Fries come with the wings
Jason P.

You would be excused for thinking that BB.Q Chicken is an American style BBQ restaurant specializing in chicken. In fact, however, the BB.Q stands for "best of the best" quality and they specialize in Korean Fried Chicken. Inside has sort of a Pop Art vibe. There's plenty of comfortable seating. You order at the counter and then they bring your food when it's ready. Service was friendly. If you've never had Korean Fried Chicken, you're in for a treat. They have bone in pieces, wings and boneless nuggets. The chicken is hand-battered and slow fried to give it that thick, extra crispy texture. They have many cool sauce options. Many of them are sweet and spicy, but with different flavor profiles. Try Galbi, Gang-Jeong, and Honey Soy Garlic. The Kimchi Fried Rice was good. It was topped with a fried egg with a runny yolk. The dish had a little bit of a good sour flavor from the acidity. 4.5 Stars

I usually go to Bonchon but I was in the mood to try someplace new and a friend recommended bb.q. The place is casual with an eclectic funky design. I liked it. The two people working there were both really friendly and helpful since I was new to their menu. I decided to try the boneless Galbi fried chicken.... a little spicy, smoky flavored sauce. Chicken comes on top of crispy french fries with a side of pickled radish. Everything was really tasty. Definitely going back to try other flavors.

The food is always top tier, and the food always comes out piping hot and super quickly as well! Every time I go downtown I have to get their chicken!

I'd go back! The ambiance was fine. I really loved the frog stickers they put on the water jugs. Love frogs! They are so cute. I also liked the service and the food. I liked the pickled radish a lot. I also liked the boneless wings and special sauce. Galbi sauce wasn't as good but still fine!

Friendly staff (cashier/server), very attentive and creates a warm atmosphere. Been to a couple of bb.q chicken and it the chicken didn't compare to some of the other locations, nonetheless, still a solid establishment and place to get Korean fried chicken whenever you're craving it or in the area.

bb.q Signature Rice Bowl

bb.q Chicken is one of those places I visit a few times a year when I get cravings for it. Today was one of those days. I've probably tried all of their chicken flavors at this point, so I decided to try the signature rice bowl this time, and I'm SO glad I did. The chicken flavor in this bowl was delicious and exceeded my expectations, and I loved the flavor combination with the onions under the egg and the sauces on top. I find that a lot of their chicken is too sweet, but this bowl had a great balance.

3 things about this restaurant: 1. The atmosphere is great. As a Korean, I feel like I'm back in my country because of this environment once you step inside the place. 2. The chickens are extremely crispy on the outside and extremely juicy inside. The chickens are cooked perfectly and I praise them for that. I wish they gave more sauces on the chicken and that's the only downside for this place. 3. Price doesn't get better than this. Bringing a Korean chicken franchise to the US with this price doesn't get better. Some might think the price is high but if you think about it, this is a popular chain in Korea and to have this in tri-state is amazing. Price is really similar to Korea. Overall, I have been coming back to this place and the owner is extremely nice. Very friendly and nice person to have a conversation with. Side street parking is available as well. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

We first came upon bb.q chicken in NYC's Koreatown and have been on the prowl for it since. So we were happy to see a franchise open on Thayer Street in Providence and sped up I-95 to get our fix! I swear, they must put crack in their classic original fried chicken wings cuz I can't get enough of it. We fell upon it as if famished and they were half-gone before I remembered that I should take a picture. We tried other flavors like the galbi-flavored and Gangnam-style wings, and while also good, that original though ... mmm, so crispy, hot, tender ... Get some - get some now - you won't regret it!

Went to lunch to pickup and the service was fast. The honey chicken is really good. The interior is not that big so more of a pickup place.

I was actually surprised by how empty/unbusy it was. This is one of their smaller locations, but that didn't bother me since I was grabbing my food to go. The tendies had a nice crispy breading and the chicken was juicy. I went with the Hot seasoning level and thought the heat was just right, definitely spicy, but still enjoyable and flavorful. I also got a banana pudding for my daughter since she loves it. Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely consider stopping back in the future.

In the post, I clearly explained that we were expecting approximately 80-100 guests and that guests would be responsible for purchasing their own food. Amanda from Haven Hot Chicken's food truck reached out to me directly. She provided information about their food truck, confirmed that they were available on September 5, and specifically told me that we would not need to pay a deposit to reserve them. Based on that brief email conversation and a phone call, we considered the food truck booked for our event and planned accordingly. Unfortunately, Haven Hot Chicken never showed up to our event. We had no advance notice that they weren't coming, and we were left scrambling to deal with the situation while hosting our event. When I contacted the company during our event, I was told that Amanda no longer worked for the company, that she had apparently never entered our event into their booking system, and that there was no record of our conversation or the booking. While I understand that employees leave and that mistakes can happen, this was a significant failure in communication and event coordination. We had made plans based on the commitment we received from Haven Hot Chicken, and their failure to properly document the booking left us without the food service we had arranged for our guests. I would strongly recommend getting written confirmation directly from management and verifying that your event is actually on their schedule before relying on Haven Hot Chicken's food truck for an important event. We were extremely frustrated and disappointed by how this was handled, particularly because there was no communication from the company that they would not be attending.

