This place needs better management for sure. The wait staff seemed very nice and very apologetic for the fact that they ran out of chicken they ran out of steak it took over an hour for some chips and queso dip. This place has a captive audience with not many places around there to eat they could be making a lot of money if they did it better. Very hard to get a drink and very hard to get food and certainly not worth the wait. read more

The food here is consistently fresh and tasty. The service can be spotty at times, but usually they are on top of it. Not enough to make me consider not eating here. I am not salty about the non-supersized portion sizes considering the quality of the ingredients and the freshness. So, I recommend Oh Taco, good stuff to eat. We used to love coming to here, BUT tonight it was a bad start from the beginning. The bartenders did not welcome us nor tell us to seat ourselves or wait to be seated but no biggie...yet. It took forever to get served and everything I ordered was out. A food runner walked by us with our chips and salsa two times giving them to the wrong people. Our drinks took forever to get made, mind you one was a simple can of beer. Then my soup came out and it was ice cold. So my boyfriend said forget the food we just want the check. We were also confused because we saw so many servers but no one was really doing anything except walking back and forth behind the bar. * To top everything off some parents decided to bring their toddler and baby in the bar at 10pm and they were non stop yelling* Overall horrible experience. Also the last time we came just for drinks back in December the bartender was allowing a obviously intoxicated gentleman to yell obscenities and racial slurs in the middle of the day. OH Taco??..Oh Hell no Taco! One of the most horrible meals I have had in recent memory. We made a reservation at the hotel connected to this establishment. It's a nice place to grab some Mexican good, we ordered a quesadilla, half. 8$ good price good food. The place is clean and well put together. The bar staff was nice and accommodating. The food took a long time to come out, we had drank our happy hour margaritas which were made with liquor from the speak easy bar that is affiliated with Kilbourne, the hotel. Other than not getting our food in a timely manner place is pretty good. Also we tried ordering late, kitchen closes at 11pm, so I put an online order in at 10:50. Found out at about 11:15 they don't have an online ordering and my order was cancelled. Luckily I wasn't charged for whatever web theft or whatever was lurking out there. I Oder via the Yelp review of OH taco, and it was their website link. The lady or bar staff I spoke to was not very happy, and it seems like this happens more than just with my order. Stopped in for lunch on a rainy Thursday in June. Service was quick and friendly. They had a special lamb taco that was delicious. I also had the pollo and carne asada tacos and really enjoyed them. This is not authentic Mexican food, nor is it American-Mexican food like one gets in every town across the Country. This is more of a "fusion" place, where they put their own spin on a Mexican dish. Keep an open mind. It's true, $4 per taco is a bit steep but Sandusky's economy has shifted to tourism so prices are a bit high all over town. One can expect to pay $12 - $15 for lunch all over downtown. Will I go back? Yes. Would I stand in line for this place, probably not. read more

So, I'm not excited about writing a bad review. I want Sandusky to thrive, and I want new and exciting places to eat, But OH Taco is just plain bad. The food is okay but... (My main complaint) the portion sizes are a JOKE! If I were a server, I would be embarrassed to deliver the plates. They are not tacos, they are finger foods. I paid $4.50 for their "special" shrimp taco. It was no lie, 2 small shrimp on a small corn tortilla. Absolutely pathetic. Found this restaurant through Yelp. My family stayed at Great Wolf Lodge and didn't want to eat at the in resort restaurant. So glad we decided to come to OH taco. The location was right by the lake in downtown with lake views. The inside was really nice with a rustic vibe. We got the queso and pico for an app and it was really good. The tacos were also amazing. My picky 5 year old even ate his whole beef taco. Would definitely come back if we are in the area again read more

Stopped in for a bite while waiting for the ferry to Pelee Island, as there weren't a lot of options within walking distance of the dock. Also, there is a LOT of construction going on so simply walking across the street was a challenge. But once we made it, we found seats at the bar and waited to get the bartender's attention. It took him a few minutes, but we finally got drinks and placed our orders, only to be a bit underwhelmed with the quality of the food. Don't get me wrong, the tacos were OK, but they were JUST OK. Nothing about them blew me away, nothing made me want to come back for more. And the bartender never really came back to ask us if we needed anything else, and they weren't even busy. Maybe mid-day is just a slow time and they're really laid back but a bit more attention would have probably earned them another star. read more

