This was our first time at an OHSO and we had a positive experience. We waiting about 20 minutes for a table inside because it was 109 outside. We didn't check out the patio until we left, which was a bummer because it was awesome! It was pretty happening inside but the patio was jumpin'! Anyhow, we both had burgers which were very good. I was a bit bummed that they had more guest beers on tap than their own stuff. I understand they brew in small batches, but my wife ended up with a beer from a different local brewery. Buns were doughy! When we got to the restaurant our immediate thoughts were, this is not a family place. First thing we smelt was beer and it was pretty loud inside. We understand it's a brewery but the alcohol smell was strong. When we ordered my wife and I got hamburgers tonight. I got the bbq burger and my wife got the cheese burger. The burgers looked nice but once you pick up the burger the buns were VERY soft and almost doughy. We weren't too happy about with it. Also the serving size of fries was tiny. My burger was definitely not worth the $16. I felt like I paid way to much for the serving size I was given. read more

I asked her to surprise me with a 3oz tasting of the donut beer, and she picked a very interesting and yummy choice! She spent some time talking with us about all the beer, how it was made, her feedback on it, etc. Food was amazing. I had the partty melt. It was a hamburger party on Texas toast with cheese, grilled onions, and rosemary aioli. So good! Also had the sweet potato fries. They were the best I've ever had. Crispy with a hint of garlic. I love ohso, but I went in at the end of august and ordered a pitcher of beer with a friend. I poured a glass and noticed my finger was bleeding. I tried to not make it a big deal, but the pitcher was chipped and broken along the top. I told the waitress and she went a got me a bandage. Obviously I didn't have to pay for the pitcher. The manager never came over, and there wasn't any further contact. I sent an email to the company and received the general automatic reply. I never received any follow up in email or phone call. Just disappointed such a major restaurant chain would have such poor follow up on something that could have been a big deal. read more

In Oregon we love our brew pubs. We were invited by good friends in Gilbert to go there for dinner. I was impressed by the size of this establishment. So dog friendly, cornhole game while waiting for your table, and attentive work staff to text you when your table is next! The food was great! Service was good also. Was seated in the Patio. It was suprisngly not too hot considering the time of day probably because of the misters. We had a server she was a redhead with glasses her name was Rachael. Hardly got any attention. Came by once to give us drinks and that was it. Got charged for kids drinks that were supposed to come with kids meal. When I brought it up she told me that everywhere she goes when she goes out to eat charge. I told her this isn't typically the case. She then argued with me I should have read the menu more carefully. I then asked to speak to her manager and she rolled her eyes sighed really loud and stormed off. My sister was in from out of town from TX. We did a little tour of downtown G-Town and purposely ended up at OHSO because they have a sidewalk sign that says their kitchen is open until midnight. Perhaps, in fine print, it states it is an EXTREMELY LIMITED MENU, but you def can't see that driving by. There was barely anything available and none of it appealed to me. My sister and BFF ordered burgers and I ordered a glass of wine. After waiting forever and still no food, they started breaking down the bar area and cleaning with bleach. It wasn't near 12. We paid for our drinks and left dismayed and hungry with nose hair singed from bleach smell. I won't be back despite claims the food is "good". Oh-so disappointed. read more

