The chair comes with a built-in footrest, but I still got the static footrest because it is so much sturdier and comfortable. The lumbar support, seat, and armrests are also very customizable. It is so great! Raj was so helpful and attentive! He is the absolute best. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very patient as I tested out different chairs repeatedly. If I ever need another chair (although I don't think I'll need one for a while now) or know someone who needs a new chair, this will be my first stop. I am so happy!

My partner had a chair from here that was a significant help to him because of some medical issues. That is in large part the reason why I bought the chair for him as a gift. There was an issue with which the staff member/owner/whatever he is helped in a quick and efficient manner, which was much appreciated. However, the chair has been having issues for some time; the manufacturer had not provided the customer service that would be expected for especially such a large purchase. So we started working with the store instead in hopes to get some assistance as the chair continue to break down and becoming more and more unstable. But after almost a week after having sent requested information to the store about the issues, there had been no response or communication. I called to get an update and was told that a ticket had been submitted two days earlier with the manufacturer. This was never mentioned via response email or anything, and we never would have known this had I not contacted to find out what the radio silence was about. The products that are sold here are generally sold to people who need them for a reason. Most people--like me--are not purchasing a lift chair as an amusement (there are a lot more fashionable and less expensive chairs that I could purchase). So it's really disappointing that the store and what may be biggest manufacturer don't really seem to have the sense of urgency that or customer service prowess that one would expect when helping the specific population that they have set out a shingle to serve, and for the expense of their products.

I went with my husband hoping to find a office chair or some furniture to use until my furniture arrives via Pod in a few months. Anyway they allowed (1) free piece of furniture and also was selling preused furniture for $39 and $99 bucks. We really lucked out. My husband found a big chair for our living room for free. We purchased a huge book case for my office. In addition to these pieces, we found a rolling ottoman and a side table. We were thrilled with our finds. This wharehouse is open to the public and had a floor dedicated to sale/clearance items and a bunch of new items too. The prices seemed reasonable on the new items too. Checkout website for items currently on sale. I would like to shout-out Mark (owner) and Junior for having awesome customer service. Junior helped me with approximating how many yards of fabric I would need to reupholster the chair that we got for free. Oh yes, I failed to mentioned they have lots of fabric for sale. At the event the fabric was only $5 a yard. Such a deal. The installers were really great and the senior one had worked there for several decades, that alone tells me that this is a good company both to work for and do business with. The installer told me the story of the first time he had installed my furniture when they sold it to the original owner, and about when he refinished it when the company let the owner trade it in. Amazing. I literally searched all over Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin to try to find used traditional furniture and this company was the only one with any real choices in furniture. If I ever expand my office space, Second Systems will be my first call for more furniture.

With the unnamed competitor (I'll give you a hint, think "feather + ink"), we dealt with single orders coming in several shipments with several invoices (very annoying), they'd sometimes take up to a week to deliver, and FORGET customer service - it was all very corporate, cold, uncaring, and inconsistent. It must be a huge call center, because writing down the names of the reps I spoke to didn't do anything. If someone named "Mary" said she wrote notes on our account, the next person I'd speak to would not only say they don't see notes, but they don't know who "Mary" is. Nothing but headaches. It's been office supply bliss ever since we switched.
