The Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup was flavorful, on the saltier side - noodles were good, I found the beef pieces perfect, not too chewy. Husband tried the Spicy Sichuan Cold Noodle but he didn't find it to be spicy enough. Toddler enjoyed the Sesame Noodle. I also liked the flavor of the pan fried beef dumplings with the dipping sauce, but the wrappers definitely wasn't crispy for a take out order by the time we got home, probably best eaten fresh near the store. Would pass on the drinks. My lychee pop boba tea was ok but my husband's Thai iced tea had an artificial aftertaste. Would come back for the dumplings and noodles again. read more

There aren't too many Chinese spots in Cobble Hill, so I was looking forward to trying this spot out. It's a tiny shop with a couple tables on the street. Everything is already packaged in takeout containers, so best to enjoy at home. I ordered the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup ($13.75) while the boyfriend got the Sweet Pork Bing ($10.25). We also each got our own Black Sugar Milk Tea ($5 each). The drink was standard, but pretty tiny. As for the food, the bing was pretty solid but messy to eat as it's held together with a thin scallion pancake with egg. This is a classic Taiwanese item to get for sure. I also enjoyed the beef noodle soup, but honestly pretty standard as well. While I'm glad I got to try this spot out, I don't think it stood out enough to me to come back. The staff is friendly, and the logo is adorable--I just wish they carried that design theme into the interior and packaging. The space is extremely small, with barely enough room for 5 people to stand, and there's seating maybe for two people. There's more seating outdoors but can be a challenge when it's cold. The spicy wontons are well-seasoned and packed with flavor, while the cabbage and pork dumplings lean heavier on the cabbage but are still enjoyable. Side note: They apparently have opened up a second location in Fort Greene. Congrats on the expansion. Anyway, this is the local dumpling spot though as it is in Cobble Hill, it's a bit pricier than your usual hole in the wall. However unlike many other dumpling spots, they have a lot of other choices on the menu. Personally I go here for their jianbing which is similar to a crepe. I have preferred the jianbing with either Chinese sausage/Lap cheong, pork, or lamb. Very nicely spiced with a good nutty chili sauce. The pan fried dumplings are good no I prefer the dumpling wrapper from other places. I have gotten a mo occasionally also. This is similar to a burger (or more a sloppy joe but with much better meat) and it is fine but the bun is a bit off compared to other spots (not crispy enough.) Still fine. Overall a pretty good spot. Go here for the jianbing/Chinese crepe. read more

Staying at the Hilton, walking here was only a couple of minutes. I ordered the spicy shrimp/pork wontons & the sweet pork bing online. Walked to the store & it was already waiting for me. My only regret was not ordering it there & getting it fresh fresh. Don't make the same mistake like I did. Order it there & wait for it to be made. It will taste 100 times better!! My husband & I devoured everything in less than 10 mins. The restaurant is very small, therefore carry-out/delivery only. There are no seats. spicy shrimp/pork wontons: wonton wraps were thin & not thick like other places. filling was tasty. the radish & hot oil chili complimented the wontons very well. sweet pork bing: even though it was sitting out for 5-10 mins, it was still good in my opinion. Next time I will have to order it there & eat it hot off the grill. My first bite was an explosion of flavors. My husband loved it. With the name Oh Dumplings, it's probably no surprise that they make excellent dumplings and wontons, but they also offer noodles, bing (sandwiches), mo (burgers), and soup. We've tried every section on the menu except the soup, and my favorites are the dumplings and the burgers. The pork and chive pan-fried dumplings and the chicken pan-fried dumplings are delicious. Juicy and flavorful with lots of filling in each dumpling, and they've been fried just right (and held up so much better than I expected for delivery). The spicy chicken wontons, which were boiled and topped with spicy relish, were also tasty but a little hotter than I can tolerate these days. My favorite of the burgers is the sweet pork mo. The chicken is probably my second choice, and they're all really filling. The jianbing