I have heard so much about Oh K-Dog and I was dying to try out. Firstly, there's more to the menu than the K-Dogs themselves. There's definitely an array of variations to choose from and a few sauces to complement it. They also serve toasted sandwiches that are great for every hour of the day. They also have an ever favorite Tteokbokki which I had been missing for a while. The place was clean however I was disappointed about the plants. It's either have it, or don't. It shows how much effort was placed about the plants and it makes me wonder how much effort was placed into my food. I'm sure they take care of the kitchen well since it's the means the business. The dying plants sends off the wrong vibe and definitely not aesthetically pleasing especially in the current growth in social media platforms looking for that IG worthy shot. The service was great. I was there long enough to really have the time to eat my food fresh. I would definitely recommend dining in than take out though. There's nothing like eating food when it's piping hot.

This place is not OK. Unclean and staff preoccupied with phones. The tables are dirty, napkin dispensers empty, garbage cans full, sauce bottles sticky and the only toilet in the place was overflowing into the dining room. I thought I was getting a corn dog with cheese and sweet potato topping, but I actually just got a cheese stick covered in a very thick layer of batter, rolled in potato chunks and overcooked because the cook was on his phone. Tasted pretty awful too. Never going back.
I came back to try the tteokkbokki, and it was pretty good! Rice cakes were cooked perfectly, sauce is on point, and there were fish cakes and a boiled egg, which were nice touches. Personally, I could also go for a bit of mozzarella cheese melted on top, but this was pretty solid. And the portion is bigger than I expected! The rice cake corn dog, which I got rolled in cinnamon sugar, was a nice dessert treat. It reminded me of a churro with a chewy center. The only problem was that the rice cake is huge and kinda bland, and since there were no dessert sauce options, I didn't have anything to dip it in. If I got this again, I would do a savory version with extra sauce on the side so I could dip as I ate.
This was on my daughter's "had to have" birthday list, so we went for a drive to New Haven to check it out. Cute place with people in and out so definitely seemed popular. Could order from the computer or from a person. I opted for the human. The menu is extensive with a lot of options. Both my daughter and her friend chose the potato mozzarella (no dog). They loved it! Success! I had a bite because it was just an appetizer for our New Haven foodie trip... it would have filled me up. It was heavy for sure but delicious, flavorful, cheesy like it should be. I would go back to try something with a hot dog and maybe sweet potato because why not?!? It looked great!
I would add this for dog to my list of "foods that make you go mmmmmmm". I ordered the classic hot dog corn dog. The crunch is satisfying and it isn't salty in the way that most corn dogs are. If you are a lady, please give up the desire to very demure and ladylike because I don't think there is a ladylike way to eat a corn dog. lol I just tried to avoid eye contact as I crunched this thing... lol. It is "girthy" for lack of a better word and the center stick is definitely pretty substantial ... so no risk of eating any splintered popsicle stick wood or anything. Definitely would be back to try the mozz dog!
I drove 50 min to try their Egg toast and it was so worth it! I ordered the Bacon & Cheese Egg with Garlic toast. The garlic toast is a must for this sandwich, eggs were fluffy, airy and light. The sauce they drizzle on top is some sort of sweet sauce, reminded me of condensed milk almost but not as sweet and thick. I would def recommend you try their egg toast sandwiches, this not your basic egg sandwich, it taste delicious! Chef's Kiss! You won't regret it! Also for the Korean corn dogs, you can never go wrong with a Korean corn dog. I ordered half mozz and half sausage You must order the one with mozzarella to have the full on experience of the cheese pull! Check them out! I wish they had a location closer to Manchester.
This place is such a great place to get some grab and go food. It's basically like eating a large mozzarella stick and or corn dog but way way better. The mango slushy complimented the food. Having the ketchup with the food was so delicious. I would have thought to eat here if I didn't see it for myself. The staff is super friendly. I give kudos to a special staff member gal at the register who took my order that I hope when she reads this her manger should give her a raise ;) her recommendations of the food and how she handles customers with her charm is all qualities that will make you come back for more and to tell your friends about your experience. Put this on your must go eat list while in New Haven. If I could give more than 5 I would. Yelpers you must come.

Small, casual, counter service spot that serves up trendy Korean-style corndogs & egg toast. The hotdogs in the corndogs are low quality, but they are covered in a very tasty and crunchy rice cracker instead of the traditional breeding. They have a few different corndog varieties, many of which have other things in place of the hotdog The egg toasts are just as they sound, very fluffy bread that is stuffed with eggs. These also come in a wide variety of flavors, but I stuck with the traditional ham & eggs. I also got my toast covered in garlic for an additional cost The place itself has a few tables and a few counter seats overlooking the street, but there are not nearly enough seats for how popular the place is. To counteract this problem the place has an efficient system for wrapping their corndogs & egg toasts to go Also have a few Korean chips/snacks I got their traditional corndog & egg toast and they were both pretty tasty. Nothing to write home about, but they were both interesting new flavors. I am not dying to come back here, but I am glad that I tried it out. The downside was that it took a solid 10/15 minutes for my food to be made. This was surprising given how limited and simple the menu is 7
My husband and I tried this place last week and it was great. The k-dogs were tasty, kind of wish that they would just have more creative variety but it's more of few classics. Egg toast sandwich was okay, I guess that it just depends on what you like. This one is about more sweet rather than savory. Overall a great place to come a have a quick bite.
Reallly wanted to like it but the jot dog didn't taste like a good quality beef dog. And it wasn't as good as others ive had in other places. Inside of restaurant was partially used for storage. Felt sticky inside. Not inviting to eat in. On positive note, the eggs were cooked perfectly. And I was eye witness to good handwashing! read more

