It was lunch time and the place was actually empty so we were skeptical but gave it a try anyways. Definitely looks like a family owned and family-run restaurant. The menu has a lot of choices. I believe the main dishes were only available for dinner so we went with the breakfast and lunch option. Steak, egg, toast, coffee- hubby got this breakfast special and the portion was huge! Look at the plate. It was a big slice of steak, 2 eggs (scrambled) fries, a side of bread and a cup of coffee. We could have totally shared the one entree and be full for 2 people! The price definitely beats the portion. Steak sandwich- I got the sandwich which was also big in portion. It came with chips fries on top. The sandwich had onions and lettuce, tomatoes. It may not be the tastiest meal but it def satisfied our belly and our wallet. The service was great. The guy who took our order was very nice and the lady seems like she didn't speak a lot of English. The food was not salty so more on the bland side so you can definitely dress it up with sauce. We would definitely stop by here again if in town to try their dinner menu. Price definitely is great for budget friendly people :)

They focus on the food, and the food only. La Fama is a little hole in the wall located next to a Spanish supermarket. You'll see a window known as a "ventanita" - and folks ordering Cortados or Cafe con leche. There are two sides to this place, a bar seating area or a small dining room - in either room you'll get full service. The women serving you and taking your orders are also squeezing fresh orange juice, and toasting fresh bread. The cooks in the back are loud and you're able to see it all happening right in front of you. It feels like your in someone's grandmothers home. The food, absolutely delicious. It's all coming out fresh, flavorful, and up to par. I keep coming back here every time I stop in Miami. You can have a coffee, 2 eggs, toast, bacon, and orange juice for under $8. Just to give you roughly an idea of what you're looking at price point. My favorites on the menu: Pan con Bistec, Pork Chops, and the Chicharron de pollo. All paired with white rice, and black beans.

DIRT AND MUD IN THE SALAD!!! WATCH OUT…read more We ordered the salad with mango and pecans. They do not wash there lettuce. There was literally dirt/mud at the bottom and I took my first bite and it felt like biting into sand. Upon spitting the food out onto my plate it was black sludge. Literally my tongue and teeth were black. The waiter came by and grabbed the plate when I was in the bathroom. I spent about 10 minutes trying to get that BLACK SLUDGE out of my mouth. When I was spitting out the dirt/mud wife noticed the bus boys laughing at me and there was not a manger in sight. When I asked for a manager he did not even respond. No apology or anything just a look of confusion. Worst experience in a restaurant in my life and I love to eat and have been to many types of restaurant big and small. Cheap and expensive and this one takes the cake. We were so bummed as I see thousands of great reviews. But if there was a zero I would have given zero stars the way they handled the situation. If you eat there in the future make sure to check for DIRT/MUD.

I was in the neighborhood to get a badly needed haircut while visiting from the Bay Area for work and next door on the corner on an otherwise unassuming street is this solid legit Cuban sammie and coffee place. Locals galore sitting outside sipping strong Cuban coffee and eating Sammie's and empanadas. Who am I to argue with the locals. They definitely steered me right on this one. The Cubano was stuffed with moist roasted pork and ham with pickles and melted cheese. The spicy garlicky green sauce that comes with it could make an old shoe delicious ! The coffee was spot on and that roasted pork and plantain empanada also hit the proverbial spot. All in with tax and tip for $25 I was stuffed full and now remarkably fluent in Spanish ! Located a couple of blocks off a major road (Washington Ave.), Las Olas Cafe felt like a hole-in-the wall neighborhood joint - a team of off-duty police officers were enjoying their dinner inside the restaurant, and families were eagerly lined up at the to-go window outside the restaurant. As I waited in line to order, I perused the menu, which included breakfast items, coffee, and a variety of sandwiches. Even though there were only a couple of customers ahead of me in line, each meal was made-to-order before the next order was taken. This meant that the staff prepared about half a dozen coffees, a couple of smoothies, and several meals before it was my turn to order. When I finally placed my order for a Cubano sandwich, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. My sandwich was served piping hot, and I eagerly took my food to go so I could enjoy it at the beach nearby. Despite the wait (about an hour from the time I arrived at the cafe despite the short line), my food was delicious. The sandwich was stuffed with crispy shredded pork and ham, and a generous amount of mustard, melted cheese, and pickles pulled it all together.

LOL Sky Coffee Buenos Aires is a viral Miami spot on social media and I can see why! What makes it so unique is this small Argentinian cafe operates out of the front part of a former Delta Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-8. I visited here on Monday and was thankful to find parking on the side of the street. As you come in-The plane is set up in a small park like area. They have outside tables you can dine and I loved that the whole area is decorated in an airport theme throughout the property. There was even a set of airport waiting seats and luggage as you make your way on the plane. Roaming the ground you will see adorable roosters, hens, and their babies which is super adorable. You place food and drink orders inside the cabin of the plane where you can also see the cockpit. They had the viral Dubai chocolate and strawberries along with sandwiches, pastries, and coffee beverages. Their sugar croissant was a must. Service was friendly and warm. They were even wearing airline uniforms, how cool is that?! I decided on a vanilla cold cream latte and that sweet croissant which was ready in no time and took it to go. There's two enclosed plastic patio domes on the property you can't miss. This is available through a reservation ONLY. Looks like a cozy spot and it is air conditioned inside which would be extremely comfortably on those hot Florida days for folks to enjoy. With this photogenic location and the delicious food and drinks makes Sky Coffee a must stop when you are in Miami.
