Frank would always come out to my house with a smile and fix it in a few.

A scam with endless hidden fees before you arrive. I initially booked a windshield replacement…read morethrough Safelite for my 2021 Lexus NX 300 (base model) and was quoted $472.22. Once the appointment was finalized, the total quietly increased by $39.99 for a recycling fee to dispose of the existing glass, something that should have been disclosed upfront. If you're replacing a windshield, it's obvious there's already one in place, so the lack of transparency here feels deceptive and intentional. To make matters worse, I received a follow-up email claiming I now needed to pay an additional $495 for ADAS recalibration, bringing the new total to $1,045.96. My vehicle does not have windshield-mounted sensors or a front-facing camera, yet they insisted recalibration was mandatory or they wouldn't repair it. I even confirmed with my dealership. This is a classic money grab, adding hidden fees and pushing unnecessary services on customers who may not realize what their vehicle does or doesn't require. I ended up going elsewhere and paid significantly less without the bogus charges. Disappointing experience overall. Safelite should do better by being honest and upfront, not relying on sneaky tactics to inflate costs.

I showed up for my appt and was told that I had the wrong glass. In my opinion, this could have been avoided if they had better customer service and if I would have been able to speak to someone over the phone while scheduling. The employee who told me it was the wrong glass then proceeded to order me another glass and told me to come back today. I came back today for my appt, took off work, and took an uber back home. 30 min later I get a call saying that the glass is still the wrong glass and I have to schedule again. Not only did I waste the morning for a 2nd time and have to arrange early pickup, but the employee who had confirmed my service and who was here this morning was nowhere to be found, so I didn't even receive an apology. I have used Safelite for many years prior to this experience, but after today, I will not be using them in the future.

I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with Atlas Auto Glass and to document an…read moreongoing issue that has yet to be resolved despite multiple visits, repeated assurances, and significant inconvenience. Atlas replaced the cracked windshield on my 2024 Cadillac XT4. Immediately after the replacement, the heads-up display (HUD) was blurry, out of focus, and appeared tilted forward. I returned to Atlas and was advised that calibration was not possible, as the system was "preset" and would correct itself. I was assured that if it did not, Atlas would "make it right."The issue did not resolve. On my second visit, I was told a new windshield would be ordered. On my third visit, after leaving my car for several hours, I was informed that the windshield was not replaced at all -- instead, the HUD had been calibrated. This directly contradicted what I was told during my first visit, further eroding my confidence in Atlas's expertise and honesty. Due to continued concerns, I scheduled an appointment with Cadillac. I was advised that the windshield installed by Atlas is a low-quality aftermarket product and not OEM. Cadillac confirmed that the inferior glass is the cause of the HUD distortion, as the display cannot properly reflect off non-OEM glass. I relayed this information to Atlas and was once again assured the issue would be resolved. I was scheduled for a replacement on January 17, 2026, only to have the appointment canceled at the last minute due to a technician being unavailable. It was rescheduled for January 24, 2026. I arrived in frigid weather for that appointment and was then informed that Atlas had reordered the same windshield currently installed on my vehicle. At that point, I was told my only other option was to order an OEM windshield from Cadillac. This entire experience demonstrates poor communication, misinformation, and a lack of accountability. I was repeatedly told the issue would be fixed, yet Atlas continued reinstalling or attempting to reinstall the same defective product. My time has been wasted, and my concerns dismissed. This situation highlights an important reality: lower cost is not always better. In this case, choosing Atlas resulted in inferior materials, inconsistent information, and a complete lack of customer-focused resolution. I have now requested a full refund. I was told this cannot be addressed until management is contacted, despite Atlas's repeated failure to deliver the service paid for. As a result, I am filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Customer satisfaction should not end once payment is collected. Unfortunately, that appears to be the case with Atlas Auto Glass. Alta J.

Once I was done getting new tires, I also had to repair my cracked window. Imagine driving in cold weather of 1° with a plastic tire bag covering the driver seat window as it flapped wildly in the wind, driving towards Atlas Auto glass repair shop. It almost didn't happen in fact because as I called to let the glass repair shop know that I was coming, the lady on the phone said that they were closing. They close at six and I called at 5:27 PM, thinking that they close at eight for some reason. I pleaded with the lady and she very kindly insisted that they were closing and could take no more customers. I asked to speak with the manager, and the gentleman was so kind and God bless him. He stayed, well past six with another team member to help me install the glass into the driver seat window so that I could get home safely - 23 miles away. They are HEROES in my book. The gentleman went above and beyond and called to another one of his shop to get the right window as they realize the window they had in the shop was not the right fit. This man deserves HIGH recognition as he did not have to go the extra mile. He has a heart or gold and deserves all the blessings for helping a soul out!

I had a few questions about the type of undercoating they use and whether there were less damaging options in case it ever chipped. The answers I got felt rushed and vague, and then they just stopped replying altogether. I ended up doing the job myself with Fluid Film and Cosmoline. It was definitely messier and probably not as thorough as a pro could do, but I didn't feel confident they'd take the time or care to do it right. Disappointing.

Without it the fob antenna has broken several times and the warranty covers it for replacement at no additional cost. As for the rustproofing, not much to say its doing what it's suppose to do. One year they oversprayed my rims with the rustproof coating. Took it back and cleaned it off. Since then have been excellent and no further issues on touchups. My only dislike i can say is the undercoating smells. It will get some getting used to until it dissipates after about a week on first application and futher applications. Service has been doing great since my first visit back in 2016 and will continue to do business with them.