Seems to be a pretty popular place so far, it was pretty busy when I showed at about 5ish on a Tuesday. You place your order at the register then you can either hop in line to the left or just wait to hear your number called. My friend and I ordered the sweet potato and mozzarella, not realizing there was no dog in it, we kept biting into the crunchy, cinnamon dusted dough only to find mozzarella until we realized our mistake . Either way we still enjoyed it, reminded me of carnival food. It was too doughy for me and needed a salty component perhaps the dog lol I also wish I realized they sold half dogs. The experience was lacking due to my lack of attention I will definitely be back more attentive next time lol read more
Was inspired to try due to all the buzz on TikTok. I wasn't sure what to expect but couldn't have been more impressed with the customer service! The cashier explained the entire menu, what's most popular, and had tons of recommendations. A bit expensive for a dog, but couldn't help to try a few! Yay for a Korean street food restaurant in New Haven! Awesome spot in NHV with a menu consisting of Korean hot dogs, Korean egg sandwiches, and tteokbokki. My friend and I ordered a few selections from the menu. The hot dogs are great! Very reminiscent of Korea. Some may say the meat in it is low quality, but that's what it's like in Korea. Their options, toppings, and additions are all options that one would see in Korea. Don't miss the sauce/topping station at the side of the store! Egg sandwich was great as well. - very thicccc and super fluffy and soft Tteokbokki was okay - As a Korean, I felt it was missing something. Pricing is decent. Staff are nice (but the cashier talks SO fast...) Place is quite busy most hours any day of the week. read more

Yummmm! My friend suggested this spot in downtown New Haven and it was absolutely delicious! I was torn because the entire menu looked delectable and the kind cashier gave me a wonderful recommendation by sharing the most popular dogs. I got the Half Dog Half Mozz - best of both worlds! The cheese was fantastically gooey and delicious and the batter was tasty. I'm honestly surprised by how quiet this place was. My friend and I were able to sit and enjoy our dogs (which came out quickly!) and chat in between bites. I'll definitely make another trip to try the egg toast on their menu! read more
I've been wanting to try Korean corndogs ever since they went viral on TikTok last year. I was so happy to hear that Oh K-Dog opened up in New Haven as I wasn't really interested in traveling all the way to the city to try them as they have a lot of Korean corndog places there. My dad stopped by about a week or so ago and brought one over for me. He got me a Sweet Thai Chili one with a little sugar on top. It was SO good. It had such good flavor and was so crispy on the outside. I can't wait to try out other flavors!! Definitely go check this place out! read more

I've been dying to give this place a shot and finally got the chance today! It's very busy, and even though I think the restuarant is fairly large it was packed! However, it didnt take very long to receive my food and the staff seemed very nice. My hotdog was super good, the outside was super crunchy and the inside was gooey. The rice batter is just absolutely next level. Can't wait to come back and try the sweet potato coating. read more

What a fun little spot! Been wanting to check of the Korean corn dogs for a while and was excited to see this place pop up in New Haven. I got a #4 (cheddar dog) with the #1 sauces and it was super good. I tried to keep it as light as I could considering I was having dinner a few hours later but you can add potato/sweet potato and also sugar options as well.... Maybe next time. The guy at the front was so helpful and patient. I'd love to come back and try the egg toast! read more
Randomly found this spot before a show at College Street and I will definitely be back. The menu seemed confusing at first since this is a new concept to me but it's all broken down with pictures and info to make it an easy decision, plus the staff was happy to help me get my order right. I got the half mozz and half hot dog with fries fried onto the dog and I was amazed at all of the flavors working so well together. It's hard to find Korean hot dogs in Connecticut so having one in New Haven is already a plus. I came here right before there was a rush (it was already busy) and the line went past outside once I finished ordering, so be prepared to wait for an extensive amount at certain times. I tried their sweet potato and squid half and half and their both were very tasty. Right amount of crunch and chewiness. Sauces complement well to it and very good all around. They were handing out free K-pop albums that day as well so that's extremely nice of the business to do that. read more
Oh-K-Dog needs to open a location in Hartford Country! I CRAVE this place weekly after trying it for the first time when it first opened. Oh-K-Dog is a cute little Korean corn dog shop located in New Haven. It is bright inside, clean, and worth the drive if you're not from this area! I ADORE the corn dogs. My go to is the cheddar hot dog rolled in sugar. That's right - sugar. Trust me, it is SO good. My partner got his dog coated in potatoes and tried the squid ink dog as well! He enjoyed those so much and OH MY, that cheese pull is everything! There is a sauce station where you can add different powders and sauces such as cheese mustard, Thai chili, etc. The options are endless! As much as I love the corn dogs, the egg toasts are the winners for me here! The egg is fluffy, the bread is sweet and soft, with a generous amount of kewpie mayo on top! I highly recommend the bacon toast and the chicken teriyaki! Also, you have to get the grape slush! It's refreshing and a nice cold treat for when you're exploring around New Haven! I highly recommend this location and hope you can try it out. I appreciate how clean it is and how yummy the food is! 10/10 cannot wait to come back already....will probably be back this week! read more
Great new addition to New Haven. I haven't had Korean corn dogs since living in Manhattan, and I still prefer them over classic American corn dogs. My favorite is the Sweet Potato Dog, which is embedded with chunks of deep fried sweet potato. The Rice Cake Dog is also a honorable mention, mainly because I appreciated trying a different filling other than a hot dog or melted cheese, though it is much more filling. The Classic Egg Toast is also worth trying out. The bread is thick-cut, while the eggs inside are surprisingly sweet and buttery. Each corndog could also be topped with ketchup, mustard, chili sauce, and more. read more

