TO THE OWNER/MANAGER OF THIS STORE: please, PLEASE hire new people or speak to your current employees about customer service - I'm begging you. It's honestly absurd the way these people behave and interact with customers. I get it - this probably isn't their dream job, but I'm legit scared of the people who work here. I come here weekly for work and they truly seems PISSED that they have to help mail things. Rude, dismissive, more interested in their phones and talk with each other, often rolling their eyes at customers... I'm always happy when I make it out without tears in my eyes. The previous owners were wonderful people but this place has gone downhill fast since new owners took over. Openly hostile, disorganized staff will pick a fight with you over the simplest questions. Came for Notary services, as advertised by the large green neon notary sign in the window. Was told flippantly "that's the previous owners". Asked why the notary sign was still lit up in the window. Was yelled out of the store. Also the prices are super high. I will trudge back to the bread line post office on South 4th to avoid this place. read more

Change your store hours if you can't be bothered to open on time on a Saturday! We arrived to drop off a package at 10:20am (they supposedly open at 10am) and stood outside for almost 10 minutes before they let us in. When the rude woman with the short red hair unlocked the door, she repeatedly started yelling at the group waiting outside to make drop offs, "IT'S SATURDAY!! IT'S SATURDAY!!! Go ahead, get in...." huffing and puffing as if we are inconveniencing her. Lady, if you are opening a store, it is common practice to open when store hours are listed. Don't take it out on the customers if you can't handle your job. At least the person helping at the counter was nice, which is why I'm rating this a 2 star review instead of a 1. read more

Horrible service and total rip off prices. Went there to print 16 color pages. They wanted to charge me $16 (!!) although the price per page is $0,5. So I should have been charged $8. They said the extra $8 was for using the computer... I actually used it to go to my mail and press the print button. Using gmail for 5 minutes.... $8 ? At this rate, using their shitty computers is more expensive than renting a luxury car. They ended up charging me $12, "if that makes you feel any better they said". Almost insulting me saying I should have read the rates before starting the whole thing (the written rates are 20 cents a minute for computer use). Those guys deserve to go out of business. We deserve a better shipping center. read more

So, I walk in thinking hey let me print and ship some stuff (10/18/15). Haven't been here since last year, didn't like the big haired lady to rude. But now the store is pretty well stocked, staff is somewhat helpful. Computers are decent I personally like the other place on Bedford better. I've had issues with dropping off mail at the mailbox on the street and it never reaches the recipient. This place is wild. Definitely go once just to know that it exists. Here are a few of my experiences: The two clerks that typically work there are extremely unprofessional. I have seem them throw packages on two occasions. I'm not exaggerating. They didn't set them down hard. They THREW them. Once to someone who seemed like a regular. An envelope thrown like a frisbee. And another time the package was thrown into a sorting bin in the back room. Regardless of if that person is their best friend its really unprofessional to throw a package in front of other customers. On another occasion one of the clerks was sitting on the back counter on her phone. There wasn't a big line but I'm not sure how any manager would let that be the thing you see when you walk in the door. Once I walked in mid-day on a week day, no line, one other person in the store shopping for office supplies. Two clerks behind the counter. One looks at me, looks at the other clerk and says "DO YOU SMELL THAT?!" referring to me. I was so caught off guard and offended. I'm rarely speechless but I think my jaw hit the floor. On another occasion I packaged a UPS ground package in a UPS express envelope. The clerk told me UPS would REFUSE the package. He didn't say "sorry Maam but UPS has a rule that they do not accept packages in this packaging." He said "I'm a minimum wage employee and I don't make the rules. Leave it here if you want but they will refuse it." I've shipped a lot of mail and know that this is not the case. They want you to use the right packaging because Express packing is free and ground packing costs money. He set my package to the side on the back counter which made me feel like he wasn't going to ship it. So I asked for it back and said I would ship it elsewhere. I was a bit frustrated that they were being so strict about the rules, but understood they didn't want to be responsible for a left package, which is why I said I would take it elsewhere. Why he decided to reveal his pay is....beyond me. Last week I saw another girl use the wrong envelope. She had already written the address on the outside and sealed it up. The clerk said "you're not going to ship that in that envelope" and OPENED THE ENVELOPE and dumped out the contents on the counter. I wanted to ship a UPS package to a client and didn't want to say their address or phone number out loud. I instead handed a piece of paper with the written address to the clerk. Once I realized she couldn't read my handwriting I offered to read it out loud. She then said "I SWEAR THIS IS WHAT IT SAYS " and held up the paper as if I was in the wrong. There's no music in that store or any noise and I was speaking close to her but she kept saying "WHAT" "WHAT". The transaction took about 5 mins and I had also dropped off two packages. She gave me the receipt for the UPS package but not the others. So I asked for that receipt and she said, "sorry there's a line behind you...." That makes NO sense. In conclusion, the people in this store seem to have never worked in or visited any other store in their life. Unfortunately this is where UPS leaves my packages when I am not home so I don't have much choice but to visit this weird hole into another universe on the reg. I feel like they need some kind of undercover boss thing to happen....It's really crazy. Go see for yourself. read more

