Walked in & with every customer that walked in (including myself) it seemed as if we all just wanted to browse first. As we're browsing, instead of an employee greeting the customers he would just keep saying "you have to come to this side of the store to order gelato" I did notice a couple of people walk out after that. I was interested in their coffee menu, which had names & illustrations making them look more like dessert coffees - but no description. As I'm standing on the side for gelato orders, I'm once again told where to stand for gelato orders before another employee turns around, sees me and it seemed like was was trying to avoid me. I asked about the coffee drinks and was given just basic descriptions like he couldn't be bothered and was trying to get it over with. Which was unfortunate because that's when I decided to say "thank you have a nice day" and walked out. Their coffee menu was pretty decently priced too. I hope this place never goes away. The hot chocolate was amazing from here. Absolutely amazing. I then came back so my son could try their gelato. The girl warned me lots of kids don't like it because I guess it's not milk chocolate? I guess it's sort of fancy? I said no fear my son loves any kind of chocolate lol. Went to this location for the first time. Customer service was okay, the server was nice and he let me try different flavors before I order, but the cashier lady was okay. I forgot to scan my reward card so I asked if she could apply the points, however, she seemed she didn't want to do it as she needed to refund me first. When I went to other locations, their customer service was great so I was little not happy with it. Although, their gelato tasted amazing so I'll come back. read more

This is the 3rd attempt at trying to purchase something from this location. Every time I have tried I am either ignored or treated very poorly by their staff. Today 5/11/26 at 5:20PM I walking in once again and I walked over to the counter to look at the flavors to make my decision. Immediately after this gentlemen goes to the register and started asking me questions such as what size I needed. Do I need different flavors do I need anything else is ready to charge me and I said do you mind if I look at the flavors first so I can decide he said you'd have to pay first. I asked I have to pay before even choosing what I would like? She said yes before you even start trying or looking at any flavors you have to pay, but I have not asked for a tasting. I was just taking a minute to look at what was left and decide what I would like. He was very disrespectful. I work in customer service and I would never treat anyone that way let alone a customer. I want to write reviews, but when this is the third time of something similar happening in this location, I feel like this is a bigger issue. My daughter and I were looking for a treat and came across Venchi here at Roosevelt Field. We've been to other locations in Manhattan and the gelato here was just as good and didn't disappoint. You can sample a flavor before you buy a cup or cone. You can also chocolate bars as well as chocolate pieces from the counter. It was so good! We'll be back! read more

Gelato has finally come to Roosevelt Field! I have been waiting for Venchi to open up ever since I saw their sign! I was able to sample their Mango & Passion Fruit and Pistachio gelatos. Both were good but the Mango & Passion Fruit was more refreshing for a hot summer day. The Venchi chocolate coin was a nice touch and a good way to sample one of their chocolates for a future purchase. Venchi also offers a rewards program where you can get 15% off your purchases and a free mini chocolate bar. The QR code is available at the front register if you want to sign up. read more

The employee was unprofessional. He refused to let us sample flavors before we ordered and, even after we placed our order, he ignored us to help the next customer. Finally when they decided to help us they gave us a different cone than what we ordered and already paid for. We will not be returning. read more

Manager was friendly and informative. A line for Gelato, a variety of cones, great but expensive, particularly the chocolate covered orange peels. We kept seeing this gelato place on social media and are always looking for a good gelato place, finally made it here for a random Sunday afternoon visit and so glad we did! I am a pistachio fanatic and found the best pistachio chocolates, their pistachio gourmet has pistachio as the 1st ingredient! Finally! The bar is as delicious and sadly enjoyed all in 1 day even though I meant for it to last. Their pistachio chocolate truffles are delicious as well! And ofcourse I had to give the pistachio gelato a taste, absolutely fantastic! I think this will be a stop on every mall visit from now on, if only for that pistachio gourmet classic bar. Worth the price! The staff is fantastic, friendly and super helpful. The store is well lit and beautifully displayed and organized with their chocolate offerings. 10/10 easy! read more

Venchi, what can I say exceptional delicious gelato!!! I was passing by the shop in Roosevelt Field and I was so glad that T popped in. So many chocolate treats I could not decide. Eduardo was so patient and helpful in assisting me with my purchases. I was so pleased to get sugar free chocolate for my mother in-law and something yummy for my father in-law. My personal treat and favorite was the gelato flavors and i truly love the fact that you can transport them home in those wonderful containers that keeps the gelato in perfect condition for as least 1hr.