If you enjoy the flavors of Indian food as well as one of those quick service, hot chicken restaurants you probably would enjoy Hot Murga. The chicken sandwich comes in five spice levels from no heat to super hot. I got the standard hot, and it has some kick, but it wasn't overpowering. Then again I enjoy spicy food. I also ordered their spiced mac & cheese. Again, not spicy at all, but flavorful. Also a good portion as I have leftovers for later. I had my food delivered, but this establishment is close to the Yale campus and street parking can be a bit tricky on Howe St. and around Broadway. I've been inside of the space once when it was a different restaurant some years ago, it's not a large space, but I'm pretty sure comfortable if you decided to dine in. If you ever find yourselves at a crossroad between wanting Chick-fil-A and Indian food, this would be a great alternative.

Honestly, I didn't think the Murga Sandwich itself had too much flavor - the fry was good and the chicken was juicy & crispy, it was just a lacking seasoning and even "hot" was not super spicy. The spice itself also tasted very one dimensional - just spicy, with no seasoning. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the sandwich itself, but would be interested in trying some of their other sauces. The Badmaash Mac & Cheese was the redeeming item of the meal though - this is basically a Mac & Cheese, covered in tikka sauce & their spicy sauce, and topped with fried chicken. It's definitely a unique flavor, and I think the tikka masala sauce went really well with the cheesy mac texture. Definitely seems like the kind of late night out comfort craving, because it is super heavy. p.s. - pro tip, the sandwich itself is $12 but the sliders are $6 and definitely larger than half of a sandwich (probably closer to 2/3rds). So I'd get 2 sliders for $12 instead of a sandwich.

I called the owner and he will make it right for my next visit. Those items I will have to review at a later date because everything tasted so sweet from the yam juice. Could not salvage those sides. Now let's talk egg rolls please. Those egg roll are AMAZING. I got a buffalo egg roll, steak and cheese, and hamburger egg roll. Each and every one was FANTASTIC. Get those. The wings were great. The taste was amazing on both flavors . I chose the buffalo and BBQ wet flavor. I really like the fact the wings were not the size of mini turkey wings. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. I ordered a chicken sandwich and an order of loaded fries topped with chicken bites around 5:30 p.m. At the time, there were only two orders ahead of mine, so I expected a fairly quick wait. As the minutes turned into an hour, I started to get concerned. Around 6:30 p.m., I asked about my order and was told they were still working on it. Meanwhile, I watched multiple customers who had ordered after me receive their food and leave. By around 7:15 p.m., the employee who had originally taken my order noticed I was still waiting and asked if I had received my food. When I told her I hadn't, it took another 10 minutes before my order was finally brought out. By then, I was already late for another commitment and had to take most of my meal to go. The long wait might have been forgivable if the food had been worth it, but it wasn't. Everything was cold. The chicken sandwich was not only cold but also undercooked. The loaded fries were disappointing as well--the fries themselves were barely edible, the cheese sauce was cold, and the chicken on top was cold too. After waiting nearly an hour and a half, receiving food in that condition was incredibly frustrating. The following morning, I left a review, and management responded. I appreciated that they acknowledged my feedback, but the response was little more than a brief apology stating they strive for excellence and thanking me for bringing the issue to their attention. Given the severity of the experience an excessive wait, cold food, and undercooked chickenI expected more than a generic two-sentence reply. A refund, an offer to remake the meal, or even a gift card to give the restaurant another chance would have shown they genuinely cared about making things right. I understand that restaurants have bad days. Looking back, I probably should have been more assertive and spoken with a manager before leaving, but I was already late and didn't have the time. My hope is that this was an isolated experience and not representative of every Dave's Hot Chicken location. Unfortunately, based on this visit and the lack of meaningful follow-up, I have no desire to return. When a customer waits nearly 90 minutes and is served cold, undercooked food, the appropriate response is to make it right not simply apologize and move on.

I was in New Haven with some friends and came here around 6PM on a Monday. The restaurant itself has a really cool look inside, between the non white walls and the neon signs, it's a great environment to devour some pizza in. It's been a year or so since I've last had Detroit style pizza so I was super stoked to order a vegan cheese and split it with my wife. The pizza came out piping hot and seemed to be made specifically for me. The dough was cooked well but still doughy, the sauce was sweet and tasty, and the daiya cheese it was covered in was great as well. I ended up eating half of the pizza in front of me and it's definitely easily become one of my favoruite pizza spots in the city. Overall, Bobbi's was a fantastic dinner spot and one of my new favourite places in all of Connecticut. The staff here went above and beyond, the place looked great, and the pizza here was absolutely delicious. I will absolutely be coming back here the next time I'm in the nutmeg state.

My kids and I visited for a Yelp event and decided to try a few other menu items. We ordered the cheese pizza, made with red sauce, brick cheese, cheddar, and Pecorino Romano; the Huey, topped with red sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and crispy bacon; Orange Honey Sriracha wings; and Fruity Pebbles Cheesecake, baked in a Detroit-style pan and topped with banana milk frosting and Fruity Pebbles. The cheese pizza was really good, with all the cheeses coming through nicely. It had crispy edges and was enjoyable all around. The Huey was good, too, though the sausage wasn't quite to my taste; it reminded me of imitation sausage. It was very filling, though. The Orange Honey Sriracha wings were good, and the honey flavor came through, although I would have preferred them crispier. The Fruity Pebbles Cheesecake was delicious and tasted just like the cereal. It was creamy without being too sweet, and the banana milk frosting brought it all together, with a flavor reminiscent of a bowl of milk. The restaurant is bright, colorful, and vibrant. The only downside is the price: bringing the whole family can get quite expensive. Still, I would definitely go back.
