They always go above and beyond to make sure I have everything I need. Turns out I ended up getting great service & lower pricing at a tile store down the street on Bascom Ave.

Before buying, I asked Chris if he had this in stock as our installers were coming that Friday. He told me they had it in stock in their San Jose warehouse and it would be delivered on Wednesday with plenty of time. Wednesday came and went without a call from Towne Tile, Thursday morning my wife called. They said they would call us right back which they didn't do. I called later in the afternoon as the tile contractor was arriving the following morning. I learned they didn't have the tile, in fact, they don't actually have a warehouse in San Jose. My wife and I were out of time and options with the tile contractor (and other contractors behind him) coming the next day. Ryan told us to come to the shop and pick something else out and he would make it right. We went to the shop and the he only had one other tile as an option. Ryan had a pompous attitude like we were putting him out. We chose the tile as we had no options at that point. They promised delivery to our house that evening for installation the next day. The delivery came and when I checked it, they had delivered the wrong grout. Amazing that nobody double checked after their initial mistake. I immediately drove to the shop and they were long gone 20 minutes after closing. I emailed them and the sales guy called back. He brought the correct grout the next morning. Ryan gave us a discount on the tile, but when I went to take back the incorrect grout and get the credit, he was even more pompous than before. In his eyes, he made no mistakes. I tried to explain that they had: 1. Lied about the tile being in stock 2. Lied about having a San Jose Warehouse 3. Didn't call when the tile didn't arrive 4. Only had one other option available for us 5. Delivered the wrong grout He was pissed that I had mentioned my experience to someone else. I tried to politely tell him that I think we were going to have to disagree on how badly he handled the situation, but he didn't want to hear about it. However, had they been honest about 1-3 above, I would have used another supplier. Instead, I was stuck with moving forward with them at the 11th hour. Do not trust Towne Tile and especially Ryan. They do not have a San Jose Warehouse where the tile is in stock. They rely on outside distributors. Timing on a construction job is very critical. Cut out the middle man and go directly to one of the shops on Brokaw Road. My advise is, if you do decide to move purchase from Towne Tile, *Do Not Pay* until the tile is delivered on time and your order is correct.

Ezra really took care of me and I believe he does this with all his customers, how else would he be in this location for so many years? I did a lot of research (too much in Ezra's opinion) but in the end, 99% of the recommendations he made, I ended up going with - solid sales guy that wants to sell customers high quality that will last them a long time at very fair prices. A company is more than just its pretty products. Customer service, knowledge and expertise with the products weigh in as importantly in my opinion. I think with Samantha you will get the best of both worlds though I wouldn't vouch for anyone else there! I give 4 stars as I just cannot forgive the past experience I had. BUYER BEWARE. I'm an interior designer in Arizona, and we…read morepurchased 10 slabs of Silver Roots Dolomite from Rock Mill. Unfortunately, this turned into a very costly and frustrating experience. From the beginning, the slabs showed issues with the polished finish, including visible etching and surface damage. The client loved the slabs so much we decided to polish out etching on the slabs. But during fabrication, my highly experienced stone fabricator discovered that all of the slabs were structurally compromised -- something that could not have been identified through a standard visual inspection upon delivery. According to my fabricator, the failure is caused either to improper storage conditions or defects during the milling process, specifically involving the epoxy and mesh backing adhesion. During fabrication the mesh and epoxy coating on the back of every slab peeled away, causing the slabs to literally fall apart during fabrication. Silver Roots Dolomite naturally contains dramatic veining, which makes proper reinforcement absolutely critical. When the epoxy and mesh fail, the stone loses its structural integrity entirely. I contacted my sales representative, Mark at Rock Mill, and was told that because we were outside of their 7-10 day inspection window, they would not assist us further. Again, these were internal structural failures that could not have been detected through a routine visual inspection. I reached out again afterward and received no response. In my opinion, these slabs should never have been sold without disclosure regarding their condition, brittleness, or possible age-related deterioration. Based on this experience, I DO NOT recommend Rock Mill. If this is how they handle legitimate concerns from someone within the design and trade industry, I would be very concerned about how the average consumer would be treated.
