challenging between designer and contractor. (It seems like they work pretty seamlessly with Builder Boy!) So while that was challenging at times, the end result is one I know I couldn't have done without Ana's skilled eye and access to beautiful materials I didn't even know existed. I'm really felt like the design was such a collaboration between us and she really helped me realize my vision and what was important to us.

Once the design process was done, she helped me to manage the project and communicate with the contractor (she introduced me to two options, got me quotes from both, and I went with JJ Construction, who was wonderful!). Of course a project of this size will come with its problems and the best thing about Satin and Slate is that they always had a solution or solutions ready for me. Mateo and Anna kept in constant contact with me about materials and timing and I am so appreciative of their meticulous attention to detail. Every time my mom has had an issue since Alicia finished the job (for example, those same motorized blinds stopped working and needed a mechanical repair) she has refused to help get repair work done, and won't connect us with the supplier for warranty support. If I could give her zero stars I absolutely would.
