The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but you can tell they're using quality ingredients, and it's worth it for the elevated breakfast experience. Service was quick and efficient--we were in and out in about 40 minutes, including ordering, drinks, food, and payment. If you can make a reservation, it's ideal, but even without one, the wait time isn't usually too bad. My spouse ordered the breakfast burrito, and I ordered the standard eggs and sausage, over $20 for two eggs, two sausages, a handful of salty potatoes, and a single piece of stale toast? The value is laughable. I've had better breakfasts at roadside diners for half the price. Then the food arrived. Cold. The over-easy eggs were cold, the toast was cold, and the sausages looked like they had been cremated. If you've never experienced cold over-easy eggs, OEB will happily introduce you to them. What I cannot understand is how this place has built such a reputation. Based on my experience, it is one of the most overrated breakfast restaurants in the city. You're paying premium prices for overcrowding, excessive heat, mediocre service, and food that should never have left the kitchen. I won't be back.
