Finally got to try the popular Sunday Dinner Everyday. Got it as a take out order and when I picked it up it literally was very heavy. It smelt so good in my car as I drove home. Opened it up and it didn't disappoint. Rice and peas with stew chicken on top of it . Chicken was full of flavor and falling off the bone. Rice and peas with the hint of coconut milk in it. Steamed cabbage was ok. And plantains. You definitely get you monies worth at this spot. Next time I would request extra gravy on the rice from the flavorful chicken. Would also like to mention how friendly the woman at the counter was when I picked up my order.

WOW!! Sunday Dinner Everyday is truly a hidden gem and a blessing to the Wooster Street community. This Black-owned Caribbean spot just opened up not too long ago and I'm so glad I got a chance to check it out while I was in town. To start off, the vibes here are IMMACULATE. They were playing all the nostalgic dancehall and Caribbean music mixed in with more recent island-inspired jams. Such a fun place to grab lunch or dinner! I can really see this place becoming one of the new hot spots in Wooster. Apart from the atmosphere, the staff was extremely friendly and kind. The person I spoke to helped me pick out my lunch special and recommended some favorites to try. I stopped by in the afternoon and ordered their curry chicken lunch special. The food is reasonably priced, especially compared to NYC prices. At first glance the lunch special looks small but it was SO MUCH food! I was in heaven! They really pack in a generous serving. The plantains were perfectly crispy and caramelized and the rice and peas (really rice and beans) was beyond flavorful. They definitely cook the rice in some type of broth. Now on to the star of the show! The curry chicken! Wow! The chicken was tender and practically falling off the bone. It was so delicious and flavorful. I asked for extra gravy and the server was so nice and really spooned a generous amount of that liquid gold over everything. I loved that the curry had a slight kick but wasn't spicy. All in all the food was delicious and I know exactly where I'm headed the next time I'm in the Wooster St area. Do yourself a favor and check them out! Oh and I paired my meal with a cold bottle of ginger beer. It was quite the feast. They have a large selection of various Jamaican/ Caribbean classic beverages. It doesn't look like they have appetizers like meat pies and festivaals. However they just opened up so I'm sure the menu will be expanding. They have jsut a small number of tables but I imagine they'll continue adding more seating. It's so hard to find Caribbean food in New Haven and I'm beyond thrilled that this place opened up!

We stopped by to pick up a meal on Sunday Dinner Everyday's fourth evening in business. They were still putting the finishing touches on the space-- we arrived before the tables had, before the protective film had been peeled off the TV screens-- and I am so glad that they didn't wait a moment longer before opening their doors so that the community could enjoy their delicious food. I chose the jerk chicken, and my husband the curry chicken. They were the kind of yummy that reminds you of home, and generously portioned to boot. It's exciting to see a restaurant pop up in the Wooster Square area that brings us flavors from beyond Italy's borders, and having a takeout option like this will surely be a game changer for those days we work from home. We'll be back soon!

I have been seeing this place and finally tried it, my friend recommended it and that a must try if she does because she's a very picky eater. This place serves Sunday dinner every day lol love the name. It's a Jamaican restaurant it's a bit pricey but the amount of food wasn't bad especially between the medium and large. I actually eat from it more than once. The reason they received 4 stars was the plantains were too too mushy and soft and the cabbage could have been more crunchy and added more to the plate. Would I recommend this place yes the service was good the ambience was the Caribbean vibe. The prices can be a bit lower in my opinion. This was a gift for my birthday from my friend.

This little corner restaurant is having a soft opening so they are currently take-out only but they have the space for a few tables once they get there. There isn't a lot of Caribbean food near downtown New Haven so I wish them the best. Decor was still minimal but it'll get there. Everyone was really friendly and this spot had been empty for way too long. I got a medium oxtail meal and was pleasantly surprised. The oxtail was fall-off the bone tender. The rice and peas (really beans) was excellent because I think they used the bean broth to cook the rice. The medium portion was way too much for me to finish and reasonably priced.

Food was not great. They forgot my sauce too. Bland and overall not extremely pleasing.

Had the oxtails, rasta pasta, and curry goat; all of which were amazing. The staff was very casual and friendly.

This Black owned business keeps the New Haven nightlife full of life. Now onto the food, I've been to several events that catered from Jazzys and the food is always always AMAZING for catered events!!! I went to a Yale sponsored panel that featured sweet potato corn bread from Jazzys--- absolutely delicious. They also served curry chicken, baked chicken with their signature sauces, cilantro rice, rice and peas, lentil Pattie's, plantains and cabbage. I was blown away. I went to Jazzys to dine in for dinner and unfortunately the food wasn't as good in the restaurant. The menu also wasn't as expansive. I'm not sure if it was an off night for Jazzys but I wasn't impressed by my dine-in experience. That being said, I've had catered food from Jazzys about 5 times and each time the food is amazing! TLDR: this a great option for night life or catering.