I do all my shipping here, this place is awesome. Really helpful and they have every option across the board so you can choose the one that is most cost effective -- USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. Isa was especially helpful when I needed to ship a bunch of golf clubs and mail, she sorted it all out for me. Would definitely recommend this over the local post office. read more

Update: A friend went to this store not too long after I did and got similar snotty treatment from a different clerk. Because this place comes up when you search for "post office", he thought he was going to a real post office, not the place I warned him about. As a consequence, there was much eye rolling and snotty behavior. In response to the owners comments, I have to say that perhaps I made a mistake by not knowing how their POS system worked and perhaps the clerk made a mistake by not telling me how long that particular method would take before adding it up . People make mistakes. I was willing to pay for that postage anyway. You should be more interested as to why I didn't pay for it and why I walked out and wrote this review. You missed the point unless you believe that all of your customers are morons and deserve to be treated that way. Original Review: said words today that I never thought that I would say. I mail a lot of packages and the post office is a long trek from my apartment. it sounded great. Great customer service without the hassle of long lines and no air conditioning. I was sold. I am not a fan of the post office. They lose packages, fail to deliver stuff but I'll say one thing for them, I go in with all of my various packages with different delivery deadlines and they always tell me all of my options, explain delivery times and COLLECT MY MONEY BEFORE THEY PRINT OUT THE POSTAGE. The woman that I dealt with had already printed out the postage when I asked her when the package would be delivered. When I explained that it wasn't what I wanted, I had the pleasure of being her moron for the day. I don't keep all of the postage options in my head, so yeah, maybe I'm a moron but I'm a moron with money to pay to ship packages. That's how you treat customers that you don't want to return. I was actually going to pay for the postage that you printed, as soon as we worked out the right way to get my package there on time, but I changed my mind when you started flying through the other options faster than my poor stupid brain could handle them. Do not go to the side of the counter where the new facial-haired white guy is working. Calculate your place in line based on getting anyone else to help you. He recently told me he "heard" it would take "a couple of months" for a letter to get to France (took 7 days to get to a rural area), and today he tried to convince me that a "flat rate" package to Europe through USPS needed to be flat, as in the thickness of a letter. I've used this joint many times over the years. It's more convenient than my local post office, and the employees have always been helpful with advice about packing and cheapest rates, etc. If you buy the packing material there, you pay for that convenience but the actual shipping is standard. read more

I was hoping that once the new management took over from Tiger Lily, customer service would improve and that the line would move faster. Unfortunately, an expanded store just means more room for a longer line to form. At least at Tiger Lily they would call out to ask if anyone was waiting with packages that were ready to go and just needed to be dropped off. Now, I hesitate to go in there at all because I know that there will be a 20 minute wait to turn over a package that is paid for and ready to go out, and if I ask to just drop it and not wait in line, the response will be less than friendly. They need an area and a big sign to let people know where the outgoing mail should be placed. read more

This place is great. I've gone here a ton. The staff is super-friendly and knowledgeable and always gets you the best rate. When I sent a friend some children's books for his daughter, they told me to use media mail--and it was like $3 to send from NYC to Minneapolis. Way cheaper than I'd expected. (And had I sent it priority mail instead it would have been like $8.) They also double-checked how I had packed something really delicate and assured me that how I had done it meant it wouldn't break--it didn't. They don't gouge you on prices for packing materials either, so if something needs a little extra protection, you can get it last minute at a totally reasonable rate, no convenience tax. I'm so glad this is within walking distance from my house. read more

