But the big thing about purchasing at Crowley these last times is the excellent customer service! Ashley was great in-store customer service, yes, but I have also experienced an outstanding and truly helpful service department with people who do all they can to make it right. That's excellent added value for reasonably priced furniture. I am waiting for today's furniture delivery-- in a month...I continue to expect a positive experience.

That chair has had lots of use and still works just like new! The next purchase was a couch which I've used for years. The fabric still looks like new. No wear or stains but the cushions were starting to sag a little and my back was starting to ache because of it. I decided that it was time to look at new sofas. Maybe one that reclines? Also I wanted a bed that was a little smaller and that I could raise and lower head/feet. Well, I discovered that Crowley now has a store in Blue Springs so one day, on a whim, I went in just to take a look around. And there was Leslie. She greeted me and I told her I was just going to look around. No plans for purchase--just starting what I expected to be a long hunt. She gave me a quick overview of how the store was laid out and said to come get her if I had any questions or needed help. I didn't get very far before I fell in love with a dining table. The perfect replacement for my clunky, hand-me-down/needs refinishing table. I found Leslie and told her to mark that one "SOLD". At that point I explained to her my plan to move from a house into an apartment in the near future. Almost like a mind reader and as though she were on the hunt for the perfect pieces with me, she helped me narrow down what it was I really needed and wanted. She was amazing. I never felt rushed, pushed or oversold. She listened so well that it was like turning my wishes into reality. In the end I felt like she was more friend than a sales person. As I was leaving, I asked her how many years she had been there and was so shocked it was only a few. She is just a natural. The bed/mattress I ended up with was exactly what I needed. But my favorite thing of all is the couch. I wanted a reclining couch with overstuffed arms but I had limited wall space. She helped me find the perfect one and it even had lumbar support (something I need desperately but didn't know existed). The only problem...I really hated the leather look and colors. I spent a lot of time with the swatches and finally found one that I liked better than the rest. Still not in love. When she came back to check on me, I made the comment that I sure wish the fabric wasn't just for pillows because I love color and pattern. She pointed out a group of swatches I totally missed -- they were fabric and there it was, Red!! A beautiful, glorious shade of red. LOVE!!! I think she was almost as excited as I was. Anyway, all the furniture is in place now and every piece is good quality and exactly what I need. I wouldn't change a thing. I even ended up having Crowley replace the foam in my old couch cushions. Like new! So that couch is now in my spare bedroom in place of a futon more suited for a dorm room. So happy I started my search at Crowley's. I'm sure the other sales associates are wonderful but as far as I'm concerned--Leslie is my hero. She made my search painless!!

I was shopping at the Office Depot in Lees Summit on Sunday, 2/9/2025…read more I needed to print some documents. I went to the print desk and there was a woman and her daughter standing there waiting for help and BEN - the Office Depot empoyee was on the phone (I later found out he was the manager on duty). He appeared to be on hold as he was speaking to the woman and her daughter. I asked if I needed to stand in line to use the printer (I had never done this before) and he was SO RUDE! He said I am trying to have a conversation on the phone and I only have 2 ears. (he said more but I was so shocked I didnt hear it all) The woman and her daughter looked at me in disbelief as well. I apologized and stated that I thought he was on hold. He continued to say rude things to me for interrupting him. I finished my printing and apoligized again. .He said nothing.. I went to check out with other items that I had and I told his coworker how rude he was to me. She said oh he is rude to everyone including me. She said that customers complain all the time and nothing is done about it. I filled out my survey to let Office Depot know how rude he was and haven't heard anything back. You know, it only takes a minute to be kind. There is no reason to be spoken to the way I was. I would like to say I will never ro to office depot again but I know some day I will have to but I will avoid people like BEN!

I decided to call them and when I did, I spoke with an employee who told me that my print job would be ready the next day and to call back the next day. When I called back the next day, the print manager told me that there was nothing she could do for me, despite the miscommunication between her and her team. She was rude and not helpful at all. I decided to call OfficeMax in Olathe and the person I spoke with in the print department was very helpful. I recommend the Olathe location 100%. Also, while I was there, there was an older woman who needed help sending information to their email, and the employee refused to help her because it was almost time for the employee to get off. would not recommend Lees summit location!

New ownership has not helped the customer service at this store. They are sticklers for the RULES…read moreand are inflexible. They claim their franchise agreement dictates how customers must pack Amazon returns being dropped off, yet Amazon tells me it doesn't really matter. The previous ownership and management would make exceptions when it made sense and when customer service dictated. Instead, UPS is coming to my house for free to pick it up and the driver won't care at all. Once Amazon starts offering shipping services and they compete head to head with UPS, I think these UPS stores will lose a lot of their foot traffic.
