Quite enjoyed this spot in Noe! Their menu is pretty reasonably priced, and the fish is super fresh and thick cut. I got the chirashi bowl which was so delicious! BTW they do 10% off with cash also!

Great location , always have a good happy hour! Our go to is always the red dragon, tiger , and jalapeño roll. We usually start off with the classic miso soup, and the house salad is phenomenal! The dressing is to die for , lil sweet and lil tangy! The Red dragon and tiger roll has freshly fried shrimp tempura. The crunch on them is amazing! And the jalapeño roll has a light kick of spice but very mellow and delicious as well! Service is always excellent and the restaurant is very intimate and peaceful. And 10% off the bill when paying with cash!! Always a plus!

Lovely small eatery with a neighbourhood vibe. Service was good, and food was adequately tasty. The GesoAge squid legs were meaty and tasty. Our sushi rolls were very filling. Presentation was frickin crazy, I had no idea what was in the sauce but it was going ham. The quality of the sushi is not the highest, but good enough for a neighbourhood spot, and also for the price of the rolls! Mackerel plate was bland to me but my partner liked it as it was just a well fried mackerel. Not dry but not juicy. Just a fish

Ordered delivery here through DoorDash so can't speak to Ambiance. Service took an hour, which is expected for a Saturday night at 7pm. Food was solid. Was it the best sushi I've had? No. Was it the worst? No. Lion King roll was bomb and the 12 piece sashimi was delicious. The King of Hamachi was overcooked though. Would be willing to try this spot again but I'd want to try more rolls.

I never thought I would say affordable and fresh sushi in the same sentence but Oki Sushi in Noe Valley does just that. Hello Roll (eel, hamachi, avocado), Hawaii Roll (tuna avocado), Spicy Tuna, and Salmon Lover (Salmon skin and cucumber topped with salmon, tobiko, and scallion) all for under $40 before tax and tip. I though the Hello Roll would be my favorite, but I also couldn't stop eating the Salmon Lover so had gotten it all again the second time in one form or another. The second time however wasn't as great as the first as the rice was mushy and didn't have any seasoning (rice vinegar, etc.). In addition, also got the king of hamachi which I was not a big fan of since I prefer raw hamachi over cooked, which this had both. Instead of just spicy tuna this time, I upgraded to the lover roll which was the spicy tuna topped with white tuna and tobiko that came with both the black and orange tobiko. Overall, the mushy unseasoned rice took away from the experience the second time but I am hoping that it was just a one-off since they were really busy with takeout orders that day. Was takeout only when I went the first-time but it has now opened for indoor dining. Walking distance from Mitchell's Ice Cream for dessert after is another bonus.

Visit Date: Dinner on 11/3/2024 The cutest local spot in Noe - I was able to walk in and sat down without any wait. The Oki Combo was great value and I was so full after! Good quality for the price.

Just amazing all around. The sushi menu is fun, dynamic, and delicious. My friends and I barely used any soy sauce at all! The flavors pop! Service was excellent.

If you come around 8pm, you likely won't have to wait long since the dinner rush tends to slow down by then. Some of the best seats are near the entrance where you can watch the sushi chefs preparing the food. When we arrived, the staff brought complimentary edamame for the table while we looked over the menu. I appreciate when edamame isn't overloaded with salt, and they did a great job keeping it simple and flavorful. I love spicy food, so my friend and I split the spicy tuna roll, the hot girl roll, and the baked scallop roll. Each one was delicious, but the hot girl roll was my favorite. It's topped with spicy tuna and jalapeños and had the perfect kick. The baked scallop roll came out hot and gooey, covered in a sweet garlic sauce that paired really well with the scallops. The restaurant is also vegetarian-friendly, which is one of the reasons we chose it. My partner ordered the avocado maki, veggie dragon roll, and the futo maki. His favorite was the veggie dragon roll, which includes avocado and eggplant. The futo maki wasn't as much of a hit for him, but that may just be because he's not a big fan of radish. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for the quality of the food and the welcoming service. The service and food quality was consistently good with attentive friendly prompt service both times. Busy sushi counter with three sushi chefs slicing and dicing away! Highlights here for me were the big thick super fresh pieces of sushi (Toro, Salmon and Albacore), and the Tonkatsu Pork Curry Rice. Though the menu seems vast, I didn't really encounter anything that I didn't enjoy. The Dragon and "Heart Attack" rolls were perfect. Everything was just on point or better. Well... wait.. I didn't think the Sushi Tacos were that great, as they were unexpectedly spicy and fall apart rather easily. Eh.. I'll master that maybe next time. Lots of angled parking out in front. The first time I came here, I got the strawberry matcha latte with my friends. We ordered it via delivery on DoorDash, and I'm not sure if it's just the whole delivery part, but I could not taste any part of the strawberry! It just tasted like regular cream on top. Typically I'm more of a coffee person than matcha, so I'm not a great judge in whether this was good matcha or not. But I guess it did taste ok in my opinion. The funny thing is, my coworker also said the same thing when she ordered the strawberry matcha latte a separate time! Disappointing. A separate time, we also ordered from them via delivery. This time I was eager to try their food items instead, since they have a pretty interesting selection, like those cake sandwiches and various Japanese items. I got the spam masubi, which I thought would be a solid choice. It did arrive warm, but the slice of spam that was in the masubi was so thin! It was the thinnest piece of spam I had ever gotten, and I've gotten spam masubis at a variety of places including ABC stores and other places in Hawaii, and even various stores in the States. The rice was okay, some brown rice thing with seasoning, that was decent but not my preferred white rice. Overall my two times here have been disappointing. I will really never line up for this place in person, nor will I understand why people do.

The tsukemen noodles were thick and tasty, and the broth was rich and flavorful, but I definitely found myself wishing there were more toppings or flavors to switch things up with each bite. After about halfway through the bowl, it started to feel repetitive just dipping the same noodles into the same savory broth over and over. My friend felt similarly about the mazesoba. It was flavorful at first, but once everything was mixed together, it became a bit heavy toward the end. Everything about the ordering process and the quality of the food itself was good but not great. There was no wow factor or anything that left me feeling extra motivated to return, but I also wouldn't be opposed if I were nearby and craving onigiri. There's a single kiosk in-store to order at, but you can also place an order with the person working the counter if it's not too busy. I wasn't sure what I wanted immediately, so I waited for one of my friends to finish before ordering. I added 1 unagi eel, 1 unagi onigiri, and 1 crab onigiri to my basket and checked out. I have absolutely no idea what's the difference between "unagi eel" and "unagi onigiri", and when I went to pick up my order, the staff member told me my order was two unagi and one crab. However, I was charged $4.50 for the unagi eel and $4.30 for the unagi onigiri, so go figure. I could not detect a difference between the two, and the price of each averaged out to $4.40, so it's whatever. I unwrapped one of the unagi onigiris to eat in-store as we waited for a Zoox to arrive. It was actually pretty difficult to extricate the seaweed and rice ball filling in one piece to consume together, which I presume is because the onigiris are each made-to-order and due to the freshness, the separate ingredients haven't had a chance to marinate and congeal together. As I had not eaten all day, I quickly devoured the onigiris before and after our short ride back to a café where some of our other friends were waiting. The onigiris were, as I mentioned before, pretty standard minus the fact they kind of fell apart. I would say if you like onigiris, then these will get the job done, but they're nothing exceptional, so keep your standards at baseline.
