One of my fave froyo spots. They have rotating flavors and it's all self serve. Grab a bowl from the back table and choose away on the handles. There's a topping station that's loaded with all my faves - the fresh fruit, brownie bites, mochi. There are cute walls to take a picture by, or to use as a background for your froyo pictures. One is a bit more hidden which I didn't see at first, but it's all the way in the back, the wall to the right (to the left of the froyo handles). 3 small tables and a row of seating and mini tables to enjoy your froyo. I've been to 16 handles a few times. They have Vegan frozen yogurt options which I appreciate very much because it's nice to be vegan and have a dairy free ice cream option. It's self serve like many frozen yogurt places now, you fill your cup and choose your toppings. I always get way too many toppings even as a vegan so my yogurt costs me a lot of money when I get it. Location has definitely grown in this community to be frequented by many. Updating my review to add extra stars to show appreciation for the locations staff that evening 1.20.21 standing their ground strong with a patron not properly wearing a face mask/covering as they walked in and attempted to browse topping area, which mind you was very clean, neat and properly stocked. Young lady pleasantly acknowledged the man and reminded him that entry to the facility was for mask wearing customers. He wasn't too fast to put mask on, so employee repeated 'Sir we are in the middle of a nationwide pandemic [COVID19 ~2020], please raise your facial covering to proceed further'. The fella mumbled something like 'yah the pandemic...everyone is wearing face masks'. The young lady said 'that's correct sir', and it was a few more steps before he turned around to leave. During times like this it's hard enough for small businesses to thrive, but to jeopardize the safety of the staff and other patrons just can't be. Congratulations to the young employee for following policy and procedures and being vocally strong, in a respectful manner to stand up to an clearly older man, that knew better. Other than this refreshing, breathtaking moment in time, I do want to also update everyone that the new Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Batter flavor is very pleasant and paired nicely with their Salted Caramel and even their Red Velvet. A nice post workout dinner treat, that took me 2 days to finish...moderation folks...We have to assure not to negate the calorie burn and muscle sculpting. Happy to see Oatly, but the vanilla (which I've had and loved elsewhere) had a lemon taste to it. Chocolate Oatly was great. The underneath part of the handles to both looked pretty disgusting though. :( makes me hope the inside of the machine was clean! Staff were fine, greeted us and did their job, not overly friendly but fine (young and probably their first job). Cute vibe with the lighting and murals. The first store I was at was near Albany I loved it because of the Oat milk dairy free. Was very happy when I found this store in lynbrook. First time was great. But I've been there 5 more times and in 3 of those times there was no oat milk It is very disappointing and I doubt I'll be making the trip any longer. Something is wrong if you aren't able to keep Vanilla in stock. Makes no sense to me. I'll be looking elsewhere. Too bad because we really enjoyed it. It's like going to a restaurant and expecting to order your favorite and 3 out of 5 times they say they are out of it. Time to find a new restaurant read more

They have black and white cookies (What?!?), fruit, candy like gummy worms and gummy bears, and so much more. They also have a cute seating area, with many colors and decorations. Really good. They let you taste test the flavors, so you can determine which ones you want. I mixed the birthday cake and Tahiti vanilla bean. With all the trendy fro-yo shops out there, 16 Handles is by far my favorite. I love the variety of flavors, toppings and sizes they offer. At the Lynbrook location, there is always a fro-yo barista standing by the flavor bar offering up samples if wanted. I like trying the new flavors, but I always tend to lean towards my two favs, Euro Tart and Pomegranate Raspberry Sorbet. Then the best part! Toppings!!!!! They have everything from fresh fruit to cheesecake bites. I just love looking at the selections wishing I could put everything on my cup and I could if I wanted, but I want to stay a little within my Weight Watchers points for the day! The shop is always super clean and sparkly and there are cute little tables to sit at. It is Kosher which seems to be a big draw! The price is determined by the weight of the fro-yo and toppings so if you have a heavy hand, it could be a $20 treat. 16 Handles def. has a handle on me! read more

Extremely rude young girl working at 16 handles in lynbrook on Atlantic ave tonight. Slamming chairs together while there were customers inside eating. It was 10:39pm but they close at 11pm. She also gave us attitude while we are the customers. We came into the store and waited upfront with no cashier in sight. We called out a few times for someone to ring us up and nobody was around. The owner shouldn't allow young kids like that to run a business. This girl claimed she was the manager and was very disrespectful the way she was speaking to us in that fashion in front of other customers. Absolutely unacceptable and we will never be coming back there. They lost 5 loyal customers . Shame on you read more

