A disappointing little "pint" of shrimp fried rice

Very disappointed with out last Visit. It seems that they are drastically trying to save money. The shrimp was half the size they used to serve, as are the containers. I ordered a variety of pint sized food options. The portions arrived in barely 4oz containers. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come

I was unfortunately disappointed by my early dinner at this darkly-lit, strip-mall restaurant about 1/4 mile west of Troy. With only four other diners seated, the single sushi chef was busy enough with about five small take-out orders to delay my order to 30 minutes from the time I arrived. As I initially sat at the empty sushi bar, I thought I briefly noticed a peculiar fishy smell. The display cooler seemed normal, and the food I was served had a fresh appearance, texture and taste, so I could not identify the source. I did see that none of the fish in the cooler was individually wrapped, as I have seen at every other restaurant. Instead, one single giant sheet of plastic film covered all of the items together. There were no settings prepared at the sushi bar, so it took the waitress a minute or two to assemble the cloth napkin, fork, waribashi and bowls. I was handed a bowl of fried wonton crisps and "orange colored dip," from the stack of pre-filled chip bowls, sitting over at the corner of the sushi bar. I amused myself, noticing that my "chip" bowl was chipped. However, this did not distract me from the lukewarm tea and bland soup I was served. As I was killing time during my extended wait for my entree, one of the waitresses had her shift meal. Despite all of the empty tables in the restaurant, she grabbed a seat next to me at the bar. While this is usually not allowed at other restaurants, I once again lowered my expectations here. After she finished eating, the chef finally presented me with a small amuse bouche: chopped up tempura covered tiny flavorless fishbits over wakame. When my entree came, as two separate plates, I was less than impressed with my usual order of a couple of maki and a handful of nigiri. The plating was pretty simple, with slices of lemon as the only decoration. While the presentation was competent, the flavors were not there. The rice itself was very bland, wasabi was missing from the nigiri, the spicy salmon was not spicy, overpowered by the "crunch" filler. The egg cake, thankfully not advertised as tamago, was strange: surprisingly warm without the taste of eggs fresh-from-the-pan. The mackerel was pretty small, as I watched the chef open and slice off the first pieces from a vacuum sealed package. I was finally poured hot tea - just in time to pay my bill. With the bill came - what else? - a small plate of fruit and, of course, a pre-packaged fortune cookie. I really can't see a reason to return soon. 2019 02 16. S19.

Bone in Ribs with pork fried rice not bad

So tonight we ate at the Okinawa it was a very decent place to go and get Chinese we took it out and we ate at home but they were fast courteous and delivered the food to us in a timely manner when we got there. The food was good overall the one thing I would say is that I would definitely tomorrow make sure that you look at the menu when you order because some of the things I've never had with spice such as sesame chicken. It kind of threw me off when I took a bite of it and it was pretty spicy I'm not against spice but when I'm not looking for it or wanting it on my food it makes for difficult dish 2 continue to eat. It was like they made it with the General Tsao Chicken sauce instead of the sesame chicken sauce and it just doesn't make sense to me. I will say though that everything else was delicious and with that being said I would recommend this place to anyone who would like a good Japanese or Chinese restaurant cuisine to try. Thank you so much for listening.

Our second visit was disappointing. My friend had Hot & Spicy Shredded Beef, it came out mostly bell peppers and onions with a few strips of meat hidden inside. My House Special Lo Mein was good though.

Sunday is my eat out day, and I picked up my aunt, drove to troy. Found d some street parking, went to the order kiosk and placed my order based on what I could eat and recommendations from the employee at the register. I chose, lunch combo with chicken and chicken teriyaki plate. May be, just the chicken was overcooked and a little fibery, besides that, it was very flavorful. I do have a couple more options to try, with me enjoying the food, definitely makes it an option for a revisit. If you live pork and beef, you definitely have more options. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.

Spam Musubi - The spam had a nice savory flavor slightly salty went well with the rice. The seaweed had a slight fishy taste that was pleasant with the dish. Bulgogi Kimchi Burrito with beef (2 Burritos) We might eat this there next time it was falling apart in the container the wax paper was sticking to it. The flavor was really good though. Slight amount of spice nice vegetable crunch tasty marinated beef. Side of french fries were kind of tasty nothing special. Nashville Hot Chicken Sando Combo came with two sandwiches we asked for 1 mild and one regular. The first chicken sandwich was a little dry it might've been the mild flavor, it was all right. The medium chicken sandwich had a little bit more spice than the mild same so so flavor a little dry also. Spicy Pork Bowl with SPICY MAYO. This had a nice flavor, a little bit sweet and a good amount of spice. The sauce was sweeter than I like. We wanted to try a nice variety since we had never been there and have been wanting to try the place for a while. All in all we found the food to be pretty good, not sure if we would order any of these items again though since we felt nothing knocked our socks off. We would like to try the poke bowl next. If you are ordering for pick up be careful about where you order it. Make sure you go to bespoke bowl's website. Important sidenote when ordering takeout here: We ended up going through what we thought was their website and it was some third-party site that was selling this restaurants food and we ended up paying between 12 and $15 more for our order. I showed it to the staff when I picked it up because I had looked at their menu in the store and saw the price difference. The staff seemed confused/surprised.

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.

This is a lost service in the restaurant industry, but a lovely touch. We were seated in, what can only be described as, a room with phenomenal atmosphere. Low light, but you could see, comfortable seating, amazing art on the walls, and a perfect spot for a romantic dinner. The service was top notch. We were offered water immediately. They have a cocktail menu that included historical cocktails dating back to the 19th Century until present day. The cocktails were perfect. We had pre-ordered a half bottle of champagne. It was very good. We also ordered caviar service. It is 1 ounce with sour cream, egg whites, yolks, and onions. Fresh made Bellinis that were still warm. We enjoyed it immensely. It was a lovely compliment to the champagne. For an appetizer we enjoyed the escargot. We have had escargot in many places, rarely, if ever, was it as good at this was. The garlic butter was on point, the crusty bread was a great addition to the dish. It was served with tiny leaves of Swiss chard. We cannot recommend this enough. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from their extensive wine list, Stag's Leap. This wine paired perfectly with the filet mignon bordelaise, and the veal chop with cherry peppers. We had a visit with the chef, he was a wonderful representative of this amazing restaurant. We cannot recommend this place enough. It's a little spendy, but worth every penny. Service, 5 stars! Atmosphere, 5 stars! Food, better than 5 stars! We will definitely be back.
