Customer service is just ok. They will sale you products they don't have in stock & can't give you a definitive answer on when to expect your product. Instead of using this opportunity to show great customer service they would much prefer to just do a return instead of personalized communications when your product arrives.I was told the Assistant manager didn't know When to expect anything it could be December 2019 before the product comes in. I went in to shred 30 lbs of documents/papers, armed with a 20% off coupon taken straight from Office Max's own website. The coupon had no terms limiting the amount of discount or how many pounds of shredding. The normal price was 99 cents a pound, which SHOULD HAVE been knocked down to about 80 cents a pound by the coupon. Well, to my surprise, when I used the coupon, it took 20% off ONE POUND, not the 30 lbs. I pointed it out to the associate, who just responded, "Oh, well, it worked and it took a few cents off." He didn't give it anymore consideration than that. I didn't feel like arguing with him, so I paid and left. Ultimately, what should have been a $6 discount turned out to be just 20 cents. It didn't break the bank for me, but if this is how Office Max conducts itself, I'll gladly go to Staples or ANY other competitor in the future. My future business that Office Max will lose will amount to much more than $5.80. read more

Wow!!! Best customer service ever!!! Aprille was absolutely amazing!!!! We were trying to find desk chairs for my sons and with Covid most are sold out. She took so much time trying to help us as much as she could and ended up finding us the perfect chairs in stock and was just a joy to talk with. Her team was also the sweetest - ringing us up and then helping to load them into my truck. I can't say enough how wonderful they are and will be going there for everything I need in the future. Customer service sucks. They really need to get people in the print and copy center who know that they are doing. I waited over 25 mins and still didn't have any documents that only needed to be printed. I have been going to this office max for over 5 years and never had an issue like this. This location has lost a customer for life. The customer service in the print center is freaking terrible. Maybe that was the manager helping them out. She was very friendly but the other two were clueless as to how they should treat a customer waiting for too long of a time. read more

I was able to get in and out right away, and able to buy the things that I required, and I cannot stress that enough how helpful she and her team were! Purchased a pen in the morning, went to work , pen didn't work. Went back 5 hrs later on my lunch to exchange it. I am told I can't exchange it until a few days later. Receipt says 100% satisfaction exchange within 90 days nothing about waiting. 100% satisfaction exchange policy is false. And was told I would need to talk to a manager to see if he would override it, but he would not come out because he was in his 25 minute break. read more

After calling to inquire about a price on a specific product and speaking to "Sonia", I was given the price of the product I wanted to purchase. Upon arrival the price was significantly different from which I was quoted. I asked to speak to the manager ("Chris") to see if Office Max would lower the price to the amount I was quoted. The manager and cashier were both extremely rude, condescending and ultimately unhelpful. This will be the last time I purchase ANYTHING from OFFICE MAX. The manger on the printing section need more training or audio cameras in that area. I was charged 47 pages more for something I never doubled email and showed her on my end my thing she never said hey ma'am you are sending doubles that ok? No nothing she apparently double printed my emails that I needed. On top charged for printing two email pic on one page without Even saying to me! Some customer service. I wasn't in a rush I stood there for hour waiting on my papers and doing more copies on the self check. Very disappointing on the location now never had a problem. Do not go to this location if you need help or have questions because no one knows anything about the business they are in or want to do anything resembling customer service. Worst customer service ever. Went in to get some copies done and went to the print center and stood in line and the girl who was working was extremely rude and not helpful said I could use the printers behind me. I asked her if she could do it and she was like it's going to be a really long wait so I proceeded to the self help printers and couldn't figure out how to do what I needed and this is exactly why I stood in line in the first place so I asked another girl for help and she said she had no idea how to use them and walked away so then I had to ask someone else and thank goodness she wasn't sure but at least she was helpful enough to go ask someone so could print my stuff. Went twice today. Printed some important party invites and although the card stock they had wasn't the thickness I wanted, I was able to get an estimate on what I wanted and even got a free sample. Ended up going to another store to buy the card stock I was looking for, went back to have it printed here, and they're BEAUTIFUL. Everything was super quick. Was in and out and even got to use my online coupon with not problem. Only issue I had was they cutting fee is $1.99/A CUT. A CUT, GUYS. wtf?!? Luckily they have stuff you can use yourself to cut and I know someone who's pretty good with it so we'll be back to cut them ourselves. That's the only complaint I had. Rude! I went in there to drop off a box for shipping. There were no carts. So I had to carry my big 35lb 22x22x22 box. Employee walks out the store, just to look at a sign. Didn't offer any assistance knowing very well I was struggling. He walked next to me the whole time! Once I'm in there "the machine is down." No knowledge of any other near by locations. Had to walk back with my box, while the same employee stood there playing with paper. read more