Not really worth it if you are shipping out using USPS because going to the post office is cheaper and offers faster shipping times. I weighed my package and priced out Priority Mail online before taking it here because I was curious whether it would cost the same. Postage here was nearly $15 more expensive (when total shipping was under $50). When I drop a package off at the Williamsburg post office, it will have departed the Bethpage sorting facility and be on it's way by the next day. With, this place, it took two days before my package started on it's way (which renders 2-day Priority Mail pointless). The only advantage is that there wasn't any line for this place...but there is probably a reason for that. read more

Today I went to pick up a UPS package in my husbands name but my id has the same address. I was not allowed to pick it up because of a policy of OFFICE 11206. UPS policy is that it can be picked up with an ID & tracking number as long as the address is exactly the same. It was my right to get this package and my whole day was ruined because it was a gift for my mother that I needed today. I had to go out an buy something else and send the package back. I asked the manager if I could speak to the owner and she said she was the only one that I could speak to about this matter. Apparently something was stolen in the past that caused her to change the policy but why should I not have the right to get my package following UPS rules. She was dismissive, rude and unhelpful. I have lived in this area for 20 years. I go in there all the time and I have no desire to ever step my foot back into that establishment. She surely knew who I was and could careless to help me. read more

FAST -- SUPER FRIENDLY -- SUPER EFFICIENT -- KIND -- VERY LITTLE WAIT --in a nutshell if you don't have time to read the whole review. :) if you do: this postal place is the very best. I love it! I always receive kind service, even when they are slammed (thats SO hard to do), they always seem to be in a good mood and are somehow playful while being very fast, they are quick and smart and know what they are doing, and when I have some problem or another they always genuinely try to help me find a solution. For example, I went in today to send super important medicine that was accidentally left behind, I was freaking out as it was cut-off 6:30 on the nose, and everyone at the place came to my aid in some way. Adrian, the manager, painstakingly helped me gather all the information we needed to get the package out, and never once made me feel disorganised (which I am) or dumb (.... well.. I guess I have my moments....) I was offered water and a chair (I was kind of hyperventilating...) and a box of tissues :) Their support, their kindness and their lack of judgment meant the world -- I would not have been able to do it without. SHIPPERS BEWARE! Absolutely horrible experience with Office 11206's new location on Lorimer St. I had shipped two packages with them. It's been two weeks and the recipients have yet to receive the packages. I specifically requested tracking information to check the packages' status along the way but the tracking #s show both packages stuck in the same New Jersey sorting facility for 10 days (I'm not sure but I believe this happens when a package is not scanned throughout its route). When I called up Office 11206 to inquire, they told me the packages must still be in New Jersey then. In my own experience, I think that would be highly improbable. The young woman I spoke with on the phone proceeded to speak very rudely to me when I asked about tracking. Completely unhelpful. I have been going to Tiger Lily Shipping (the old owners of the shipping location) for years and never had a problem. I find it more than coincidental that the first two packages I ship with Office 11206 just so happen to go missing. Until they get a better handle of shipping services, and a more polite and knowledgeable staff, I will not be returning. read more

I love the location of this small post office but the customer service Absolutely Sucks! And it's not from all their reps but from a young lady by the name of Natasha. She is rude, obnoxious, and seems to have bad days every single day. She delivers the same exact service I can receive at my local post office which is why I decided I rather not even get frustrated by going there. The last time I was there, a young man wanted to put his items into a box to have it shipped but she kept insisting she would put it in an envelope, they went back and forth for a while with him reminding her he would be paying for every single item he used and still she told him it she would send it in an envelope. After he finally gave up she said she would do it later. I was there for 20 minutes and it still hadn't been packed in the envelope she insisted she would put it in, he left frustrated and the customer who she was with said it herself that this young rep was very rude. This place has potential to thrive if Natasha wasn't there because she keeps people like me who send packages out on a daily basis, away. She makes the post office feel as if they deliver one hell of a great service. How sad, Natasha dear if you can't take the heat just please stay out the kitchen. I highly doubt the owners would approve of the crappy customer service you provide. read more
