What a great place to be! I recently had a small Project of copying documents in as high fidelity as possible for office use; stuff like degrees and certs to hang on a wall. Ideally you want quality paper and as good a scan as possible. Well that's exactly what I was able to accomplish with the help of this Office Depot on Bird Road. The place was clean, I was welcomed when I came in and the copies were the best quality I'd seen in all the places I ended up going to. Also, it was SUPER inexpensive, even for a few 11"x14" printouts it was only a few dollars. I walked away very satisfied with the interaction and cost effectiveness. Great experience, great place. The print center is great! they do color copies on paper and transparencies in regular and legal size while you wait. They laminate too. I also had bindings chopped off very large books and have them three hole punched. Darcy gives fantastic customer service and trouble shot the printer so I didn't waste my time going there. This store sold a faulty Lenovo IdeaPad 5. And since this was a surprise birthday gift for me, I hadn't been able to turn on the computer and check it until it was past its exchange date by a week (exchange/return date is within 2 weeks). This was definitely on me, but I do not think Office Depot should be selling a faulty laptop in the first place. I called their listed number +1-800-463-3768 and a nice gentleman explained to me that because of the office policy, he couldn't do anything about it. While you can find all of your home & office needs on your own its those times you need to speak to someone that's a problem. Welcome to Office Depot, the land of expensive office products and selection-limited aged electronics. But there are still some things Office Depot can do better than Amazon and its online competitors... The other day I found a post on Slickdeals.net that pointed to a deal on a Brother Label Maker for $8, free pickup in store. I had hesitated at a similar deal a month ago because I have regretted doing online order pickups in the past. I decided to not let the deal go, and so to make matters more entertaining, I hopped on my road bike and instead of going to my nearby Tropical Park, I went to this Office Depot. I walked in and there was a huge sign "PICK UP ONLINE ORDERS". I was quickly helped and they had my order ready for me. I didn't see a place to park my bike so I entered the premise walking it (YOLO). Overall, their employees were nice, attentive. I wouldn't suggest coming here for your next computer or printer because with a dutiful research you'd be better off online. If you need a chair or desk that you find a deal for, then it's okay. When I asked the supervisor "Willy" he stated COVID-19 is the reason why there is only 1 employee behind the huge copy center - He further explained everyday the shortage of employee increases as their paychecks decrease! Have been here a few times to pick out occasional office supplies needs. I can't say the staff is rude, they are friendly enough, but sadly incompetent and clueless, or maybe it's the corporate culture, that they seem to need direct any question or issue to the manager. Sometimes all the registers seem to at a halt as they wait for the manager to appear... The struggle is real with this one. Ive given this office depot so many chances and every time I am disappointed. I went in 2 weeks ago to get 3 workbooks hole punched and spiral binded came in around 11am waited an hour for the guy to tell me he cant get to it that he is too busy that it would be ready in 2 hours. Thankfully I called 2 hours later to check up on before driving over the same guy told me id have to come in around 6pm NOTE this is 7 full hours where they couldn't take 10 minutes to put together the workbooks. I told the guy listen hole punch them and give me the spirals and ill put them together, clearly he is incompetent and the workbooks were needed for a trip the next day. 2 weeks today, I placed an order for a poster board (foam and laminated finish). I blame myself for not opening the package up in the store and checking it just got back to the office to find the board prepared so s*****y. See pics attached the entire lining is rough cut the cutting of the laminated is all wobbly, it looks like they gave a child a pair of scissors. Not only do they have the worst customer service but the management needs to figure out the print service area; they had 4 people putting together a display for pencils and 1 guy working this section with a huge line. Its disorganized, the quality is complete crap and I swear to myself and my business we will never be back. Avoid this office depot, maybe try another location, staples or just google print project services in my area. SUCH A DISSAPOINTMENT! I wont make this mistake again. read more

Today I visited to print a simple black and white 16x20 line drawing for my architecture class. Last week I had 2 files of the same size printed and was charged roughly $5 per print. Today, for whatever reason, I was charged, $13.90 for one print. When I asked why the price was different I was told that last week I was somehow incorrectly charged. Ok, fair enough but I gotta say, that price of $13.90 is INSANE for 1 print. I paid it because I needed the print for school and the employees trying to explain why it was so expensive was making me angry but mark my words, I WILL NEVER RETURN TO ANY OFFICE DEPOT. This same print at FedEx on their plotter literally costs $2.90. You are ripping people off charging over $10 for a line print that's black and white and it seems as if your employees don't understand what the proper prices are in the store which just makes things ten times worse. I just went in to this store to buy a few things. I would say less than 20 people in the store. I was the only person at the register. OMG checkout was so PAINFUL! No basic customer service skills such as "hello"! One of my items was on sale and I had to walk back and take a picture of the sale sign. The only thing this person said to me was "enter your phone number" and only after I asked him to enter my rewards number. What is happening? And please. . . don't say under staffed! This person was standing at the register waiting for a customer! Install self checkout no human needed!! read more