are huge and a good value. Not a fan of the noodles we've tried, but with such good dumplings and burgers, there are more than enough options to fill up that they're easy to skip over. Oh Dumplings is on Bergen Street which ia down the block from the Invisible Dog (venue/art installation space /art gallery) and near Court Street. I remember the first time I tried Oh Dumplings like it was yesterday. Last year, one warm and beautiful day I was walking around downtown Brooklyn and got a sudden craving for dumplings. Going onto Google and typing key words led to Oh Dumplings popping up on the screen. I ordere online and chose the pickup option. After visiting the Invisible Dog, I walked down and got my order about 20 minutes later. I told them my name, they pointed to my prepared order ready wrapped in a brown paper bag. Oh Dumplings has plastic bags displayed on the right side of the front counter for patrons to place their paper bag in them. Once I got home I devoured those dumplings . Oh Dumpling has a great menu including pan fried dumplings, boiled dumplings, chicken dumplings, pork dumplings, veggie dumplings, soups,.etc. Their Chicken and Pork Dumplings are delicious! Oh are the dumplings hearty and full of flavor....Which has led me to ordering them quite often. My friend really liked this place and so she wanted me to try it. We got the scallion pancakes and the chicken dumplings. Normally I'm not a fan of chicken dumplings but this wasn't bad at all. It was pretty good, tasty and I don't think it needed the sauce. We got scallion pancakes, 2 water bottles and 8 dumplings and it ended up being $22, which is a bit pricey for the amount we got though. We didn't like the scallion pancakes. I was pleased there were vegetarian and seafood options. I decided to order the shrimp dumplings, boiled and 6 pieces at $6.00. Note--for just a buck more, definitely go with the 8 piece option. The dumplings were average in size and I doubt mine were boiled because they were a bit oily (most likely they were pan fried). It was accompanied by a soy ginger sauce. My opinion was that they were flavorful but the filling was a bit skimpy. I liked the thinness of the dough & thought the soy ginger sauce complemented the dumplings well. The dough and filling both taste fresh but there seems to be an overall over-salt profile on all the dumplings I ordered. The chives pork is the best tasting. While very salty, it has other layers of flavors. 4/5 stars The beef ones has an odd aftertaste. I couldn't really taste any celery and there is something odd about the beef or whatever the beef is mixed with. 2/5 stars The shrimp doesn't seem to have any shrimp. These dumplings have the least amount of filling and it seems to mostly be egg. Overall taste is okay though. 3/5 stars I do like that the dumplings skins are fresh and a bit thicker than other places but I think that for fried dumplings, it should stay in the wok a bit longer since the texture is inconsistent across dumplings in the same order. I use air quotes because there were basically egg and scallion dumplings. There were only 3 tiny pieces of shrimp in 8 dumplings! Five dumplings had no shrimp at all and three had what amounted to shrimp crumbs. I tore open each dumpling thinking I must have received the incorrect order. Surely these are not what they are calling shrimp dumplings. I called the restaurant to complain and was told they will speak to the kitchen staff. I am hoping for a refund from Uber Eats because this was a rip off in my opinion. The cong you noodles were totally bland. Hello Brooklyn, trendy Chinese food has arrived. Oh Dumplings serves, bing (chinese savory filled crepes), Chinese "burgers" and dumplings (including a veggie dumpling!) alongside other enticing options like noodles and soymilk (and if you're like me, this is a sign of true Chinese food). For such an amazingly small and fast establishment, Oh Dumplings manages to churn out a really wide variety of quality options (esp things like bing and mo that are new to the Chinese food scene in the US) and as a vegetarian Chinese American I have never felt so appreciated by having multiple choices to choose from! I opted for the veggie dumpling and Cong You Noodles (a soy scallion noodles). The noods were fine, but nothing spectacular. The dumplings were a (kind of undersalted/underseasoned) tofu-y concoction with a chewy fresh made wrapper that I am so unbelievably happy for. I've had too many over vegifi-ed veggie dumplings that leave me completely