Got ceramic tints all around, noticed multiple bubbles on multiple windows. Most were small and didn't bring them up only the front windshield which left streaks of water on the bottom left driver side. I went to get it replaced as well as the sun strip which wasn't set up evenly. After an hour and 40 minutes for the front windshield I get my car back, sun strip is higher than the arrows, my center console is wet as well as my radar detector. My belongings were on the floor mat on the passenger side wet. Noticing the same streaks forming on the same side after the replacement. Word of advice. Add a long towel or towels over customers dash and protect their belongings. Price was somewhat reasonable for the tints. The work itself was very poor read more

Around $400 to tint all the windows in a coupe. They did a great job tinting the windows but what annoyed me the most is how they clean your windows with solutions and let all the solutions drip into your car and don't clean up after themselves. Made an appointment and when I showed there were other customers who had not been helped waiting for anyone to speak with them. One customer was eagerly waiting in the door way to their shop floor and still couldn't get any help. After waiting 20 minutes I said forget it and left. There were clearly people waiting longer than me for help. Appointments do not matter. This place is unprofessional and you are better off taking your business else where. I bet other places actually have customer service. They even had the audacity to call telling my wife that we missed our appointment, but it was ztech who missed it. I went here twice for my cars and was hoping I would like their service since they carry the 3M line of window tint film. Beware. I had them do my brand new windshield (I have a medical condition) and they used the razor directly on the windshield glass. This scored and scratched the brand new glass. I have seen other places either use a (clothing) button to glide on the glass while the razor is poked in the button's hole or draw a line with a sharpie, then cut the film off the vehicle, so the glass does not get damaged. I am very upset with the damage and thought a place like this would know better. I can't imagine doing this type of windshield damage to a very expensive Tesla or Ferrari. read more

I wanted to like this place. I came in here in March to chat about tint because I love having a lightly tinted windshield to diffuse some heat. The manager made a good impression and so I set up an appointment to have my existing tint removed and replaced with the 3M Crystalline product because it blocks more heat and has better clarity. Fast forward to my first appointment. I dropped the car off in the morning and planned to come back in the afternoon near the end of the day. About 6 hours after drop-off I got a phone call saying that their installer was unable to tint my windshield. So I left that day with no tint on my windshield at all. We were off to a disappointing start. My second appointment was a week or two later due to my schedule. On my second visit things only got worse. I dropped the car off in the AM and went to breakfast with my girlfriend. I headed back over afterwards and made some small talk with Tyler, the manager. I was in a little bit of a hurry so when he offered to check me out before the car was done I jumped at it. My mistake. When he went to pull the car out he was gone for a few minutes then returned to the lobby to tell me that my windshield was cracked... I don't believe my windshield had any prior damage, and I most certainly was not informed of any prior damage until there was a foot long crack across my windshield. Windshields can form pressure cracks from excessive heating and cooling which seems likely based on the fact that they rely on using heat to properly form the tint and both of my visits were on very cold days. Combine that with the fact that it took them many attempts to tint my windshield and it's a recipe for disaster. Best case scenario there was a rock chip(which I don't believe there was), and the installer should have noted that and not treated the windshield. I believe the installers here are negligent at best, and it wound up costing me an additional $1263 dollars to replace the windshield. I did return to have my windshield tinted after it was replaced. I was not offered even a refund. Buyer beware read more

Im really happy when I'm able to give a good review to a deserving business. This is the second time I used this company to install 3M window tint with a heat shield. I recently purchased a new vehicle and wanted the same product I used in my previous car. I made an appt for Tuesday, but happened to be in the neighborhood on a Saturday morning. I stopped in to see if it was possible to receive service as a walk in. I spoke with Shane who couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. In approximately 40 mins I was on my way home with a perfectly installed product. The tech cleaned my vehicle of any residual applying liquid perfectly. I cant speak to the pricing, because I didnt compare with any other shops. I can talk about the quality of the product and the install because without question both are amazing. So far so good with the tint I got them five days ago and they look excellent there is a bubble on one window so I'm going to need to go back and get it replaced but their warranty covers everything so I will have no issue getting that taken care of therefore should not be considered in my rating and review. I got the 6 inches of tint on my front windshield and my two front windows done. I already had a tint on the back. They literally took like 25 minutes to get it done but I did come an hour before they closed so excellent service all around if you ask me. Guy told me on the phone 140 for the lifetime warranty tints then tells me 150 when I get there typical of any service place so I'm not going to judge still gave me excellent service and they were professional so I would recommend to anybody looking for tints. I stopped in today 7/29 talked to Tyler still no urgency just more excuses and blaming a machine that cuts the film ill be honest I didn't know a machine cuts like a 5 year old. Then said its the car it has funky angles like really Tyler that is the same excuse you used plenty of times before well ill stop complaining now ill post the pictures soon when I have another tint shop do it. Waste of 280 dollars like I said money is not the issue quality of work is the issue. Tyler was very courteous and knowledgable about the different types of tint and demonstrated how the top line blocks the heat. I was the last one on the list for the day and was hoping it would not be a shoddy rush-job and it wasn't - they really did a beautiful job. I feel I must yelp about Z TECH Window Tinting in Countryside, Illinois! This is the third time I have used Z TECH, and each time it gets better. Yesterday I went in and discussed just what kind of tinting would be best for my 2017 Buick La Crosse Essence. Myself I was downright ignorant about the subject but after speaking with Shane and Tyler, they made a difficult decision easy (even with my wife with me) LOL. The questions were many and the explanations and answers were ideal. I wasn't even aware that I could get a window tint that also blocked much heat from the sun AND tinted the window any color desired. As it turned out, I purchased a darker tint for the back and both rear passenger windows, while I requested a much lighter tint for the windshield and both front seat windows, and both came with the aforementioned heat blocking material. I had my 2011 Buick La Crosse tinted several years ago by Z Tech and never ever had any difficulty. Z Tech does fast, excellent and professional work every time. If you need your windows tinted (it looks awesome) take your car to Z TECH at 9825 55th Street in Countryside, you won't be disappointed. Ask for Shane or Tyler, they know it all! read more