New Haven is just full of so many culinary delights and I am so glad Oh K dog has opened up a location here! I've been to the one in the LES and have to say I prefer this one as it's bigger and there's indoor seating. Staff here was super friendly and apologetic when the wait time was long but it was so worth it! I chose to get a half beef hot dog and half cheese with no potato topping as it's fairly heavy. They have a sauce and topping station off to the side that you can go crazy with but definitely get the honey butter topping! Bathroom was clean and unisex. Can't wait to go back! As my boyfriend says, this dog is not just ok, it's great!! read more
IM IN LOVE! Corn dogs are one of my favorite foods, and this hit the spot! You go up to the cashier to order and they'll ring out your order number when it's ready. Once you get your corn dog, you can take it to the sauce station to load up your dog which has ketchup, mustard, honey mustard, sweet chili, and cheese mustard. I believe you can also do an online order and just go to pick up. I believe these corn dogs are made with a combination of rice flour and it makes them extra crunchy. I ordered the potato dog #9. It was perfectly crisp, and the inside was soft. I was hesitant about getting it rolled in sugar, but it really added to the full profile instead. I also tried a bite of the cheddar dog #4 and it was good, but I liked the potato on the outside more. Honestly a 10/10 in my opinion. I will definitely be back to try more! read more

Heard this new place was opening up - had been waiting for a good Korean corn dog place to pop up (most found around big cities but none in CT). Came during the weekday and it was still bustling and packed!! Luckily the queue went by quick but the orders did take some time to come out (I noticed they had only a few workers who were handling all of the customers). The restaurant has both standing table/bar area, and sit down tables though only a few tables (4 tables) that quickly fill up bc of how busy they get. If you are not familiar with Korean corn dogs, they are not your typical corn dogs from your local fair. They offer a variety of menu option - none of which you will get a regular hot dog sausage with. You can pick your choice of cheese filling, sausage, half sausage half cheese, etc. Then there is a many different breading types - potato, regular, sweet potato or squid ink. After you can choose the toppings - sugar or regular. They have a little sauce bar in the back (sometimes if you get lucky, they will offer a selection of Kpop albums for free (I'm guessing a local patron had given away some of their treasures)). We chose to go with the potato mozzarella dog, the regular rice cake dog, and a squid ink sausage dog. We also decided to try the ham and cheese toast sandwich and 2 slushees - lemonade and peach. I loved my mozzarella cheese corn dog - when it came out fresh, it was delicious and soft and crunchy. Imagine the cheese pulls! The ricecake I would skip bc it is just a rice cake that had been wrapped in bread - very carb loaded. The squid ink dog tasted like a regular corn dog, the squid ink could be barely tasted or noticeable. The hand egg and cheese sandwich was delicious - it reminds me on the cheese and ham McMuffin from McDonald's but ten times better and bigger. The bread the sandwich it comes with is thick and soft, and a little sweet. The slushees were very very sweet - if you enjoy that, they are great! Otherwise I would be aware. Personally the peach slushee tastes exactly like a peach ring candy in drink form, and the lemonade like the lemons head candies. I did notice that if you wait to eat your corndogs, they might not taste as great bc the corndogs will not be as soft or crunchy, but instead hardened. We tried warming one up in our air fryer and it dried it out worse - tho the taste remained the same! The portions are huge as well, but can be a quick bite to-go if you are in a hurry! Oh ok Dog!!! You got me with this one. So I had to get another on (Dj Khalid voice). This fried delight oh my god what a yummy bite. Added to the taste was the sweet chili sauce with some onion powder. That took things to another level of perfection. We then tried the ham egg & cheese on garlic toast. When I say bomb it was more like crispy garlic butter heaven. With some special mayo to keep it up a notch. If you never had a Korean hot dog good lord hurry down & try one. read more
