I have used these guys for two custom built systems. The first system was a power house, a screaming system that worked great for a number of years. The second system was okay. There was a missing slot in the back where it looked liked they put in a card slot of some sort but removed it. For some reason, I never really thought to question it. If you get a computer from these guys and see something like it-question it. Question it seriously. With my recent system, I have been experiencing some problems with it when trying to edit video. I took it into another local computer repair shop to look at it for me. I upgraded the RAM but he said I needed a video card. He tried to install a couple video cards but neither worked. He realized there was a "dead spot" on the motherboard. Same reason my USB drives on the front of my computer weren't working properly. So it's logical to conclude that empty slot in the back was where they tried to install a video card, but instead of replacing the motherboard with one that properly works, they decided to sell me the computer without a proper video card. And also knowing full well there were "dead spots" in the motherboard. Who does this? What kind of computer store worth any kind of reputation would treat a customer like this? Another thing I found out was the heat sink they put in my unit was for AMD, but I am running on Intel. This is just sloppy work, and leaves a very bad impression. Come to think of it, I recall after I got the computer, the CD/DVD drive wasn't working properly either. When I took it in, the guy working there got angry about it and broke the door off the drive. He installed another CD/DVD drive in a different slot. Hmmm... probably was an issue with that faulty mother board you put in there, I would imagine? If you don't want a reliable system, want a computer place that cuts corners, out right ignores faulty equipment they put in their custom built systems, and charge you a premium price, this place is for you. But I suggest if you want great service and a computer shop that actually takes pride in putting the best custom systems that will run for years and years to come, shop elsewhere. I am giving two stars- one star for the horrible custom built they sold me a few years back that I now realize was faulty out their door, and one extra star for the custom build they sold me before that that actually ran like a champ. The lack of consistency and lack of taking pride in their work and fixing issues that customers may not realize are a problem until years down the road is a reason to avoid these clowns. They don't value their customers at all. They treat them like putzes. read more

My hard drive failed. Went to Best Buy paid way too much for annual tech support to see if they could recover any of my data. Total lack of communication and 5 days later find out they couldn't recover any files. I needed that data. So I called One Stop Computer Shop. Fast, friendly efficient service. No annual contract. Two days later I have all my data off that hard drive stored on a flash drive. Strongly recommend these guys. Suggest you avoid Best Buy. read more

I sold my laptop here previously and got a very reasonable price for a cheap computer. This time I was in desperate need of a printer power cord for school and when I called he said they would cover the tax. But when I got there he told me to go home and try it out and next time I'm around come in and pay. I don't think I've had this sort of customer service in a very long time! read more

I've used One Stop Computer Shop to replace my iPhone screen three times (apparently I put my phone through a lot) and I've been happy with the customer service and the results each time. On my most recent visit, I was worried that my phone might have been dead forever from water in the screen, but the guy checked that it was just the screen and not the rest of the phone before starting any work. I ended up saving a lot of money by making this repair rather than buying a new phone. Highly recommend! read more

My husband and I chose to bring our computer to this shop as: 1) it was locally owned; and 2) they had good reviews online. Our hard drive crashed and they were able to replace and install a new one in 2 days for pretty cheap. I can't remember how much but it didn't seem over priced at the time. Not only is this place and one of the guys there completely unprofessional acting, but they obviously have no idea what they are doing. Both of the 2 computers that were taken here (one of them twice because the first time I thought there was something else wrong with it.) came back not only worse than before, but completely unusable now. I contacted them and whichever guy answered the phone was a complete jerk and his answer was that we must have done something to them. Well I took them to another shop to be looked at as soon as the 2nd one came back the 2nd time and they were both infected with viruses and loaded with junk and had necessary components removed that were needed to run. Again the answer was that we must have done something to it, which was impossible since the computer wouldn't even boot up. Explain to me how that happens. I also find it interesting that after looking at reviews I found that the same 3 favorable reviews show up on several review sites. Also I noticed that not all reviews are showing. You have to dig for the true reviews that give a true picture of this business and the fact that they will only make your computer worse. Beware don't take any of your electronics here. Wish I could give this place negative stars. read more

Used them to repair and recover files off my destroyed iPhone 5. It was cheaper than insurance was going to charge me and I was only without my phone for a few hours here. My parents and relatives have used them after having problems with other local repair shops. They have Saturday hours which is nice for someone who works Monday-Friday. Their prices are half what the Geeksquad quoted me to fix my work laptop, so I will be seeing them very soon. read more

I was looking for a local shop to repair my laptop and found this place when I stopped in to drop off my computer the technician said somebody would contact me with an update within 24 to 48 hours. well I did not get a call after 4 days so I call to check on the status and I asked why wasn't I called and he said they have been so busy and that he would start on it that evening and call me the next day. I waited all day for a call but never got it so I called and some other person answer which I assumed was the owner I explained the situation and he said it's siting on the techs desk and to pick it up and take it somewhere else this was unbelievable I just asked what the status was on it the owner was very unprofessional - rude -arrogant and not customer service oriented at all and he had a bad attitude and when I picked up the computer I found they never even started working on it . this place is terrible I don't know how they stay open don't waist your time with this place. it's places like this that keeps America from being great again. read more

I went in looking for a simple computer cable, but this was a terrible experience from the moment I walked in. I opened the door and the man behind the desk was not wearing a mask, nor did he put one on after I entered. I stayed by the door describing the computer cable I needed, but before I could finish a sentence he kept interrupting me telling me I didn't know what I was actually looking for. I continued to try and explain, and I even said I have a picture of the specific cable I need but that I was uncomfortable approaching any closer because he wasn't wearing a mask that is required per the Jackson County mandate, and I have been trying to be very careful during the pandemic. He ignored my request for him to put on a mask and continued to condescend and interrupt me as I tried to explain what I needed. I once again mentioned him not wearing a mask, and he once again ignored my request. At that point I left because I no longer felt safe and it was clear he had no intention of putting on a mask or attempting to be helpful. All he continued to do was condescend and tell me I don't know what I'm looking for as I left. Overall a terrible, rude experience. I will never return. read more

I ordered a laptop from these guys on the advice of a friend. I couldn't be happier. It is refurbished but looks new, operates perfectly and has a guarantee. They shipped out of state, more reasonably than the local big box store would ship and it arrived well packaged and quickly. Can't see any downside. read more
