This Distillery is the best! Parking is easy. The staff is great. My only disappointment is they won't ship to my state.

Best distillery in the area if your looking for a tasting to go to. I'm guessing they probably have over 30 flavors between the cream and shine. Every single one I tried went down smoothly with no burn, plus old forge is a higher proof then the other shine maker down the road. Ask for Rob at the bar, he made our tasting the best! My husband is a huge forge enthusiast so the name immediately caught his eye. We have stopped in a few other distilleries and I had done a majority of the tastings, but it was his turn this time. We came in as a group of five, about 30 minutes before closing. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. My husband is a huge whiskey fan, so that is what he immediately tried it. He considers himself a whiskey snob as a majority of what he drinks are Irish Whiskey's. He told me after a few sips it was arguably the best whiskey he has ever had. The service we recieved from Sarah at the bar was awesome. She was friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable. It is also a perk she is an Ohio native as well. We walked out with a bottle of whiskey, a moonshine sample pack, souvenirs, and a beautiful forged knife from a railroad spike. This is our first trip to the area, but it won't be our last. We have already planned a trip back and will be sure to stop in every time. Thank you for the awesome experience!! read more

The staff was not welcoming at all. We walked up to the bar and the girls behind the bar argued about weather another couple at the bar had been there already, for at least 5 min before they began the tasting. They acted rude the whole time not interacting with the crowd or even smiling. It ruined my vibe and i left half way through the tasting. They lost a customer because i always make it a point to buy at least one jar when i get a tasting for free. read more

Moonshine stores all have that smell which is normally a turnoff for me but we went inside. Wife and I enjoyed ourselves. There were free samples and we tried most of the flavors. I am not a moonshine person but enjoyed the different samples. Service was great! We walked out with several products and were pleased with our purchases. read more

This is my favorite stop in Tennessee! I can't seem to drive past! The french toast moonshine cake is delicious!!!!! The staff is amazing, fun and knowledgeable! This is a winner! They offer complimentary tastings and the associate who tended to us was very sweet, professional and knowledgeable. They have a great variety to choose from. Easy to park up front. Friendly staff. We sampled 8 flavors and really enjoyed them. They were kind and allowed my 8 year old son to sample lemonade while the adults tried the moonshine. We all left with a 6 pack of samples. Thank you for a fun sampling! read more

I visited all the moonshine distilleries in Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg. Quiet by accident Olde Forge was the last I made it to and it was because of that I have a great appreciation for their spirits. They have a much better product, in my opinion. The flavored moonshines are not as sweet and have a more refined finish. They also have their own 9 year old bourbon that was very nice. They simply have a superior product without all the hype and ..... sillyness some of the other places use. Great job, excellent recipe. read more

We went in to taste here and there was a huge line with only one employee behind the bar helping all the customers lined up to taste, about 25-30 people deep. There was one employee apart from the the bar and he was giving samples of the cream line of products they have. We sampled that instead. We had to wait several minutes for a cashier to return to check us out. This place was neat but there was a significant wait. read more

My wife and I LOVED the moonshine tasting from Rob & the cocktails from Shane. Their passion for their craft shines through in their drinks and showmanship. Everyone there is very friendly & extremely knowledgeable about their spirits. As my wife was enjoying her Bahama Mama-esque drink and I was sipping on my Old Forge Fasion - hands down the best Old Fasion I have ever had, Shane broke out some jolly ranchers for our kids, a small token of the sort of atmosphere that they foster there at Old Forg.
