They placed my order for business cards in-store ! I paid on the spot. It turns out they placed it wrong, so they cancelled it and created a new one without telling me. Never reached out to me saying that I needed to pay for the updated ones (no email or phone call). So here I am 2 weeks later, checking in to see where they are at with the cards. You dont need a tone of pictures. The location is under construction, but you can tell that it is barely noon and the floor has not been vacuumed from the previous day. The frustration is coming in to the printing services now a second time and then the employee tells you they don't know how to use the system at all (hits now i am a employee not getting paid to train your staff- make it make now I'm an employee night, since leadership )and hoping that they print on your labels correctly so that you don't rest any more time or paper.not sure what's going on or if this location is under new management, but we have to do better and how we train our employees and make sure that the communication and clear so that there's a proper expectation. It is frustrating that the staff argues with you after sharing they dont know how to use the system. Smh and then turns the screen back to you to figure out which label needs to be printed out. This also may be a personal growth for me and learning more patients. As a small business owner, you have to learn to work with other people, regardless of their lack of customer service skills. read more

Better website, better employees. Service was non-existent. Promise was an item I needed was in stock and available. Promise was 2 handicap carts available in every store. Nope. None of the above. I limped through the store looking in vain for the product not there. Collapsed in a display chair, looking at what I hadn't searched. I began to roll myself around in the chair using my cane. I spotted a larger chair and swapped. Continued through the rest of the store, past check out and through the door all the way to my car. I wish I could have heard the employee's excuse. read more

I came to Office Depot to mail a Federal Express box to my mom for her birthday! I walked in, the Federal Express counter was to the left. The man who helped me was Kirk Christian. He was such a good help to me. He explained to me the different options for my package, he explained insurance, he explained the difference between the shipping. He was very patient and kind. I will come back to the store for every Federal Express package I have or any other needs that I have for office supplies. They also have greeting cards. I highly recommend this store. I drove 25 miles one way to pick up ink for my printer. The sales person was i obviously not happy and let me know about her problems. I am a normally a kind soul, so I listened and consoled her and wished her a better week. When I got home and put the ink in my printer, I realized I had grabbed the wrong ink cartridges. When I called back (within 12 hrs) to ask for an exchange... with the receipt and all the packaging &, cartridges, except they were not wrapped in plastic, the manager of the store said it was outside their return policy that they could not exchange or refund. I was out the $75. On my fixed income, $75 is a lot to have to just throw away. You would think that as much as these big retailers are struggling, they would strike deals with Canon and Epson and other large clients to occasionally accept returns with good reason. I'm super disappointed and will now find another way to get my ink, and all other business needs - after I save up the money to replace the loss + the new purchase. Office Depot is now off my retail shopping list. They have lost a customer for life. read more

I bought an Office Depot brand printer color ink cartridge that was defective. I took it back with the ink obviously leaking out of it (in a zip lock bag) & they would not refund or replace it. I talked to a manager & was told that their policy is that if you open it, you can't return it. The one exception is that if it's the Office Depot brand that they will take it back within 14 days. I buy replacement ink before I'm in desperate need of it & didn't know if it was within the 14 days period or not as I couldn't find my receipt. To top it off, I mentioned that it's an Office Depot remanufactured ink cartridge & it was the first time in all the 20 years that I've been shopping at that location that I've never gotten a defective cartridge, but I was certain this one was defective & showed it to him. The manager stated outright that they don't remanufacture. It is stated in the fine print on the box that "This remanufactured ink cartridge is safe for your printer." He was not knowledgeable of their product by saying that! I have no intention of returning to a place of business that won't stand behind their products or treat a customer with more respect. Manager said they didn't have any back-stock, which I constantly hear from lazy OD employees who just don't want to look. Every OD I go to has a back-stock. This place has the worst service ever!!!! I walked in expecting to copy and fax some documents and there was one person in line before me. I signed in the line and it said my wait would be 5 minutes. There was one guy there and he just aggressively told us to go over to the side of the office. Me and my dad waited there for 10 minutes and the guy never came over and helped and we eventually left and went to the fed ex that was a 15 minute drive away. I know faxing is like a self service thing but nobody was there to ask for help. read more

