Maybe I came on an off day (lol just noticed - Offset?) but wow. What happened? Me and my friend ordered their avocado toast and lox toast and both our toast were drowned in huge amount of salt flakes. Initially I was a little confused as to what they were. Maybe some sort of cheese? But after taking one to taste I realized they were salt flakes and it was as if someone sprinkled a whole teaspoon of huge salt flakes into our toast. I had to pick it out one by one or else I wouldn't be able to eat my toast at all. Thankfully the salt flakes were huge so I could take it out haha.. Silver lining I guess. I ordered their Earl Gray latte too and it was super watery. Anyways there are better more interesting cafes around the Torrance area so I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Have passed by this mini strip-mall plenty of times and have never seen Offset before so I'm assuming it's a new (or at least semi-new) coffee shop. It's super cute inside and has pleasing modern aesthetics. I ordered a nitro vanilla latte on draft and it did not disappoint. I love trying nitro cold brew because of the velvety foam at the top. The vanilla flavor and sweetness came through very subtly and not too intense which is exactly how I like it. My girlfriend ordered the dulce de leche which is basically caramel, milk, and espresso- I tried it and it was delicious! We paid $12 for both drinks. Check them out if you're in the area! read more

I was craving a matcha latte and heard that their rose latte was delicious, so I asked if they could do a rose matcha latte with oatmilk. Let me say, I WAS IMPRESSED. It was one of the best matcha lattes I have ever had. I can't wait to come back and try other lattes on the menu. The inside aesthetic was a vibe, and the baristas were very sweet and friendly. A pleasant surprise of a little spot in a great a location, but a small parking lot. :) Not to worry though, it was easy to find a spot as people come an go frequently. I stopped in out of convenience as it was in an area I had some errands to run and to my surprise this spot I never would have noticed from the street was quite good. The sign is simple, the name is simple and unique, the location is in the corner...but, navigation got me there perfectly! The lox toast was amazing. When I opened my to-go box and saw how pretty it was, I knew it would be worth every penny. Paired it perfectly with an iced lavender vanilla latte and yep, they earned a repeat customer! I loved the extra precautions they had in place. Something new I haven't seen before was little pieces of paper we could use to pick up pens or touch screens when paying, then throw it away. It seemed very efficient besides all the sanitizing. read more

Offset was popular for an early Friday morning! If you know what you want already, I recommend ordering ahead online. Since it was our first time, we decided to just order in person when we arrived. We had four drinks so it took a little bit longer for them to come out, so order ahead if you can! They have taken all safety precautions seriously here! Only one person is allowed inside at a time to order. They even provide little wax paper squares to use on the screen when you complete your credit card orders. There is also ample room outdoors for you to wait for your drinks away from other customers. I ordered the matcha horchata for myself. I don't think it's true horchata made of rice milk because when I asked if there was dairy, they looked at me as if to say "duh." So I ordered mine with oat milk.. Normally some places that do the drinks with horchata base tell you that you can't change the milk because it's horchata already made with the rice milk. Oh well! It tasted good with a nice level of sweetness added from the oat milk I selected, but the matcha wasn't dissolved well so it was a bit grainy which you can see in the photo. Love that they offer this drink though, it's often my go to whenever I see it on a menu! They have a nice location right off the main road so you can't miss the coffee sign. The parking lot is a bit small though so again, if you can order ahead, do it so you can get in/out quickly! read more