This place is a rip off for their self fax. First the fax machine is junky and it needs maintenance and it does not send the faxes right. Second they tried to charge me $40 for a fax to a local number. The girls there are not helpful and they just sit around. I'll never come back here again for any clerical Work again. read more

I read a terrible review about their print shop but when I went there I had a great experience (in regards to the customer service aspect at least). The gentleman at the shop worked hard to try to get the prints the way I wanted them and was very patient with all the other customers. I nicked off two stars because the print quality is HORRIBLE if you're trying to print custom posters or anything high quality really. I'm not sure if their machines are on the older side or haven't been serviced in a while, but the colors were off, you could see the print lines on the graphic, and on their poster machine everything was super fuzzy. In the end I had to visit Fedex/Kinkos where my prints turned out amazing and super crisp. read more

When I walked in and went to the printing center I was never greeted by anyone. I waited in line for 10mins while more people lined up behind me and I was still never greeted or acknowledged. No one ever told me they would be right with me, no one apologized for the wait. There were only 2 people in the printing center, the guy employee was helping a woman with her flyers and the woman was doing something with the printers, but they both looked annoyed and looked like they did not want to be there, the girl who was not working with anyone directly could have looked up and acknowledged all of us customers waiting in line to let us know they would be right with us but her and the guy employee made every attempt to avoid eye contact in our direction. Seemed like there was tension going on with the employees or something. Finally another employee came to help from another department but for some reason he started to help the people from the back of the line first ? Which didnt make sense, once he helped me he started handing me part of my order that I needed printed, he told me the rest was still printing, I stood in front of the register so that I could pay for my order, and the guy employee who was from the printer center saw me and had a facial expression of that showed he was bothered I was standing there and pointed at the guy who was from the other dept and said hes helping you over there. He gave me the impression he did not want to help me at all. So I asked him, is there a register over there where my orders being printed? he said no. I said okay, Im just trying to pay for my order, and he said oh okay and charged me for my order, but the whole time he was so bothered that he had to help me. After he charged me he gave me my receipt he did not say thank you or have a nice day he did not say any sort of parting greeting. It just seems like this store is unorganized, and has very unhappy employees. I will not be returning here to purchase anything anymore this was by far the worst customer experience Ive ever had. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! Can I put zero stars? I purchased an office chair via the Office Max website Monday afternoon. The website stated the chair was in stock at this location. When I arrived at the store that same evening, they told me it was not in stock. The manager I spoke to apologized profusely, and offered to get the chair and have it shipped to me. I asked him when I can expect it to be delivered. He GUARANTEED me that it would be delivered Wednesday, and that I would receive a call this morning to let me know the order was processed. I was hesitant as I could've gone to another store to pick up the chair, but it was late so I agreed. I got no such call. I had to call them, and was passed around to three different people who could only give me the order number and that it was "being processed." They told me to call the Office Max 800 number. Fine. I call the 800 number. The operator informs me that the chair is in stock but it will not be delivered for 3-5 business days. Lesson learned. Never buying from Office Max or Office Depot again. Staples is an extra 20 minutes out of my way but I will be buying from them from now on! read more

Everyone should be aware how much of a problem they gave me. I went and had invitations designed and printed. Little did I know how many shortcuts they took and mistakes they made. Because I paid them to do the graphic design you would think that they spell check! Well they don't!! So make sure you triple check. I paid and took everything home and was getting ready to send out my wedding invitations that also included rsvps. Well they made 2 spelling errors! When I brought them back they not only said they got rid of the file and had to re do everything but that they were also going to make me pay for it all! I just moved to the area and needed a place to print some bulletins. I typically use Staples for my printing needs, however office max happens to be extremely close to my new place. I placed an online order at 2pm, as I'm placing my order the site state the printing will be available before 7pm. Already longer than I would expect for 30 pages front in back. After confirming my payment, I receive an email stating my printing will now be ready at 4pm the next day, which was ridiculous. There is no printing that should take 26 hours especially 30 copies on 8 1/2 by 11. After speaking to a store representative I was confident the printing would be ready by 7pm. Unfortunately, when I arrived at 7 they hadn't even started my order. From what I could see the store was empty. As I mentioned before I normally use Staples which typically takes 2 hours for printing at the max. I'm disappointed with the experience I had with this location and now have been inconvenienced and will have to find another place for my printing needs. read more

Poor service every time I go to the copy service area. There are never enough employees to help, and they ignored me when I was there on 3/17/16. I stood there waiting for assistance, and they began helping another customer who walked in after me. I've tried several times to utilize this particular department, sad that I will have to travel 10 miles from my home to get good service!
