They have almost everything I need for the office, and I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. During my most recent visit, I was looking for a Canon magenta ink cartridge for $14.99. However, the store only had the XL version available for $33.99. The physical size is the same, just that the XL contains more ink. A staff member who was assisting customers in the store approached me and asked if I needed help. I explained the situation to him and asked whether there were any promotions available. He suggested that I ask the cashier to match the web price. I recognized the cashier, a tall man with long hair whom I have seen several times before, and he is always nice and kind. He honored the web price, which was $24.99 instead of $33.99! I also asked him about their ink cartridge recycling program, and he patiently answered all of my questions. If you are signed up for the Office Depot Rewards program, you can earn $2 in rewards for each recycled ink or toner cartridge, up to 10 cartridges per month, after you make a $10 qualifying purchase that month. I have learned online that they have offered this program since 2003!  I immediately recycled 10 ink cartridges that I had brought with me, earning $20 in rewards that would add to my account in 24 hours, which I have 60 days to use. Many of the stores in Deerbrook Mall seem fairly quiet these days. I hope this Office Depot location is here to stay.

Unfortunately, one of the legs on the chair broke and I needed to replace it. I started looking around many places and couldn't believe how hard it was finding an office chair. Due to so many people working from home and using office equipment, most stores were sold out of these type of chairs. Staples had some but they weren't well made along with being very expensive. I also have back issues and am tall so I needed a really comfortable chair that I could try out before buying so ordering a chair was not an option. I was really getting frustrated but noticed this place listed when I did a Google search. This establishment got good reviews on Yelp and Google so on 9/5/20, I decided to take a drive to the other side of town to see what they had. This place is a hidden treasure trove! You walk in and there is office equipment everywhere! The 2 male staff, as mentioned in other reviews were really helpful and nice. They had so many office chairs to choose from and I tested every one. They were having a 70% liquidation sale as they are moving soon to a different location. There were 2 chairs in particular that I was interested in and both of them had really good price points. I was surprised to find out that this business has been around for over 50 years! I finally narrowed it down to the chair that I wanted to purchase (see photo) and it was leather too! I had a great conversation with Kemchan who was so friendly and helpful and even took the chair to my car to fit inside which I truly appreciated. Most stores don't go that extra mile. You can negotiate prices but their current sale is so good, I didn't feel the need to. I highly recommend this place from standing desks to tables & chairs to file cabinets, this place has got it and nice quality at that. I left there so happy, I wanted to cry. I let Kemchan know that I was going to write a really good review about the establishment because it definitely was well deserved. I continued walking looking for who could help me and finally decided to just wait for the employee who greeted me at the door. As I was waiting (I know George saw me) I watched him approach a customer who had just walked in. He greeted him and asked him what he could help him with. At this point I was annoyed because I had been waiting at least 5 minutes for the other employee to finish up. After about 10 minutes the employee was done and helped me. Now, I have two things it could have been. I'm a woman and I'm not white. This stuff usually doesn't bother me this much but today it did, hence the review. If you're a person of color I'd avoid.