There is some consistent mislabelling of SSD sale items at this location. Make sure you double check the size and price of the item before checking out. Be prepared for the hassle of walking back to the displayed item to show the staff the size and price even if you bring the tag to the register. read more

Went for a dual screen and he said they only sell them online, like out stuff back in stores. ALSO, it said no mask no exceptions but if you read the CDC guidelines it CLEARLY says people with issues breathing SHOULD NOT wear them, so what? Those people can't go to Office Depot without being harassed for not wearing a mask? You want them to wear them and pull them off just their noses so you 'feel better' because 'they're wearing a mask'. So the mandatory mask signage is pretty ridiculous. read more

I looked on-line at file cabinets for my husband's work space at home, after our move. We wanted beige metal cabinets, to match our dining room furniture. Jacob and Chris assisted me-- but Jacob left me after a few minutes to hep an older gentleman who was complaining about not enough help. I looked at a few other things, went back to Jacob, who handed me off to Chris, who had been out to lunch. Chris found me the file cabinet immediately-- & I got the additional items I needed. But, in the hand-off-- Jacob had told me to meet him at the front for the order of the file cabinet, and I didn't know where to go--as he was pre-occupied. I went to the front check-out area, & the lady rang up the wrong file cabinet, $40 more-- set it up to be delivered to the store. I said "...no, Jacob said it could come to our house in Sun City". The cashier said, ok, we need to cancel this order, & redo it with Jacob at his counter area. I told Jacob he wasted 15minutes of my time-- & I still needed to go to Sprouts before I could head back to Sun City. And it was 4:00 pm already. He said it was my fault, for not coming up to the right counter in the first place. I told him I had run four separate businesses in my lifetime-- & my Sales Reps were always trained to stay with the customer! That did not make me happy! Huh!! I ordered items, before noon, for a same day pickup and shortly thereafter, received a receipt and confirmation for my same day pickup order. The store closes at 8 and having yet to receive notice my order is ready, I call at 7:30pm to find out my order status, only to be told my same day order would not be ready until the following day...I'm quite disappointed and will not be using or visiting Office Depot for any reason in the future. read more

The work they do here is good, it's just very slow. They wait on you, start processing, then move on to the next customer. Sounds great. But you stuff is almost done, meanwhile they are in the middle of the next guest. Your project gets delayed. Good work, but have a lot of time when you go there. It will be a while. read more

I was in search for a good office chair for my soon to be college student who will have a heavy load her first semester. Another family member wanted to look at a competing discount big box store that didn't have a chair my college student could try out, sit in and adjust. I needed copies of our Christmas newsletter and was running late because of a printer failure, and the local Postal Annex was closed on Sunday, so wifey suggested Office Depot. Their web site said they opened at 10:00 AM on Sunday, but based on other Yelp reviews, I called first to make sure that the color printer was in service and not backed up. Turns out they did not open until 11:00AM and I received a "Store Not Open Now" robomessage. So I found the REAL hours by checking the phone menu option for Store Hours, and saved an hour I would have wasted waiting for them to open. When they did open, the lady said the color printer was operating and free, so I rushed on over, about a 30 minute trek through Round Rock traffic (on a Sunday!). The color printer was indeed operating and unoccupied. The Printer Lady suggested a heavier paper stock for color printing, and the job commenced and completed in about 10 minutes. In the interim, another customer with some beef started talking to the Printer Lady, and I waited another 10 minutes for the line crasher to finish his dicsussion so I could simply pick up and pay for my copies. I had provided a pristine master printed with the best quality print available on my new printer on glossy photo paper, and the final copies matched exactly for color and quality, but at a rather pricy $0.71 per copy. But for quality copies on a Sunday for a newsletter for dozens of family members and friends, it was worth getting them finished and mailed in time for Christmas. I deducted a star for misinformation on the web site and making me wait 10 minutes for a 30 second pickup and payment transaction. read more