I was in the area and wanted a caffeine pick me up so I stopped by here. It's a cute little shop in a little plaza. You'll miss it if you're not paying attention. I ordered a lavender latte. I originally wanted my latte with almond milk, but the baristas highly recommended the macadamia nut milk so I decided to try it since I never had it before. I was pleasantly surprised! It was a great compliment to the latte. It is on the sweeter side though. Next time I might just get macadamia nut milk with a regular latte instead of with flavoring since both flavors were pretty bold. The prices are comparable to any coffee shop. Really enjoyed a nice sunny fall Saturday morning here, with coffee and treats. I tried the banana bread latte, my husband a flat white along with a chocolate croissant for him, and a delicious biscuit breakfast sandwich with spinach for myself. The breakfast sandwich was really good and piping hot! The banana bread latte (hot) was lovely visually and definitely fit the description, but I think I would have preferred a classic coffee drink like my usual cappuccino with the more "rich" food I ordered. Service was great- shout out to Ash at the register, she was really cool and I enjoyed our short but very pleasant exchange. Even at 8:30 in the morning there was a continuous flow of customers as we sat and sipped, which always speaks volumes to me. Cute space- minimalist and clean. I saw staff members (possibly a manager or owner?) also go out of their way to do kind things for customers and someone who was struggling a bit outside in the parking lot. Hidden coffee shop in a local strip mall. My friend got me a delicious Earl grey latte. Good selection of coffee and tea drinks. One of the bathrooms is broken and the one they have did not have a hook or stool to keep the purse inside so it was a bit inconvenient though the bathroom functions. Being a small shop, good balance of outside seats and the inside seating. Parking is not hard though if you are driving up north you may miss their parking lot. Something I realized growing up was that Torrance surprisingly had few sit down coffee shops. That's changing now as seen in Offset Coffee. Anyway, so it's a coffee shop, so get coffee. Their menu isn't extensive or filled with crazy flavors which can be nice if you just prefer a simple coffee. If you want a hazelnut coconut caramel cream latte, maybe try a different coffee shop. But espressos, iced coffees, and all that are fair game here. Good quality at typical mildly overpriced coffee prices. So that's all there is to Offset Coffee. Have at it! read more

I have been to Offset three times already, and I will say that my first time there, with a dirty Horchata latte, was PHENOMENAL. Strong with caffeine and creamy, super sweet, it hit my tastebuds perfectly. Well done. However: the second and third time were not good. Perhaps it was because I'd ordered for delivery, so it wasn't as good once it arrived at my doorstep. The dirty horchata I had the second time had a strange, sour taste to it, and the Earl Grey latte was subpar (too much cream, barely any Earl Grey taste). That said, I had to knock off a star for the inconsistency. Maybe I'll have to give it another chance, as I really did enjoy my first cup. But we'll have to see. read more

I ordered an iced vanilla latte, and with just one sip, #offseteverything. The shop offers seating outside and inside. It's very small but has plenty of coffee options to choose from. They also offer small eats. I was hoping for a tasty pastry, but unfortunately, there wasn't any available at the time of my visit. I also had to buy a Liquid Death water for fun-zees. Parking: Got lucky with finding a parking spot in the small open lot right in front. Drinks: Their menu looked pretty good, ranging from tea to coffee drinks. The drink pictured to the left is a lavender matcha latte and the one to the right is a regular matcha latte. Was a bit disappointed with the quality of matcha mixing because my friend's drink to the right still had leftover powder sinking to the bottom and looked much less green than the lavender one. - Lavender Matcha - Matcha Latte Ambiance: Very light and minimalist interior, but super small. Not really meant to be stayed at for a long time since there are only about 3 small tables inside. There was some seating outside. Wifi wasn't super stable towards the end of my visit. And the workers had manual control of the music and kept switching between songs before they even fully played out. Volume was pretty quiet though, aside from the moderate volume music. This coffee shop is a cute little spot to grab a cup and a quick bite to eat. Obviously it is more busy around the time most people get to work. Around 10AM is when it gets slower and you don't have to wait in a long line or miss out on seating. There are a few spots to sit inside but when the line gets long it would probably feel a bit crowded so I would suggest eating outside if possible. When I went, it was overcast so outside was perfect. The flavored lattes looked good so my friend and I had to give them a try. Iced versions of the lattes are also available. We tried rose and lavender. I couldn't taste too much rose in my iced latte to be honest. The iced lavender latte was more flavorful, with the lavender hitting more towards the end. My friend enjoyed a coffee cake while I enjoyed an avocado toast. I would stop by again if I was in the area and there wasn't a long wait. read more
