Bland rice. Check. Over cooked Lobster Tail. Check. Well done Filet Mignon. Check. This is not how I remember Ohana. The Nor'easter restricted us to remain closer to home. So instead of going to our first choice in Pelham, we chose Ohana for convenience. We've had great experiences here in the past hibachi and sushi-wise, but this evenings visit was an entirely different story... ...'Hibachi Chef, please don't over cook my lobster.' As I sadly look at my plate, I received an over cooked lobster tail...What a waste! Hibachi Chef asks, 'How would you like your Filet Mignon?' 'Medium rare, please.' 'Medium well? 'No, medium rare, please.' As he's cooking and flipping and whatever else he's doing, I'm trying to get his attention without making too much of a fuss, as I know the temp has surpassed medium on my Filet. But then it dawns on me, he only knows one cooking temperature and that's well done. So what I receive on my plate is a well done, tough to chew Filet Mignon. Another waste. Geez!! I hate wasting food. Our young hibachi chef, poor thing, tried to entertain doing the flippity flips and singe flame your eyebrows off, but that's as entertaining as it got. It was a sad display. He even dropped one of his spatulas...no doubt, jokes ensued. Forget the food. Forget the odd brighter than bright, bright lights meant for a doctors office within the main dining area. My family being who we are, we made the best of an unfavorable birthday dinner and laughed and joked at the situation and had a great time despite the two and a half star food experience.

Came here for my friends birthday and the person making our food was so funny! He was interactive with us and made jokes. Food was good and the place was a relaxed state that you could speak to others in (music not too loud) not too classy either. Hope that when I come back it's the same way.

Our server was so fun!!! He had us singing and laughing. The food is really good. The portions are a bit smaller than the other hibachi spots in the neighborhood but overall, it was a great experience and I'd come back!

Everything about this place was great, the service, the drinks and the food was delicious I'll definitely come back

Horrible service! Waited over 20 minutes for our drinks. Please keep in mind we where the only customers there. We had to wait for the cook to come back from a break to get our food. No apologies for excessive time wait. Furthermore, the food was pretty good. I was unable to get the pictures of the rest of the food. Despite the horrible service the food is good. Next time I would order and do curb pick to avoid the wait.

Ohana is always a good time paired with good hibachi they also have a Japarican menu which I think is pretty cool. I have been here numerous times throughout the years and the staff is always kind. The cooks are pretty hilarious, and stay hip to modern youth lingo. The food portions are pretty large and you get a lot for your money. 15% Gratuity is automatically added onto your bill but if you choose to add extra you may do so. I always have the Hibachi chicken which includes soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, fried noodles, fried rice, a medley of fresh mixed vegetables such as, onions, zucchini, broccoli, red peppers & mushrooms. It is also accompanied by fried rice and of course a large portion of chicken. The meal ends with a choice of ice cream, all this for about $21.50, drink not included. I usually visit late afternoon during the summer , so that I can catch the great sunset along the water after dinner. Great location, very clean, flavorful food, wonderful staff, clean restrooms, it is City Island what is there not to love. Go check it out.

Always a great time, chefs are always funny! Food portion are on the small size but that's why the hibachi combo comes with soup, salad, veggies, noodles, fried rice, meat of choice and ice cream or sorbet. Alcohol beverages are great. Price is a bit higher then everybody else but worth it.

Service was also very attentive. For cocktails, I had the white sangria and my husband had the berry mojito. Both drinks were refreshing and well balanced, too pretty to drink! For tapas, we shared empanadas (angus beef, shrimp & chorizo, organic chicken), a tale of two countries (burrata, eggplant agrodolce, serrano ham) and land & sea (NY strip & sea scallops). We loved them all, so delicious and flavorful. For our entrees, we had the churrasco (char-grilled black angus skirt steak) and pollo gitano (organic chicken thighs, sweet sausage, hot cherry peppers). Also very good and beautifully presented, the pollo gitano had a little kick to it. For dessert, we had the churros con chocolate and flan, very tasty and perfect to end our dinner. Great date spot or casual outing with friends. You won't be disappointed. I'll absolutely be back.

We ordered a variety of tapas and everything hit: the empanadas (chicken, shrimp & sausage, beef) were crispy and flavorful, the crispy manchego was rich and indulgent, the pulpo a la sevillana was tender and well-seasoned, and the shrimp pinchitos were perfectly grilled. Finished with the flan, which was smooth, creamy, and the perfect ending. Great food, great vibe, and definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

All of their fresh pastas are very yummy but the biggest standout was the truffle gnocchi. I ordered many truffle pastas in NY and across Italy and this was the best Ive had by far. Let them know that they need to take the fish off a little bit sooner. Can't wait to go back and try it again though and hopefully they'll know how to cook fish by then. Adorable cozy light up front entrance, host/waiter greeted us by the front door and seated us right away. We tried the brussel sprouts (can't remember the name on the menu) aw man it was delicious! It had so much flavor and the perfect amount of crunch without it tasting burnt. We also had the baked clams, sadly that had zero flavor. I even dipped it into the sauce and yeah that didn't help much at all. I've had better. Now the GNOCCHI was interesting since it was in red sauce rather than the typical pesto cheesy sauce. I'm not too sure if it goes well together? I had a few pieces and the texture was great but I felt like I needed that cheesy flavor? Might just be my taste buds searching for something similar. Which btw my portion was half of the dish. Our waiter was nice enough to split the dish into 2 portions. That was def appreciated as many don't do that. Dude.. the creme brûlée?! I could have licked the plate clean! Def not my style but I was tempted! Haha it wasn't crazy sweet which is nice since you don't feel a cavity waiting to happen? It's a must try! Super curious about the other dishes. Highly recommend giving this spot a try! Btw there's a full bar so cheers!