A bit expensive but they are very professional....had my windows tinted about 2 years ago and it still looks like it was done today

On August 10th, 2022, I brought my newly acquired ( purchased 3 weeks prior), Nissan Pre-Certified, 2019 Murano SL to Ztech in Countryside to have the front windows tinted. This vehicle was purchased off the showroom floor at Arlington Nissan and was in Excellent and Pristine condition. Upon completion of the tinting, and on my way home, I noticed a burn on the headliner above me near the door seal. I immediately returned to Ztech and notified the manager, who came out to my vehicle to see. I stated a heat gun or something other created the burn while in the shop area. Upon his examination, he stated it looked like a cigarette burn and had been there for some time. Regardless of what created the burn, it was done that day, in their shop, by an employee. He denied any responsibility and basically accused me of trying to scam them with prior damage. I HAVE NOT and still DO NOT smoke in this vehicle. I asked for the owner's name and contact information, and was refused it. Hiding something ??? I KNOW it was done in their shop, and the shop employee KNOWS he did it ....... but he nor the manager have the decency or courage to man-up and admit their wrongdoing. Great business ethics ??? I am not stopping with this review, and suggest anyone taking their vehicle to Ztech take prior pics or video. In case this happens to you, they will come in handy. This is a long review but is worth the read. In short, Tyler and Z Tech are AMAZING! I have had the best experience I have ever had with any business transaction. The remote start and window tint is perfect and the price was right! Recently I was looking for a remote start for my vehicle. I called a couple local places including Z Tech and initially spoke with Tyler. He was informative, professional, polite and accommodating with my questions. Based on that initial conversation I decided to book my remote start installation for four weeks later. Then I contacted them again and wanted to move up the installation. They were able to accommodate my schedule and get me in the following day. They were so professional and had such a clear understanding of the business that I also choose them to install window tint on my vehicle as well at the same time as the remote start. I have gone for years to another local business for window tinting but Z Tech was going to give me the same price and I could get both done the same day. Plus they computer cut all of their film instead of hand cutting which saves time and gives a more exact fit to the vehicle. The most outstanding part was when I picked up the vehicle I wasn't completely happy with the remote start functionality but I decided to use it for a few days and see how it went. I was having problems every day with the remote start. When I went back to Z Tech I spoke with Tyler again and he assured me that they would do everything possible to help get the remote starter working. The remote starter appears to be working fine now and I can not be more satisfied. Tyler is an outstanding business professional with a particular strength of being able to politely, calmly, and patiently really listen to his customer's concerns or needs and then work to relieve those concerns and surpass those needs. I had my new truck undercoated here. When they pulled the truck outside for me I noticed they got undercoating overspray on the lip of all four of the fenders. I pointed it out to Tyler who then had it pulled back inside to get it removed. I drove it home assuming they had cleaned it all but still found overspray after I got home. I called Tyler who apologized and told me he re-checked it himself. It was a 30 minute drive back there so I cleaned it off myself. Two days later I am checking the tire pressures and I find overspray on my aluminum wheels, too. Find somewhere where they check their work or mask to avoid this. read more

Shane and Tyler worked hard to make this old lady happy. I originally was very unhappy with my tint because I chose the clear which did not sufficiently block the heat from the sun. The guys worked with me and we put 70% on the side windows and 50% on the front windshield right over the existing clear tint. I am very happy with the results. read more