Its one of the few Office Depots in RR, and in THE worst location it can possibly be. Its tucked in the old Albertsons/Randalls shopping center where Sprouts is. AKA good luck finding parking. Sheesh. BUT--- Im sure this location is just as sufficient as any. I rated them poorly because they wouldnt print off Minecraft valentines templates for my kids. I loved the Pflugerville one, but no longer live out that way. Would I be discouraged from using Office Depot-- not likely. read more

About 5 weeks ago I purchased a new battery backup/surge protector for a server at my office. Yesterday during the storm it failed and every time I plugged it in no matter which outlet, it would trip the breaker. Obviously it was faulty. I found my receipt and took it back to trade for a new one this morning, but was unable to get a replacement. They only warranty this for 2 weeks. The clerk kept asking me why I didn't bring it back with the original packaging. I tried to explain that it was working and the storm took it out. They are supposed to withstand power outages and surges. So, I said I will be going somewhere else to buy a replacement and will not buy that same brand. All I got was, I am sorry, have a good day! I was assured on a Friday that my business card could be printed exactly as it was, but with the requested copy change. I agreed to a 3 day window for picking them up. They still were not ready a week later. I stood and waited at the counter while new customers were waited on, which I thought was rather rude. Finally, I was given a printed card to approve on light weight stock! It was then that I learned they could NOT produce a card like I had given them as they had no heavy card stock! Opened to 9 p.m I came here to print out some papers and it only cost me 10 cents each. The store was very organized and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. When I called in earlier my call went through right away. I will ALWAYS come back here to print out stuff! The most intriguing thing I saw as I was leaving were high heels which I thought were real but when I looked a bit closer it was a tape holder o.o i wish I had more time to browse but unfortunately it was 5 mins to closing. Be careful using the new mail and business center at this location. We waited for 30 minutes trying to send a Federal Express. The FedEx never got delivered even though we paid for it. The letter was important and had a deadline. When we called, the female manager could have cared less. She searched and found the package and told us it would be delivered next day (three days after we dropped it off and paid for it). Go to FedEx, not this location. The store is usually pretty empty and the employees are friendly enough but don't actually walk you to the section you need but instead point across the store. It's a weird thing to come into a store and the first thing you hear is a manager berating an employee. Very unprofessional! The associate at the print center was very polite and helpful. She was sadly the one being berated. Why? She was helping an old man with his job and the manager was telling her to tell him to come back later and work on other jobs instead. How rude! I was today at this Office Depot to print my business cards, and the Assistant Manager Mabel, was very rude with me. She told me that It will take a while and that I need come back later because all the employees are designated to the floor area only. Well, the store was empty, in the print center there was only a lady before me and her job was already printing. I'm a graphic artist, and my 2 files were ready to print and she made a BIG issue about this in front of the associate, my daughter and the other customer. I finally had to open a yelp account because of the terrible service from this Office Depot. That hillbilly manager, I think she said her name was Kim, is awful. She was rude and acted like her time was too important to help us. She was too busy talking to another employee and laughing about something. The other employee, a heavier young woman, was giving me an awful look just because I interrupted their private conversation. I have never wanted to leave a review and only opened a yelp account today because I was blown away by how rude these two were. The other employees were friendly. Can I please rate ZERO STARS?!?! I placed an online print order 02/27; the estimated pick up time was 7 p.m. No one called to say they couldn't print, nor was a message sent via email. When I arrived at 8:30 pm to pick up the prints, I was informed that they had run out of magenta ink and could not complete my order. The Round Rock store had to send the order to another store for pick up the next morning. But Jocelyn in Round Rock sent me to the WRONG store in San Antonio. Upon arrival at the correct store, I was not greeted and had the slowest, least helpful service possible. I then paid $26.33 MORE than the online order. I asked the print cashier why it was over $20 more than the original order. She mumbled something incoherent about online discounts (AGAIN, NOT MY FAULT THE ORDER COULDN'T BE PROCESSED ONLINE!) which I would have had her apply. Unfortunately, by that time I could not wait to speak with a manager or enter codes because I was then going to be late to my meeting. I will never send another print order to Office Depot/Office Max and will shop their competition religiously. FedEx Office, here I come! read more