I consider myself a fro-yo fan, but this was my least favorite chain. None of the flavors appealed to me whatsoever. I tried numerous flavors here and each one tasted worse than the last. I ended up getting more toppings than actual frozen yogurt. The only redeeming factor is the super bright, modern decor. Otherwise, it's not for me. read more

Just left 16 handles. The employees are super nice. This was my first time going to a frozen yogurt spot other than Red Mango. They had a variety of flavors. I recommend the salted caramel but by itself. I have the Thai Vanilla bean, sprinkles (I think that's what it's called ) with brownies and crushed waffle cone. Delicious! Don't go here if you have any allergies. Almost all of the flavors contain tree nuts and I'm sure that the ones that are not supposed to contain nuts are contaminated. Unlike the vastly overrated Pinkberry and Red Mango (which always felt a little stuck-up and pretentious to me), 16 Handles has absolutely delicious frozen yogurt that makes you forget that you are eating something that is not ice cream. There's definitely no "healthy" or imitation taste to these scrumptious fro-yo. The place itself is very clean and spacious with a bright and cheery vibe. It's super cute, with it's bright green ceilings, funky wallpaper, and colorful chairs. There are a ton of comfy seats; much more so than the 16 Handles in the East Village. You definitely won't feel cramped in this place (unless you ate so much fro yo that eventually you feel cramped EVERYWHERE). My bf and I could have lounged in here for a good while, eating our frozen treats and enjoying the fun atmosphere. The girls working there were very friendly and attentive. When my bf and I walked in to check this place out, they immediately greeted us and offered us samples. They were so nice. This place is self serve, so you can decide how much fro yo and toppings you can cram in your giant biodegradable cup. There are many unique and delicious flavors (such as Coconut Custard, Irish Cream, and Salted Caramel) as well as a great variety of dry toppings, fruits, and syrups to give your dessert that extra kick. My bf and I shared a big serving of delish pomegranate tart with various candy toppings and the most awesome strawberry bursters (tiny balls that burst strawberry flavor in your mouth). I'm not sure how much they charge by ounce, but we've only paid $3.83 for a good amount of frozen yogurt that left us both comfortably satiated. We could have easily paid twice that in Red Mango. It's pretty cheap. 1oz is 49cents. We will definitely come back and next time I am getting a rewards card (1 point for every $1 spent, 50 points=$5 reward). read more

I drive all the way from Merrick to lynbrook for frozen yogurt because Merrick just doesn't do it for me like 16 handles does. This location is great. Great staff, clean and they always please me with great flavors and toppings There's this kind kind young boy that works at the front desk. It's truly people who are respectful that make me want to go back. I wish I had his name to compliment his incredible work ethic, but hope someone commences him for his hard work and great attitude towards his customers. I love their cinnamon rice pudding. They've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it has a great cinnamon flavor! I also love their coffee flavor. It's strong coffee flavor is so refreshing, but do keep in mind that it does have caffeine! So don't have it as a late night sleep unless you plan on pulling an all nighter! So i was skeptical at first trying out frozen yogurt, but after walking into this establishment and being overcome but the awesome feel and cleanliness of the place i was more then happy to try out the yogurt and see what it was all about. The staff is super friendly and you can have all the free samples you want. They charge 55 cent per ounce not by the cup so you can always come in one day and if you feel like having a little less or more one day its A ok. All of the toppings are fresh and are always very clean around the section with nothing mixed. Which is a very good thing. Another good note they have a reward program here as well, which offers you 5 dollars for ever 50points earned 1 dollar for 1 point ( you get 25points for signing up online). Its a really nice place to get yogurt with lots of room to sit and relax, plus an outside area as well. read more

Unlike TCBY the employees don't care about what you want. They will not help you unless you ask for help. I know this is a little of topic of froyo but places like Buddhism Popcorn are not kind at all 16 Handles has great service and great people working there all these place like TCBY will go down because of what they do to customers and 16 Handles will just rise up. I really like this place. There's a good mix of flavors and every topping I could think of. I go here about once a week. The staff is friendly and helpful. They will sometimes comment about what a good job I did making my dessert. That's always nice. I like it more when there aren't huge throngs of teenagers, or worse yet, kids under ten with parents. I am not a big frozen yogurt but this place is actually pretty good. The reason I don't love fro yo is because there is usually an after taste and here there is no issue. This place is super clean with a friendly staff. They let you sample the flavors before you purchase them, then you get to mix and match any flavor you want and as much of it a you want because this is self serve frozen yogurt. Then you go to another station where a variety of toppings and sauces are and you can go crazy. Move forward and a a member of the staff will weigh your creation and then eat away! read more