Upon entering, I was not greeted in any way nor was I asked if I needed any help or direction. There were no in-store signs guiding me to the appropriate department. I needed to exchange a defective product I bought online from Office Depot; I ended up waiting 10 minutes in the wrong line to then be redirected to a different line and wait another 15. The staff didn't seem very enthused or thoroughly trained, especially not in the subtleties of customer service. One young lady looked at me very blankly when I was next in line, instead of a simple "how can I help you?" The manager (or assistant manager) was generous with his assistance, though not as welcoming as I would've liked. For this sub-par service, I would simply recommend shopping online. Getting to the store isn't worth the hassle if the staff don't effectively create a welcoming and pleasurable atmosphere as well as a memorable service experience for the customer. read more

I'm not surprised this Office Depot only gets two stars. And that's too much. I went there today as I had purchased and ink cartridge that was flawed and not working and wanted to exchange or return it. My printer was not no working so my work had been delayed. I had my invoice with me. A young man by the name of Willi did not even hear me out, looked at my invoice and said I had purchased the cartridge longer than two weeks ago, so there was nothing he could no. That's the policy. I was taken aback by his short and rude attitude, especially since this was a Manufacturing defect, and should not fall under any policy. When I asked him that I wanted to talk to the Manager, he walked away from me throwing in my face with an arrogant and cocky attitude and voice "I am the Manager. Good luck getting your money back". Wow! Arrogant, incompetent, rude, nasty and useless. Office Depot should fire this guy who does not have the slightest idea how to treat people or deal with problem situations. When I asked him for his last name he answered "I don't have a last name". if he can't stand the heat, don't step into the arena. He is best qualified to stay away from people as far as he can. I walked in to buy a desk phone... something I haven't done in years and know little about. The good folks at Best Buy actually recommended I go to Office Depot for phones (that's great customer service and builds loyalty). The guy at Office Depot didn't know about phones (I'm ok with that), but showed no interest in helping me select a phone... simply walked away. He really didn't even say "hi" come to think of it. After exploring options I walked out without a phone. Not that any of the 6 folks at the front doing nothing really cared. I was looking at the highest priced ones. My reasoning, if I'm going to do the research to make a decision, I'm better off buying online. If Office Depot can't distinguish itself with customer service and experience with a willing buyer then they have already lost to Amazon. They just don't know yet perhaps. They basically rejected to accept my ups package yesterday because I wanted to insure a small box for $1000.00 Apparently there are special handling instructions that they have to fulfill to make sure that the package doesn't get lost. All they had to do was to get the ups driver to sign for it. So when I asked the lady to lower the insurance so that it won't cause them extra work, she refused, and sent me to the ups office in nw 25th st. With traffic I lost about 45 minutes of travel time that would of been completely unnecessary. Very poor service! I still can't believe they they refused to lower the insurance to accommodate me. I basically felt like they kicked me out of their store. read more

One star, only because zero was unavailable. Horrible service and dumb employees. On 11/15/18, I was looking for a 100cmx70cm poster board and I called in advance to check if they had any. The lady on the phone, the only lady working there (for the manager to identify who it is), told me she had and would pull the poster board out to save it for me. When I arrived at the store, I asked the lady I had talked to on the phone and she said that her coworkers had put it back. She then proceeded to ask me to go get it myself, EVEN AFTER SHE HAD SUPPOSEDLY ALREADY GOTTEN IT OUT. I went to the very back of the store and, low and behold, the poster board was no where to be found. Angrily, I walked back to the front of the store and asked her to help me look for the board. She then asked one of her coworkers to go and help me. He took 20 minutes to search for the non-existent board in the database (probably manually in every store in the nation at the rate he was going). All in all, the board was never in the store and I wasted 3 hours of my time because an imbecile was too idiotic to tell me that THERE WAS NO POSTER BOARD. So yeah, 10-out-of-10 service! read more