We arrived around 8:30 pm on a Sunday night for a light dinner. We were not greeted by a hostess. We waited a few minutes before we waved to the bar tender that we'd like a table. Others arrived but they gave up and left the place. We ordered five tacos and finally received them 90 minutes later. The table next to us waited sixty minutes for their taco orders and received them at the same time we did. The tomatoes smelled rotten, the shrimp smelled like old seafood, the Mahi Mahi tuna was hard in texture and missing its signature avocado, the flour tortilla on one taco was torn in multiple pieces, and the tacos that were eaten were bland. The black beans and tortilla chips were okay, the chips tasting flat and stale. We were assured they were made fresh that day. Cocktails were good. I noticed a few tables were uncleared and had quite a lot of leftover food from the departed patrons. Our server was very apologetic but she could do very little about the poor food quality so we were not charged for it. Staff appeared understaffed and that is the trend in mid-2022. read more

When we arrived, we were treated fine at first, but when it came time to order we were told we can only order appetizers, even though the tables around us had regular food. Once we were done eating, we sat there for 30 minutes waiting for our bill as our waiter walked back and forth passed our table and once we finally got our bill we sat there for 30 more minutes waiting for our waiter to take our money and bring us our change. Really nice restaurant attached to Mosely's. The decor is very nice. There is art on the wall that is reminiscent of dua de los muertos. There are cog wheels on the wall . The room is darker. The staff is nice and good. The food was pretty tasty. The beer selection is nice and not costly. I got the nosferatu and it was 5 bucks. The tacos ranged from 3.5- 4 bucks. My biggest complaint is the size. They were really really small. It would benefit from an increase in size. They were like 3- 3.5 inches in diameter. Husband ordered a beer and I got a water, waitress seemed annoyed by my water order and then we ordered chips and salsa and queso and chip (you have to order them separately around $20 total) and never received our queso. Taco prices were a la cart and over priced. Our waitress was super spacey, even put my husbands $45 shot of blue label into a margarita then spent a lot of the time chatting with friends about how she was black out drunk the night before. So we tried really hard to like it here. I stopped in Thursday and the food and service was great. So I brought my husband back on Saturday. The food was still great. But the service was ridiculous! Our waiter took our drink order and then forgot about us. When he realized what happened he apologized and we figured it happens. But then he forgot our meals and silverware. It was awful. So then our friends wanted to try the restaurant tonight(Sunday) so we tried again. Again, great food but terrible service. Simple things are just not taken care of. And at the end they were supposed to split the tab between the two couples and charged our friends for their food but charged us for all four meals. It's a mess. I hope they get it together. I really wanted to love Oh Taco - the atmosphere is fun, the view is amazing and I think that alone makes it worth the visit. The food and margaritas were just fine though - nothing fantastic. The menu is creatively written and sounds delish, but our group tried most of the tacos on the menu and the consensus was that the meats (carnitas and chicken) were dry and the variety of fish tacos lacked a bit of flavor. The chips were very good and the salsas were fine (the verde needed a little something extra in the flavor department). We all left a bit hungry, which was disappointing considering what we spent on food and drinks. Note the menu was also a bit limited. While we didn't have kids with us, unless you have an adventurous eater, there are limited to no options for picky eaters. Service was great. I'm sure we'll be back, but it won't be at the top of my mind. * Update...have tried OH Taco again, much the same review, except service was not quite as good, and because of that, I'll add a few more comments. Why charge $.25 for pork rind topping? Just throw it in. I get it if the flavor is Michael Symon worthy, but really, I got scraps. I was looking to try something different as well and asked about the beef taco I saw advertised - only served on $1 taco night though. How does a taco joint not serve a beef taco?