un-satiated. Even worse is the cellophane noodle ones; as if the wrapper carbo-loading wasn't enough! Give me tofu or give me death! Thank you Oh Dumpling for providing a tofu dumpling so I don't have to go about making my own. The restaurant is small, the workers are fast. There's a few window seats, but I'd grab and go for the best experience. There's no fuss, but good food at a very reasonable price point (~$7 for 6 dumplings? Not cheap, but very fair). I was craving quick Chinese foods and came across this place on yelp. They claim to use some organic ingredients in their dumplings, so I placed an order for delivery! Delivery was very quick and the dumplings were still very fresh. These dumplings are all hand-made dumplings by the way, not the frozen ones you buy from the market. You know it's authentic when they're speaking Chinese behind the counter (wasn't sure which dialect). It's a no frills, local spot. I always get their bing sandwich here. It's hard to find jianbings in NYC so I'm glad there's a spot near me :) I brought my Chinese friend here once and she said it's pretty similar to the ones her dad makes at home. It has a good amount of heat, they don't skimp on the chili oil for sure. There's a good amount of crunch which I love. I've ordered and done pick ups from Oh Dumplings about a handful of times, and typically have always stuck with the pork and chive dumplings (either boiled or pan fried), and the pork dumpling spicy/sour soup. And it's typically hit the spot when craving some dumplings. Not the best ones I've ever had, but not the worst, either. Today, I ventured a little further and in addition to the pork and chive dumplings, I decided to get some wontons with chili oil, braised tofu with chili oil, and a veggie bing. $31 later, and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed... wontons in chili oil seemed boiled. Super soggy. Might be better to steam them instead to help retain the shape and not have the wrapper become mushy. The braised tofu with chili oil was refrigerator cold. Was that how it was supposed to be? Or did they forget to heat this up? The veggie bing crepe itself was decent but the filler of "crispy wonton and veggie" was actually like the flakes that are leftover on your plate after eating a fried spring roll, and the "veggie" was iceberg lettuce... I'm not expecting white linen napkins but 25 minutes to make 8 dumplings, and when I ask after the timing, being told with a nasty attitude that they'd only opened at 11. Ummm, it's 1135 and I was your first in store customer. Their entire business is caviar and they clearly prioritize those delivery customers. Homeless man wandered in and berated me in front of my children for not buying him food. Noone in the shop asked him to leave or stop harassing me. My kids were terrified and if they'd actually served up the dumplings in a timely fashion, we would have long been gone. Dumplings themselves were fine. Nothing special. First impression review... I got a 6 piece chicken dumplings and a side of kelp salad. The dumplings were ok: good flavorful filling, but the wrapper was not my favorite. The wrapping had a decent sear on the outside, but as you chewed it felt mushy or undercooked. Dipping sauce was delicious though. The kelp salad was straight up disgusting! I've only had "seaweed" salad from 2 different sushi places which I absolutely loved, but I couldn't take more than one bite from the Kelp salad here it was so bad! It tasted like what beach water smells like. The smell of the seaweed that washes up on the sand, is what this tasted like to me. I walked by this place today and saw their glowing reviews which made I decided to check in on my way home. It took less than 15 minutes to get my order made. I ordered 6 Shrimp dumplings to go and asked if they also made steamed dumplings and the answer was they could boil them for me... I should have just said politely said no thank you and left, but I really wanted to give this place a try. Once I tried them, the taste was just not at all what I had in mind. Not sure if it was because of the chives or eggs in them. I wasn't allergic or anything and yes, I saw the ingredients on the board before ordering them. It was just the taste that made me feel like I've had more tasty ones. I might give it a try again in the future, but for now I have to give it 3 stars based on the taste. FYI, they do delivery as I saw a few people came in to pick up their orders. There's also a small seating area that could use some cleaning as well.
