Amazing customer service. Great products for a great/competitive price. I am a pro chef and have owned a kosher catering company. This company is a great source for kosher candy for any event or candy just to snack on. I have made orders for both. They guarantee satisfaction and I received some candy that was subpar quality in that some pieces were defective. I emailed them to tell them with pics to prove and the immediately sent a replacement. Unfortunately, lately, it seems like ppl make such promises but then they don't follow through. This company follows through on its promises. Had to get some gifts for a party. The store is large and the staff where helpful and very friendly. The store has a amazing selection of nuts and candy. You can either make up your own selections or they have pre made selections already put together. I got a chocolate pretzel platter and a assorted nut platter. The store is amazing and even if you do not buy anything it is definitely worth coming and checking it out if you are in the area. I found the only draw back to Oh Nuts is the prices are high especially on the pre packed selections. I ordered products ($62) for Passover on 4/8 and received notice of that they had shipped (free) on 4/9. Clearly, the free shipping option involved being shipped, literally, across the country from NJ to Washington State with myriad stops in between before finally landing back in Illinois. It's now taking over a week from Illinois to Michigan and I STILL don't have my desserts, four days into the holiday. I e-mailed their customer service department last week and never heard back. Make it yourself or go somewhere else if you don't want stress! If you are shopping kosher items, you know what Pesach preparation means. Lots of work leading to a joyous holiday. I ordered goodies for the seder dessert for the first time ever. Oh Nuts had delectable looking items. It seemed like a win. I asked for it to be shipped to be RECEIVED by 3/31 with enough time to not worry. That was silly. Although their own email confirmed the receipt date, as of 3/30 I hadn't gotten a follow up email with tracking. I called and was assured it would be to me by Tuesday and would ship the next day (someone read it as asking it to be shipped on 3/31 even though none of their questions/confirmations ask about when to ship but when to receive). Take us to today. I am now writing this in between cooking my kugel and tzimmes. I called after seeing that the tracking says it will arrive by the end of day on Wednesday (like when 1st seder is)... The response was that their tracking said it will be at my house sometime between 145 and 545. It also was completely uninterested and the person I spoke with must be just heading somewhere as a guest because they could care less that I was stressed. I ordered over $60 dollars worth of Salt Water Taffy and Peanut brittle for a party from the Oh! Nuts: https://www.ohnuts.com/. When it arrived, all of the salt water taffy was ROCK hard and STALE, and the peanut brittle was crushed into small bits and powder. The entire order was inedible. By far the worse taffy I have ever tried. The entire party agreed, it was the worse batch of any type of treats they have ever tried. So, I tried to contact their customer support. And after many days and multiple inquires they said I had to send them photos of every bag so they could check the freshness. I did. Then they assured me that those batches, which I'm sure they never even checked, we're very fresh and soft at their store/warehouse. They then proceeded to tell me that I could re-package, take to the UPS, and PAY return shipping to have any unopened bags sent back to them for a possible refund after they examined everything. Are you kidding me?? Why should I have to pay for a return and shipping when their product was TERRIBLE!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE. I received an order of praline roll, rum balls, and a chocolate babka. The praline roll and rum balls were ok, nothing special. The real issue was the chocolate babka. Since there was no date on the packaging there's no way to tell when this piece of concrete was actually baked. I attempted to cut it with a knife. I couldn't make a dent. I picked up the whole thing and broke it over my knee. This thing was hard as a rock! There's no way anyone could actually eat it even if they wanted. I placed my order on September 8 th. I asked for it to be delivered in time for Rosh Hashanah. The order was going to Washington DC. It never left the USPS until yesterday morning. It still has not arrived as of Sunday September 20th. I find this unconscionable . I sent an order to Virginia which arrived timely because it was sent by Fed Ex. This store is seriously gorgeous. And it has sooo much candy. They have stuff you can pick yourself and bring home in a clear plastic bag, beautifully wrapped candy selections that would make lovely gifts, and your standard drug store wrapped candies. Lots of kosher options throughout the store, including peppermint boxes with Yiddish names only, which was fun to see. Great spot for observant Jewish customers and the rest of us too. The store is conveniently located in downtown Cedarhurst near many other stores. Great spot to stop into when shopping here, or when you need a particular candy. This was a candy wonderland, ruined by the rude girls behind the counter who let me wait five minutes before acknowledging my existence. They were too busy trashing their manager who was coming soon and they didn't want to see her. They initially ridiculed my 12 year old son and then continue to laugh about him after he moved away- heard by daughter in law. The dyed red head looked at me with total disgust when I said "excuse me". And the icing on the cake- she know I was upset with her, hid my items that I had left on the counter and denied it. Yet I watched her do it. The "acting manager"thought all this was funny and made light of it. He did nothing to address their rudeness and we left. This is the worst experience that I have had during any Passover in my lifetime Let me preface this by saying I have seldom had any issues with business people I ordered 6 cakes for Passover and paid for fed ex delivery in full in plenty of time. I had a Seder planned for 20 people and Friday my shipment came with 2 of my 6 cakes and they were completely destroyed, melted , upside down with no notation on the carton of this side up or fragile. NOR were there the other 4 cakes at all. Missing in action never sent!!! I called 2 times waited for 30 minutes and hung up and 40 minutes a second time no answer 3 rd time recorder saying closed This morning Monday I called got a person to talk to and they were unable to refund me my total purchase they still wanted payment for the 2 cakes they came destroyed even with my pictures sent and told me I had to wait till the managers came back from their time off to enjoy Passover with their friends and family.