The outside patio is cool and we had lots of fun , we were there Monday night watching the NCAA finals . The tons of money this place bring in and they feel that they need to cheat you on the beer they sell . The outside bar sells 16 and 24 oz beers , I believe the 16 oz is about 7.50 and 24 oz is about 10.00 depending on what kind of beer. I was buying 24 oz beers all night until someone poured a 24 oz into a 16 oz cup , and surprisingly it was almost the exact same quantity , only a couple ounces left over . My math tells me there should be 8 ounces left over . OHSO you should be ashamed that you would do this to loyal customers . And Kenze R your the business manager? Decided to try this place out based on a friend's recommendation on the chicken and waffles... Wow, they were incredible. Best I've ever had! Go for the beer brunch Lots of selections and most beer is part of the brunch! Can't beat a beer for a penny! Great space. The inside restaurant has plenty of seating but head for the patio if the weather is good. Just watch that the leg of your chair doesn't drop into the floor grate! Tried the new Outrageous Homebrew Social Outpost in Gilbert last night. Quality over quantity yet I felt it was a bit overpriced for the portions. The Ahi & Calimari appetizer was very pricy at $17.50. The Ahi was very good but the breeding on the calamari made me feel like I was getting mostly breading and the portion was small for the price. The Midnight Run beer was great!! And they don't hesitate to give shot glass tastes of their many brews. My wife had the Port Skillet and liked it. I had the Beer Braised Shortribs. Again a small portion for $23.00 and they could have given it more veggies, I got two thin slices of carrot, mostly green beans and something I'm not sure what it was. The short rib was very nice and tender and the Demi was....... ok. Good luck!! read more

Checked this out for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Was not a huge fan of the beers that I tried, but not a big deal. Will try some others next time. The small bites we ordered were not great (deviled egg dip, jalapeno cheese curds, crab wontons), maybe the entrees are better. The biggest issue was the service at the outdoor bar. It was a Wednesday afternoon, not a ton of other patrons there and the staff barely acknowledged us. Two bartenders and I'm guessing a bar back/busser? who did not offer us menus at all. We had to ask for those, and then again ignored us to ask if we actually wanted to order a beer/food. Friend eventually got a bartender's attention to order a beer, they then gave him his beer and then ignored/didn't ask me if I wanted one. Dunno, really strange. OHSO makes good beer and has a nice local selection and prices are in line with others in the area. No complaints in the beer department. Service was great as well. I've eaten there twice and been unimpressed both times. The food menu and execution leave a lot to be desired and it is a costly lesson for you as the consumer. 11.50 for chips and guacamole. 3.50 extra for a bowl of salsa! App choices are very limited and they are all pricey. 15.50 for fries with a few pieces of steak on top. 14.50 for a tasteless burger and fries. Note to person making the burgers, a little salt and pepper go a long way. Second time had the fried chicken sandwich and it was a small piece of chicken over breaded and over cooked. Hopefully the food issues will work themselves out but overall we were disappointed in the quality of food served. Will give the eats another chance but thinking this may be a place to visit for beer and eat somewhere else. read more

So close, but no cigar. Gonna chalk it up to a new location and hope they continue to improve because the potential is definitely there! Pros! Beautiful. Large and spacious. Very dog friendly. Great seating and ambience, lighting etc. server was attentive and friendly. Cons: very few options for vegetarians and vegans. Although they had a very small, limited vegan menu (which us vegans appreciate!), there were only a few things. Upon being seated, they informed us that they were out of veggie patties. My husband is vegetarian, not vegan. Every sandwich had meat. He settled for a grilled cheese, added tomato (which was forgotten and brought out later, but was cold added to a hot sand which). Salad was okay, but not overly substantial for the price. Beers were good, but again, for $7ish a beer and mediocre food, doesn't make me overly excited to go back. I do applaud them though, because he said they brought in other veggie patties when they ran out, but they didn't meet their standard so they weren't serving them. All in all, I will probably go back for happy hour for some drinks. Or with my dog when not very hungry. Otherwise, I'll hope they add more veggie options in the future and figure out their inventory so I can try a vegan burger! Overall good for the short amount of time they've been open and SO much potential to cater to many demographics, and create a wonderful neighborhood and community vibe. Seige knowledge of beer, its process, and how and what to pair your brew with was spot on. There was absolutely no doubt he loved what he is doing and shares it expertly. 2 stars solely for good tasting food. However, this is the second time I've order the Mac and cheese and this is how much I get for $11, they've shorted me both times. I'm never ordering from OHSO again. They also do not accept Apple Pay which is an inconvenience at times, since nearly every restaurant takes Apple Pay now especially here in Gilbert. read more
